We only stayed for one night didn’t get in til 7 as our whale watch was canceled in the am and had to go in the afternoon instead over all super cute the camper didn’t smell the best but for one night and the camp infront of us barked the whole time we had a fire so we put it out and went to bed. Maybe we will try again at some point

Excellent customer service!! The tent site we had was absolutely beautiful and right on the bay. The bathhouse was one of the cleanest I have seen in a KOA. We will definitely be back whenever we are back in Maine.

Our campsite was nicely mowed and was on the ocean. Beautiful view! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the fact that they pick up garbage daily. It’s quite pricey, though, and to have your camper pumped out is high, also. Was very disappointed that ONLY ONE washing machine worked in their laundromat… shouldn’t get to that point. Nicely maintained campground throughout!

The staff were amazing and very accommodating. The campground was very clean The only negative would be that the laundry facilities were not in working order. Overall stay was extremely nice

The extra bathroom by the wagon corral (that is not there) on the map needs to be taken off. Distance to bathrooms is something that is a huge consideration when booking with my little ones. The kabin area could use a little more mulch during big rains but other than that, we had a great time! Loved having a food option on site and the kids loved the activities!

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park was very clean and store had a wide variety of items. Bus pickup conveniently located at front office and taxi/2 ubers available. Water front sites had beautiful views and a fair amount of space with nice firepits. Cons: multiple washers out of order, mosquitos were bad, and wifi was weak. Some scheduled events did not happen as posted. Overall great

Loved the Lobster cafe! The food was very good! The lobster was the best we had anywhere in the Bar Harbor area! The sunsets were beautiful. The campground was quiet and clean, the staff was super friendly, helpful and attentive. We will stay here again!

Good: location, scenery, staff were great. Bad: cabin stunk like filthy wet dog. Huge negative for me. Why am I paying full price for a cabin that smells dirty wet dog? Staff advised they’ve had many complaints. Never would stay at a KOA cabin again that allows pets.

The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were wonderful. Nice cabins. The activities for kids were great too. Our son absolutely loved the train!

Friendliest staff, that are overly communicative! I knew what was going on in the campground 24/7. We even had an alert that some theft had happened and to secure items. Very clean/well kept grounds. The bus stops at the campground to bring you into bar harbor and into the NP. The dog was even allowed on the bus! Pick up a schedule from the front desk!

Beautiful campground with great service! Very close to both downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area!

Had a great water front site with lots of tree cover. Enjoyed the sunset very much. Also enjoyed the on-site food in particular the lobsters. One recommendation, the prizes for bingo included alcoholic beverage mix. I would recommend not giving alcohol related prizes, there are younger people participating and not everyone drinks.

Staff was very good. Excellent location, with great harbor views. Only two concerns that I have is that it is very pricey and at those rates some of the sites could be better leveled.

Do not tent camp at this KOA. Bathrooms are not close to tent site. There is standing water that causes mosquitoes to be in very high concentrations near the tent site we were in. The site also had churned mud making it difficult to set up camp. Please note that sites are waterview, not waterfront. You must be in an RV for water frontage. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

The deluxe cabin was excellent! Clean, comfortable, and great amenities. It exceeded my expectations. The campground itself was well-run and had great activities for kids and families.

We loved everything about our stay! Large spots, great food/snacks at the food shack, delicious lobster rolls!, safe for the kids to ride their scooters around, clean playground area, and plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. And very friendly and helpful staff and the store delivery service is the best! We spend almost a week here and would definitely go back.

We’ve been coming for years, but this year was tough. It’s getting too expensive to stay here and it felt kind of empty (maybe people are priced out?). It has so much potential and is a special place. It would be great to see it more “alive” again. Staff were mostly new and we missed former favorites.

Despite the rain, KOA personnel were very helpful and accomodating! We enjoyed Bar Harbor and the surrounding areas, and seeing "our" camping friends!

Excellent location! Clean sites. Friendly and attentive staff. The unisex bathhouse is great for families with children. The text messages of activities and last calls for wood and ice were helpful.

This place was awesome! The staff were really wonderful & I love that we could just text the front desk & get ice, fire wood, etc delivered right to our tent! Loved the live music & beer tasting feature one of the nights we were there as well, what a fun touch. Tent sites are cozy & close to the water. Would definitely stay here again!

Appreciated the grill, the view the electric and water hookups. The bathrooms were not the cleanest and the although the new washers and dryers were very clean and new looking only 2 washers were working and 2 dyers were also not in working commission. Check-in staff were very friendly and helpful.

It rained a lot during our stay. Lots of mosquitoes! Couldn’t see Maine from Cadillac Summit because of fog. Bathroom was soaking wet from humidity.

Cabin with two rooms was clean and nice set up. Late arrival was easy. Enjoyed texts from campground about KOA activities and our stay/ not too many but just enough. Friendly staff. Close to Acadia and Bar Herbor. Would stay again.

This is our favorite place and all the amenities are great. Even though we don’t have kids we love the sewing the children & families doing things together. The staff are amazing, especially Jane who keeps the grounds mowed & flowers in good shape…she mows & weed-eats every day the weather permits to do open sites before the next arrival. Lobster Cafe should be open every day not closed T-W.

This was our 22nd year on the same site at the KOA. Staff and campers are always friendly. Very friendly new Manager. Rode around and met the campers!! love the ocean, just wished after 4 years of having an uprooted tree stump on the lot it would be taken care of. Looking forward to 2024.....hopefully stump free!!

Staff was overall not friendly. My site was not cleaned when I arrived despite two staff members on two different golf carts parked right next to each other having a casual conversation and not helping move out of the way while parking the rig. You will receive at least 8 txt messages a day to sell you stuff. Not worth the money. We found a better park with amenities even closer to the park.

Our stay was great! The only reason why I didn't rate as a 5 was because there was a site across from us that was completely under water and the people camping there couldn't get in or out of their trailer without stepping in fairly deep water. Location next to the ocean and access to tide pools was fantastic though!

Absolutely loved the campground- our favorite one ever! The staff were super friendly, and it feels like KOA thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable from the smores around the fire to the honeywagon to dump tanks. My only complaint/feedback would be that all waterfront sites are not equal, and I didn't get the kind of site that I thought I would. However, we still absolutely loved it

It is great. The only 2 problems is that you have no parking next to cabin so everything has to be lugged and at dark it’s not fun ( carts are convenient though.) the other is lack of restrooms. I’m the middle of the night having to walk such a long distance is not fun.

I really enjoed the campground and all the amenities and water access. What I didn't love was my cabin. I don't know if when I booked I chose a pet friendly one or not? Anyway it smelled terrible. We tried to spray the inside and that didn't help. Also the dog in the cabin next to us wouldn't stop barking for 2 hours straight. This meant I couldn't enjoy the screened in porch. I really try

Staff were amazing! My only suggestion would be to keep up with the website in terms of activities and when they will specifically be offered. We thought we might be able to participate in certain activities during our stay and were disappointed to find out they weren't all available daily.

Great in so many ways BUT the internet access REMAINS iffy at BEST which in this day and age is completely unacceptable. Also, PLEASE mend the sail on The Carolyn, or take in the sail (just wrap it to the mast). Having this memorial is truly lovely and for those of us (many), who knew and loved Carolyn over decades, are completely offended by the tattered sail. An easy fix. Shame on KOA.
