We booked a tent site but due to weather related conditions and traveling with children, they were able to accommodate a stay in a basic camping cabin and it worked perfect! Thank you so much for the great hospitality!!

The cabin and camp grounds were well maintained. The only issue was the toilet in the cabin was too small other than that the stay was great.

I have been to nearly 100 KOA’s around the country. was highly disappointed when I rented a cabin and they were on top of each other. Zero privacy and a shared fire pit. No charcoal grill. When I sat outside the cabin I was 2 feet from someone’s cabin. It was aweful. I would not recommend

Sorry our standard Camping Cabins felt too close for comfort. They’re clustered around a shared fire pit and don’t include grills;Our camping kitchen does! Deluxe Cabins have a private patio, grill & more space. Next visit let us know and we’ll reserve one farther out. Happy trails! — Heathe

Easy check in and friendly staff. Great location. What’s not to love! The camping cabin was great. Camping with electric and A/C. It doesn’t get better than that! Thanks. Will definitely stay again.

All the employees were so nice and helpful. The forest type setting was great giving a feeling of nature! The restrooms were very clean and accessible to the cabin we occupied.

Ashville West is indeed a nice campground. We have stayed here in our RV, site was a bit tricky but good once we got in and leveled. This time did one night in one of their deluxe cabins. That word deluxe is why I rate only four stars. Cozy, yes. Clean and comfy, yes. Maybe not deluxe. The deck was nice and large. Staff at check in super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful. The cabin was clean. The mattress was surprisingly comfy, at least for my small frame.

We stayed up n the deluxe cabin and it was great! The mini kitchen and bathroom was a great addition for a week visiting this area. This was our 2nd stay this fall. We came from IL to work with Samaritans Purse.

The cabin I stayed in was clean and bug free! The restrooms and showers are also very clean and can be easily accessed from anywhere on the campsite, but especially the cabins. The land is beautiful, the dog park nice & spacious, and the hiking trails are short but beautiful! There is a pool & other activities if you are bringing your kids during summer.

My only issue was lack of access to electrical outlets. I had to move bed to add power strip to outlet behind bed so I could have access to electronics near my bed (CPAP, Hearing Aids, Smartphone, etc)

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
