Beautiful KOA campground! The changing fall leaves surrounding our site was a perfect picture. Heather at check-in was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed all the staff who run this campground. Definitely will stay here again.

Awesome customer service. We had trouble with our cable but Justin was awesome and helped to get it to work. Thx Justin. The koa owned roasted coffee was delicious. I bought some to take home with me. Overall stay was great!

Clean campground. Nice spots. Bathrooms/showers very nice. Good internet and tv reception. Only downside is the traffic noise from I40.

Staff was very helpful. Campground was clean,but right off I40 so you really hear the traffic noise. We also prefer paved roads and concrete pads.

It’s so beautiful here and well thought out!! Spending the winters and we are so excited. The staff are really helpful and knowing that it’s family run makes it that much more special.

The surroundings were really beautiful with the autumn leaves. We were in Ashville for a quick errand. We had to leave early for the appointment, but the campground graciously allowed us to come back later to use the dump site.

Great stop over. Easy in and out. Good pull thru site, will definitely stop again. We just stopped overnight so we didn't use any amenities really. The office staff was excellent and attentive at check in and in guiding us to our site. All in all a very good stay.

The staff was friendly. I only stayed the night and did not get to experience the amenities. But the camp site was not level front to back. I was unable to leave my trailer hooked to my truck for any early morning departure. But actually had to dig a small 2" hole under my tongue jack to lowwer it enough to level my 22ft trailerd.I had to use an 50amp adapter, because the 30amp breaker was broken.

Only thing I didn’t like about this campground was the freeway noise. But, I get it. When you’re in the mountains you have very little are in between.

I felt like the camper next door was right on top of us. I know they are still recovering from the hurricane, but the campground itself, was fine.

Beautiful park. Loved the walking trail around the perimeter of the park. It was challenge for us to get level, but we know you are working on the sites.

Super fun stay allowing our whole family to celebrate a fun birthday and get some trick or treating in in our costumes. The staff is very sweet, welcoming and friendly! The property is good sized but doesn’t feel overwhelming. Good mix of patrons - fun family trip!

First time in the area so am unsure of how much they have had to do to recover from Helene, but the campground is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were here at the most beautiful time of year, with the fall foliage an unbelievably spectacular backdrop to our campsite. Would come back and stay here in a heartbeat!

Nice park, but the sites are very unlevel. Very hard to enjoy the fire pit because it was on a hill. A lot of noise from interstate.

The showers and toilets were clean. The water pressure was excellent, and the hot water was immediate. The only complaint we have is that we could smell the bathrooms since our site was so close to the bathrooms.

Staff was welcoming courteous helpful and skilled. The facilities were in good repair clean and adult-sized. Location very close to 40 was convenient for easy on/off access.

Friendly welcome check-in, lead us to our site, level and nice amount of shade. Beautiful fall leaves. Very clean bathrooms, laundry and activity room. Disappointed that campground lost cable signal after after roofing contractors removed main antenna from office. Pool closed for the season. Fair amount of Highway noise although we used a fan to drown it out, Pricey rate.

We had the best time staying at the KOA West Asheville, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. .. I wanna give a shout out to RAI that helped me my hydraulic jacks wouldn’t go up He spent an hour diagnosing my issue and figured out how to get them up to get me on the road at home when above and beyond thank you all for a great experience Jeff &Jill Silverthorne

Great campground, beautiful place to stay and conveniently located to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Depending on your site, it could be a little close to the interstate, but it seems most of the campgrounds are this way in this area. I will definitely go back again.

Our truck quit on us about 60 ft. from the office to check in. We had hauled a 5th wheel 12 hrs and she was done! Thankfully we had a wonderful gentleman hook up to our truck and camper and towed us the rest of the way up the hill!! After letting the truck rest overnight she was fine!! Thank you for helping us!! We will definitely be back! Your campground is beautiful! Your staff is great!!

It was a great place to stay halfway between Asheville and Waynesville. We specifically went for the fall festival and to look at the colors. It was really spectacular. The campground was very clean very nice and the staff were just great. I would definitely stay here again.

Extremely noisy, highway traffic noise hard to take. If looking for relaxation, ( as with most camping experiences) trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, not happening ! Clean accommodations, pleasant staff other than that !!

It's a ok campground, Improvement is needed for more gravel on roads and sites to keep down all the dust. And either expand the current bath house or build new ones because they are not large enough for the amount of non septic sites this campground has.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
