Stay was excellent. The staff were helpful when needed. The only negative is the proximity to the freeway (noise) and that is something that cannot be corrected. That is why the rating was not a 10. The facility and bathrooms were nice and clean.

We realize you have do deal with I-40, but we were given Site 8 and almost could not have been place closer to the Highway. We really should have asked for a different site, but once we un-hooked and leveled, it just wasn't worrth the effort. We won't be back.

Friendly staff, clean restrooms. I would recommend this campground if you have an RV, but not if you are staying in a tent due to the traffic noise.

Staff were very friendly. Spot was good size and mostly level. We didn’t use any amenities so can’t speak to that. Nice table at site and fire ring. My only reason for not giving a higher rating is the noise from highway. We were on F so right next to it and I had trouble sleeping due to it. I’m guessing the spots further away might not have that problem.

I realize you cannot do anything about the noise problem. But I will most likely never stay there again because of it. It would help if the highway department could do something about that bump on the freeway that the trucks rattle over. The grounds themselves are nice. The spot I was in needs some more leveling. I had to park farther away from utilities hook up than I would have preferred which

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay, this is not it. It is right off of interstate 40 and you hear traffic all day and all night. Also we had a tent camper make a very rude comment to us as he was walking his dog. If I was just rating the people working there and the cleanliness of the campground, I would give it 5 stars.

This campground was well maintained, the staff were charming and gracious, but the location (being right on TOP of I-40) was the problem. The noise from the highway was the loudest I've ever experienced before. If you don't mind road noise, this place was ideal.

This is a great location if you are exploring the Asheville area and the attractions. 20 minutes to town (no traffic). Large dog park! Highly recommend this KOA.

Koa should not be doing their wash from the cabins in the laundry room during the day. .especially when two washers and two dryers where broke. I had two wait for them to get done. Other than that the camp was ok.They are doing good getting everything back in order from storm hele

We stop here annually to visit friends in the area. Very nice RV park. A few things I would like to note. We only use campground cable for TV when trees block our satellite dish as is the case here. Your cable does not work well so we used the few OTA channels. There is traffic noise and we understand. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Taff was very friendly and the campgrounds was clean. The freeway noise was really bad. Although recovering from the hurricane is a long and slow process some work is still needed on the roads. I would stay at this KOA again.

Very clean campground. Friendly staff. Checkin quick and easy. On the downside I decided to use the showers as we had several in our camper. The water was like tap water (not hot). Showers are clean but does not separate men from ladies. Also, it was noisy since next to I 40. We did not get much sleep.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
