Setting up reservations was simple and easy... Had a couple hiccups, and while being short staffed Management handle all concerns immediately.... THAT IS IMPRESSIVE THESE DAYS ���... HWY NOISE WAS A BIT LOUD...NEXT TIME WE WILL ASK FOR A MORE DISTANCED SITE...NO BIGGIE...they are very open about I40 traffic and willing to work with ya... another plus! Wonderful place. I don’t understand everyone’s concerns about the noise from i40. We sat outside and carried on quiet conversations without any issues. Pool is nice, store is nice, and the pavilion is awesome. Will 100% be coming back!

The park was clean and staff was incredibly friendly, we’re not used to staying so close to a major interstate highway. The noise from the highway made our stay less than pleasant.

The premium sites are directly by I40. It is very loud and not worth sitting outside. Hosts were great and accommodating as we wished to change to a site further away from the road.

The only drawback was the highway noise. Staff was helpful, and the noise didn't keep us from getting a good night's sleep.

We were just traveling thru for the night. Road noise from highway terrible. Could hear it all night. Campsite had barely enough room for our motorhome and no grass .

The staff is great. Only problem was the electrical connection. They sent someone out to fix it but he couldn’t. We just hoped it would stay on during the night which it did.

Just stayed 2 nights but everyone was so nice and helpful. They have us a long water hose because we missed seeing in the reservation that we needed a longer one. Enjoyed our short stay, !!!!

Very nice KOA. Very easy to get to off of I40. Our site was long enough for both our fifth wheel and our truck. We did have to unhook. The only negative is that the KOA is right next to I40 and the road noise is very loud.

Staff was excellent and grounds were in great condition. It is near the highway, so as stated in other reviews, it can be loud at times. That was the only negative.

Definitely noisy, workers unplugged our camper twice while working the rocks next to camper, got our camper hose, power cords all dirty. Computer in camper now not working correctly.

Site was clean flat and easy to access. Bathroom was also well maintained. Loved the walking trails and general layout. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Easy check in. Everyone was nice. Stay was quiet and relaxing. Lots of natural areas including grass fields and hiking trails.

Kimberly in the office was most unfriendly not wanting to go one step out of her way to help and acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to do anything for the guests. She didn't smile and was unwelcoming. I experienced a health issue while there and had to check out before our scheduled departure. When I asked Kimberly to call the (understanding) owner she did but rolled her eyes.

We have stayed at hundreds of campgrounds over the years, but the staff at KOA West Asheville were by far the best. They are still in recovery after several storms which devastated the property, but they are all involved in making the campers feel welcomed and relaxed. The trails, camp K-9, the beautiful wood work, manicured sites. We will be back!!

The campground is well maintained and clean but very close to the interstate and you’ve got the constant noise from the traffic.

While the campground is nice, it is challenging for larger rvs to get in and out and to park. We have a 36 ft. 5th wheel and once that was set up in our site, there was not really enough room to park our tow vehicle, inhibiting our use of the outside area. The truck was parked partially alongside the rv in the outside area and too close to the fire pit and where we would sit.

Right on Rte. 40. Constant roar of traffic. The dog walk area is infested with ticks.

We had a great stay at Asheville West KOA! It is an easy ride to the Biltmore and all the activities in Asheville. The camp owners and staff were exceptional. They work tirelessly to maintain the campground! We camped in a 45ft motorhome towing and had ample space in our site.

People EXTREMELY nice. I noted the bathrooms were VERY clean and maintained On the lighter side - i was tent camping for two nights and it rained for two days about 75% of the time:(. Will go again. The primitive cabins looked nice.

My family and I had the best stay! While we were there we talked about how we should make this a 4thbof July tradition. The staff were all incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. The amenities from the pool to the bathroom and showers were all very clean and safe. It was also close to some great trails and downtown asheville. Would definitely recommend!

Great campground. They have been rebuilding from storm damage and the campground is nice. Sites are mostly level, the pool was clean. Staff was very nice especially when we pulled in right as they were closing. We were only here one night but would stay here again. Thank for for accommodating us!
