Very nice campground! Arrived after hours Karen called so that we had all our information and when we arrived Dennis showed us to our site! Great staff and great campground!

Fabulous stay! This was my first visit to a KOA and it exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the people who work there were super nice and welcoming!

Great location and very pleasant staff. Very dog-friendly. The coffee (they roast the beans right on site)that is in the store is insanely delicious! We would return the next time we are in the area.

Nice campground, friendly staff, though we didn't interact with them much. Stayed there twice within 3 weeks. A little noisy close to the freeway, but a nice setting and well maintained.

i dont like how the premier spots are booked first and are more expensive versus all the less expensive spots at the other end of the campground. when we drive around there were plenty of other options available instead of the more expensive pull throughs. I had 2 class A rv's nxt to me on multiple nights with very loud on board generators to run their aux heat. hurricane repairs seem to be slow.

The customer service was awesome. Very welcoming, and nice. Host helped with carrying wood to campsite. Campsites were very cleaned and maintained. Would recommend to anyone to camp here.

Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Grounds were well maintained with lots of trails to entertain my toddler so that was an unexpected perk. Bath house was clean and well ventilated. Other campers were quiet and polite. Easy access in and out of the campground. Convenient location between Maggie Valley and Asheville.

Campsite was clean and the staff was outstanding. I would rate higher but the sites were not very level and the noise from the interstate was just too loud.

We have stayed at this KOA twice a year as we are traveling through the area during the spring and fall for many years. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the grounds are clean and well kept. I have a 40’ RV towing a Jeep and have no problem fitting into the site and have never had to disconnect. The only downside is that it’s right off of I-40 so it’s a little noisy.

Great friendly staff. The bath house was spotless which is if paramount importance to this Nurse. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Asheville.

The upper campground is much better than lower. upper has nice bathrooms, showers, and laundry. They were all very clean. Great book selection and games. The lower area needs new bathrooms and to move the wrecked gold van from viewing. It’s not great that the van is 1st impression you get of lower campground. highway traffic is 24/7! campers must run white noise or something to block noise.

We went there to see the Biltmore estate. The folks were very friendly. We were going to stay 4 nights but the weather was only going to be 27 high and rain for the last day so we left a day early and they gave a refund for that last day. Thank you.

Staff was very friendly. Maintenance of the grounds is below KOA standards. We were located in the section with predominately full timers which is not typically as social as the sections with transient travelers. Due to the large separation of the Dog parks there should probably be another one built as the people on the hill had a long way to walk to get to the park. Bathroom were very clean

We had a little trouble with our hitch lock and the folks on site jumped in to assist! Nice clean bathrooms, lovely site.

All staff were friendly and professional. Sight was clean and the most flat I have stayed at in my short camping ventures (first time at a KOA). A little lacking with activities for kids and families (it was fall when pool was closed.) Trails also needed some up keeping. But over all, I enjoyed my stay. Will come again.

Like others have stated, staff was very friendly and helpful, park is well maintained. Highway noise is 24/7 and we could see the highway from inside our RV. Our fur buddy loved the dogpark, lots of friends to play with.

The staff was great they called to confirm or reservations and when I let them know we would be late they left are keys and a packet for us too pick up when we arrived. The cabin was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful KOA campground! The changing fall leaves surrounding our site was a perfect picture. Heather at check-in was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed all the staff who run this campground. Definitely will stay here again.

Awesome customer service. We had trouble with our cable but Justin was awesome and helped to get it to work. Thx Justin. The koa owned roasted coffee was delicious. I bought some to take home with me. Overall stay was great!

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
