This KOA location is located directly adjacent to I-40 which produces a great deal of road noise. Additionally, the dirt roads are very dusty during dry days and muddy during wet days. There is not enough crushed rock on the roads or pads. Additionally, the cable TV connection for site F-4 is not functional as confirmed by their technician. Their solution was to use a splitter on site F-3.

I pulled in late Saturday afternoon, and was able to score a great campsite at a good price. I was only there one night, but it looks like a great place to stay for a couple of weeks.

I had a beautiful campsite. I felt safe there, slept well, and even met one of your employees from Ohio, near where I live. She was great. I'm glad for the KOA network. Traveling alone, it's important that I feel secure and welcome. Thank you.

Planned for a 5 night stay and had to leave a day early. Our issue so we didn’t request a refund. To our pleasant surprise, we were issued a refund for that day. One of the many reasons why I use KOA at every opportunity. Thank you.

The hosts are very pleasant and accommodating. Pool is clean and beautiful. Park is tidy and neat.

Nice little campground. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Only draw back is the pull thru sites are all dirt and gravel. Sites are short and would not recommend them for anything over 36 feet.

The staff was great, the bathrooms and common areas were great, but there were some issues with our site. We were in F24 with a 39’ fifth wheel and it was very difficult to set up. Also, there was significant road noise. I’m sure they would have let us move, but we got in late and I as finally able to land the front and back jacks. So, with the office long since closed we just let it go.

Staff was friendly and helpful on arrival. Bathrooms and showers are clean and updated. Sites were very tight and close together though and the noise from the highway was too loud for our liking. Thankfully it was just an overnight stop.

Staff is wonderful. Noise level is too much. Road noise from Interstate 40 is horrible. Unfortunately there is nothing they can do about it. Ear plugs are not the answer.

Convenient off I-40. It does have traffic noise. It’s a short trip to Pisgah Inn for lunch with nice overlook the mountains from the dining room.

Nice park, great stop heading west, easy in and out, gas station just off exit, friendly staff, nice pool. Right off highway so you can hear traffic. Didn't bother us at all. And they offer ear plugs if you need them!

This is a great KOA. The campground is well kept. Our dogs loved the K9 club. The trails were a nice change to just walking the campground roads. We didn't use the bath house,but would expect it to be as clean and well kept as the rest of the place. It is close to interstate but for the most part did not interfere with enjoying our stay. We will come again!

Site was way too narrow and short for our small travel trailer. Way too much highway/truck stop noise. Staff were friendly and facility was clean but overall the site was way too small to park our vehicle and small trailer trailer and enjoy a fire.

Not a tenting campground. We got a site that didn’t even fit our six man dome and had to switch sites to get it to fit on the driveway. The campground is designed for RV’s. The bath house also has a code to get into and the receptionist didn’t tell us that, and my poor kid had an accident while I ran back to the site to get the paper to find a code. It was clean, and nice, just not tent

Long term rentals should be in a separate area. Renting a premium site with a patio should not have to look at an unsightly extremely dirty, moldy unkept RV, which obviously has been there for a long time as the water lines were wrapped in insulation, and we stayed at the end of July. Staff was very friendly, however the stay was tainted by the very unkept Rv parked next to us.

We were so impressed at the attention to details around the park the constant raking and cleaning and wiping down tables was such a positive. Also, the staff was very nice and a special shout out to Gary, who was an especially helpful with Iinformation. Also another thank you to one of your workers who help my husband try to figure out the cable situation for our TV.

The people were very friendly but the site was very uneven and mostly dirt and tree roots. Was not a very nice place to sit and relax.

It was a really cool place and very well taken care of. The only pitfall is the highway noise, but it says that on the check in sheet. Very kind staff!

We definitely have a new favorite campground in Western NC! Very nice and convenient to Asheville and other sights. Well maintained and courteous personnel.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
