The campground is fabulous, clean and the staff are very professional!! The highway noise is a big issue. We go camping to enjoy the outdoors and fresh air, not to close up windows and wear earplugs. Avoid sites close to I-40. Wish I could give all top ratings; I-40 is the dealbreaker.

We stayed in several KOAs in the Appalachians this trip, and my husband says by far Asheville West KOA had the best showers! He rates the showers six stars!

Very noisy. One night with very little sleep. Not big Rig friendly. Very tight. All mud and gravel and steep. Site was fairly level. Wouldn't chose this park again for a 40' motorhome with a tow car on behind. Staff was Very friendly!!

Our final destination was Myrtle Beach. We arrived about 8pm and there was still a guide on duty to guide us to our site! We received a text about our site and what time we would be arriving earlier in the day. The staff was extremely nice and they had welcome treats for the guests as well as our dog. This is a great KOA. Probably the best we have ever stayed in!.

Everything was great, except for the laundry - dryer machine did not dry any load fully. These machines, washer and dryer, are seem old or may need servicing. The staff was awesome and we will be back!

Great help in office. She was very welcoming and very friendly. She wanted to let us know that she was there to help us ,if we had any problems. Camp ground was very clean.

As with every KOA we have stayed at, the staff is wonderful and the grounds are spotless. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the small lots with little to no flat outdoor space. There is also a lot of dirt dust due to roads. We will stay there again and be more aware of which lot we select.

We enjoy our weekend at the KOA and loved our site. We did however find it odd the office closes at 6pm every evening and it made it difficult navigating our plans to try to ensure we had enough firewood all evenings before they closed. If there is a camp host we were not made aware of one to help us if there was an issue. We would camp here again.

The Host family that manages (my bad for not getting their name) is by far the NICEST FAMILY you will ever meet. You better do whatever it takes to keep this family there, This is my second time visiting, and the first time meeting that family at the desk I was impressed, this is the reason we stay there.

Campground areas were very well maintained. The showers were nice and clean but a little small. Restrooms very clean and nice. Easy to check in and staff was very pleasant. We were only traveling through so just spent the night. The road coming into the campground needs repair, had a large pothole. Overall, Nice!

The camp is very clean and really well run. The employees are very nice and professional. The pool is also nice. They do a great job of communicating as well The highway noice is a real issue though. Our Class A coach is normally extremely quiet and we have stayed many nights in Walmart parking lots. Unfortunately the closeness of the camp to I40 is crazy loud.

We stayed for one night at this location. We were running behind schedule and would be arriving after the office closed. We received a friendly phone call letting us know instructions would be left at the front office for us. Last minute I inquired if they could accommodate a site that would allow us to leave our rig attached to our truck. They made the change and that helped us greatly!

We got there late, late checkin was good but the campsites power showed an open ground. So I had to call the after hours manager and change sites which was quick and effective communication but just a big inconvenience. Other than that, the stay went well.

We had a great stay at Asheville West KOA. Staff were super friendly and helpful, campsite was clean and easily accessible, and check in/out procedures were super easy. Highly recommend!

We were wrapping up a month long trip, and decided to stay two more days in Asheville. We knew the park was close to the highway, so expected some road noise. Wonderful front desk check in experience. Very nice staff. Our only complaint was the price for firewood. 6 small pieces for $7. We have paid at most $5 while traveling for a larger bundle. Convenient park right off I-40.

Nice campground but it is literally right next to the interstate so if you expect to have any peace and quiet your out of luck at this campsite.

Bathhouse was spotless, site was clean and dry and all personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. We did have to use the laundry facilities during our stay and only two of the four washers and three of the four dryers were working so this is the only issue I saw.

It is nice. Though right off of 40 it was a bit road noisy it had some great features. The pool is nice and very well kept. Large dog play area, and plenty of places to walk them. It's clean and well maintained, and everyone is very friendly.

It was an almost perfect stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I had any issue, it would be that the auto light in the men’s restroom turns off too quickly in the middle of the night. Everything else was great. Dog park was very nice and clean.

great helpful staff , very easy to take phone reservation . Campground spotless and clean . Bathrooms are impeccable. Well behaved other campers who abided by dog rules . Very close to 1-40 but I declined the offered free ear plugs . Arrived late Sunday afternoon and was disappointed to find that the cold case in shop had only a pack of hotdogs and cheese in it ,

Facilities were well kept and neat. However, we were disappointed with the high pricing for uneven lots, no grass, and small sites. We do understand that nature can cause disruptions in service but when you are advertised for cable and lightning took out the cable, maybe a lower rate could be charged for the inconvenience. Ear plugs are available in the office for the road noice.

It’s always been a great place. Unfortunately, with an electrical strike that caused a lack of phones and Wi-Fi. Things were cut a little short.

What a beautiful, quaint campground. Big, level sites, amazing staff, lovely landscaping. Super clean, too. Loved the nature trail. Can't wait to come back!!!

Great campground, with excellent customer service and maintenance staff! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Loved the gardens and the Veteran tribute tree & nifty art along the hiking/dog walking paths! Beautiful area and just off the highway. A little tricky turning right onto the road from the campground, but if you are careful, you'll be fine! Worth staying at. We will again!

I've been to many KOA locations and this one ranks up there with the best of them! Wonderful staff(especially Julia who was informative and gracious and pretty as a peach), I was warned that it might be noisy based on the proximity to I-40 but the trees blocked out the noise well! Great restroom facility(cleanliness and location), easy-on and easy-off the highway.
