The site was very uneven, rocky and too small for a family of 4. Site 424 was way too close to the road/parking area. Other visitors frequently backed up their vehicles into our site to get out of the parking spots creating a dangerous situation for my two round children. The site was not raked to remove broken glass, plastic pieces' and other small trash. Very disappointing with a $90/night cost.

We loved the campground. It was nice that the quiet time in the evening was quiet . No issues at all. We will definitely come again.

We prefer campgrounds with privacy/trees, but understand this campground caters more to RV’s. Still disappointing to see clearcut land with very little tree canopy outside of the small tented site area. Tent sites too close together, we were kept awake 9-11pm with a large family arriving in the dark to set up. (They were very nice.) Would be great if ocean sites had a path for access to swim.

The staff and services are very responsive. Staff will deliver wood or pick up garbage at your site. Bathroom and showers are clean and modern. The sites are very expensive and crammed together. There is little or no privacy.

Bathroom not always clean and no activity for young adults nor music of any entertainment! Food and firewood way to high when you can buy across the street for $5.00! The view was nice though. I think overall the camp site is priced to expensive! I felt bad that my children didn’t have anything to do while staying here.

Our stay at the Bar Harbor/Oceanside KOA was incredible! From the delivery of ice and wood, the kid activities, the Lobster Trap Cafe, the train rides around the park, it was nothing short of spectacular! Waking up to the smells, sounds, and views of the ocean was breathtaking. We would highly recommend!

We had horrible customer service by the three women at the desk on 7/20/25. Large branch broke off over our tent (that happens, I understand) and the women at the desk laughed at us, called it the widow maker, belittled us and refused to even move our firewood. There were cabins available and they refused bc of the 2 night req.Incredibly rude, you lost a loyal customer.Manager did help eventually.

KOA Oceanside was the perfect place to stay on our trip to Bar Harbor/Acadia! It was only about a 20 minute drive to downtown and the parks. Everything was clean, staff was super friendly, and it didn’t feel crammed. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay was fantastic the employees are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. One of the showers in the big bath needs to be addressed - stall #8 - the water was cold and the drain stunk and I dropped my towel. I moved to another shower that was hot but the stink of the drain in 8 was unbearable.

The tent sites are too close from each others. Only 3 showers for too many people. Only 1 sink to do your dishes. Toilet paper way too thin, you just pray not to get diarrhea. Clearly overpriced!

We booked an “oceanFRONT” tent site and were so excited for our stay. When we arrived the site wasn’t oceanfront at all, it actually wasn’t even ocean view as the site was completely wooded with no access to the ocean. This is blatant false advertising and after driving 1100 miles with two young children excited to camp right on the ocean, we are extremely disappointed.

Camp site was in a great location and bathrooms were clean and well stocked, we had a great time and will definitely come back.

We’ve stayed here several times over the last 15 years and enjoy our stay every time. Each time we come back there has been updates made to the facilities and activities. The kids have a blast and are occupied the entire time we are there. My 10 and 4 year old are tough critics and both said they had fun and can’t wait to come back.

Very clean and many conveniences are covered. Friendly and helpful staff too. Loved our stay! My only suggestion would be a bottle-filling station. It was hard to fill water bottles for hiking. Thank you for a great time!

Nice, quite, and sheltered camping areas with small roofs for dry storage leaves or preparations during rain at each camping space. I could not use the electrical socket at the tend, as its sheltering box didn't had the space to plug in my electrical currency adapter. Prices for beverages and also the overnight rate a high - there are more affordable camping locations around.

I came for one night with my 11 yo son, as he was headed to a summer camp in Seal Harbor. KOA allowed us to break up what would have been a 10 hour round trip for me (mom) and enjoy some time together. My son LOVED everything about this KOA. From the beaches to explore, the fantastic food options (lattes and lobster and icecream!), helpful staff, great activities & play around. Def recommend!

We enjoyed staying at KOA Acadia. I think the two issues we had while there was that we paid extra to be on the ocean and we had an ocean view, but weren’t on the ocean. It wasn’t the site pictured that we paid extra for. Also, we went to a tie dye event and weren’t told it would cost money until after my daughter made a shirt. I had a great time! The cabin, bathrooms, and bath houses were very clean. This KOA is in a great location and very close to Acadia National Park. I would definitely stay again.

A wonderful, helpful staff. The grounds were well maintained. Nice water views from many spaces, but many spaces lacked any shade. The men's room near the laundry needed some maintenance and repair.
