The campground, cabin, and bathrooms were all super clean. The cabin had a sheet on the mattresses which is nice and different. 99% of the KOAs I have been never do that in the non linen cabins.

Well, you have a great campground, I used the laundry room and everything was clean and ready. My only complaint is the larger picture that is common among majority of koa are the sites are too close together.

Nice overnight stay. The park is super clean and stay very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the walking trail. It was well marked and easy to navigate. Would definitely stop again!

We spent 7 nights at this KOA, very friendly staff. The campground backs up to I40 so there was plenty of road noise, they offered ear plugs and links to “White Noise” if you wanted them. Actually we got used to it pretty quickly. The site we had was not very level, but thanks for the leveling system on our unit it worked. Did not use the restrooms so no comment on them. Stay was good. Staff is friendly. When I was leaving I bought some of their ground coffee and it cost $21.40 for one pound bag of coffee. That was a little outrageous.

Very nice campground. The space between campers was good. . Very clean. The pool was nice. The employees were all very nice.We would definitely stay here again.

My fiance and I enjoyed our stay at the Ashville West KOA. The grounds were well kept. The bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities and pool were clean and in good working order. We really enjoyed the site that we picked as it had a picnic table with a wooden shelter overhead. It gave us a place to sit when it rained. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We look forward to staying there again

This was HONESTLY the VERY BEDT KOA we have been to!!!! The grounds are beautiful and the amenities were wonderful! I told the staff while we were there how very nice it is!!! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this KOA to EVERYONE!!!

The KOA Asheville West is not a bad KOA. My rating is only three and five for the likelihood of recommending to someone else due to the extreme noise level from Interstate 40. The overall Campground is okay nothing particularly wrong with Campground or campsites or the host or anyone else that I talked with. We just stayed one night instead of two simply because the noise was unbelievably loud.

Loved that we received a text welcoming us and asking for ETA so our site would be ready. Super friendly staff! Very nice restrooms and private showers! Property was very nice and clean and pretty landscaping! Loved the beautiful trail hike! Highly recommend this property!

The facilities were nice and kept clean. The store hours were good for the one time I needed it. However, the location was so close to the highway you could often hear cars and motorcycles when I was trying to sleep. I used ear plugs to sleep. I reserved tent camping and it rained pretty much every day. The space for my tent, which is an average 4 person tent, got my tent very wet.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The campground is located just 16 mins from Asheville. There are plenty of trees and diffused sunlight. The bathrooms were clean and well located. We were disappointed with the roads that desperately need to be re-graveled. We were glad not to be there when it was raining. Also the grounding wires at two sites did not seem to be working.

Beautiful site- perfect for dog owners. Respectful guests and all dogs kept on leash which is unusual at so many other campgrounds.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!

We used a campsite with an awning and a 30 amp outlet. The owners and staff are very competent, friendly and accommodating. We took a dip in the pool before we turned in. We used the laundry that new machines. We had a look at a cabin. The cabins have a shared cooking facility. I think we stay there again. Fantastic experience.
