If traveling and absolutely need a place to stay I would come back. But, the traffic noise is terrible. Thanks for the ear plugs. If I refer someone I would be sure to tell them about the noise. The camp itself was great!

The sites were clean and the staff was friendly. We stayed 3 nights and found it to be a very nice. Campground.

For the most part it was a pretty pleasant stay. The interstate was really noisy, but I guess there really isn’t much you can do about that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities where well kept and clean.

Only stayed overnight but very nice campground nestled in the trees. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to the interstate which is bitter sweet when traveling but I would definitely stay again

Always a friendly and helpful smile when checking in. I also noticed host workers were out carrying firewood and asking if you may need some . Ice cream cart came around which was nice evening treat. Plus I like knowing this was going to Care Free Camp for kids so of course we bought some even though we had ice cream in camper. Look forward to coming back . Roxane and Chris

We did not use the bath house or pool You can hear road noise outside but in our camper it wasn’t noticeable It was a nice campground The only complaint I had was there was no grass

We stayed with our dogs for the night. We were late getting in and Julia in the office was great!! It was exactly what we were looking for and look forward to staying here in the future!!!

I have been to nearly 100 KOA’s around the country. was highly disappointed when I rented a cabin and they were on top of each other. Zero privacy and a shared fire pit. No charcoal grill. When I sat outside the cabin I was 2 feet from someone’s cabin. It was aweful. I would not recommend

Sorry our standard Camping Cabins felt too close for comfort. They’re clustered around a shared fire pit and don’t include grills;Our camping kitchen does! Deluxe Cabins have a private patio, grill & more space. Next visit let us know and we’ll reserve one farther out. Happy trails! — Heathe

Lots of highway noise. Low water pressure. Cable was sketchy, reported three times but dont know if anyone tried to fix it. Staff was very friendly.

Good site, plenty of grassy areas to walk dog and plenty of dog bags and disposing cans. A moderately challenging hike in the woods with some steeper inclines and declines that might have a number of roots. Excellent hot shower. Would like to see separate sex restrooms even though showers locked and code needed to enter restrooms.

Make sure you know what spot you're reserving. Going by the pictures, we reserved a back-in spot that looked great. It's a bait and switch. We got put in the B section next to the highway, just a lousy strip of gravel with nowhere to sit outside on level ground, right next to the interstate. It's basically a work camp for the I-40 reconstruction, unless you're by the office.

This was our second stay here. Obviously the first one was great and prompted our return. Great staff is always friendly and helpful with any need you may have. Next time through, we will be stopping here again for sure

The staff was extremely helpful to me on two occasions. In spite of recovering from Helene, the grounds were in very good condition. It was obvious they were working daily to fix things. My only issue is that, in the B section, campers who least NEED the bathroom/shower building get to park the closest. I'm sure they use it, but people who don't have bathrooms have farther to walk.

The park is beautiful. The staff is totally awesome. Everyone was courteous and helpful. The bathroom situation is a bit odd to me. The women and men share a common area bathhouse. I don't like the set up. When I walk in, or get out of the shower, I really don't want the sounds, smells or sights of men walking amongst me. They were clean though...most important!!

This location is apparently run by a husband-and-wife team. They couldn't have been more accommodating. From the check in where I received a snack just for being a customer to all the great information about the area, to the follow up call to see if all was up to our expectations, I'd say the customer service was outstanding. I'd stay here again 100%!.

We originally reserved a site that was too short for our Class B and the cargo trailer combined (22+13). I was called and offered another site that would accommodate the total length of 35 feet. However, when we arrived after hours, the site assigned was too short. We called the after hours number and the person on call was able to move us to a site that was long enough. THANK YOU!

Clean convent location, a bit noisy from the highway traffic. It would be a nice addition to have walking pathways added so you didn’t have to walk the full length to get to the laundry, pool, game room and office/showers. We have stayed here twice and everything else is wonderful

Easy check in and friendly staff. Great location. What’s not to love! The camping cabin was great. Camping with electric and A/C. It doesn’t get better than that! Thanks. Will definitely stay again.

In booking our site the person helped was with the reservation was very accomodating. The check in staff was friendly and informative. The campground was very clean and the campsites were spacious and comfortable. The environment was beautiful with many trees and nestled in the hills. However, the campsite was flat and even. The grounds and facilities were immaculate and well maintained.

OK for 1 night stand but we were there for two. Felt more like a mobile home court. Was close to the Biltmore Mansion which made it all worth while.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Beautiful area. Clean and nice sites. Very dog friendly. And super friendly staff. Little noise from the interstate but not unbearable would definitely go bavk

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again. Edit: 2026 - We did visit again! And despite them having had to cope with the hurricane situation, this place still rocks! It feels like they took the opportunity to not just restore, but even improve. Sites are more level, and they have a great cabin area for a family reunion. And next time, we intend to make this a destination choice. Oh- and Kimberly and Heather are terrific!
