Very nice campground. We noticed the I-40 road noise but it wasn’t too bad. Our water was light brown even with the water filter so that was concerning.

The campground itself is nice. Great bathrooms and showers. We lost power at 2am. Let them know, still waiting to find out if we are receiving any refund due to not being able to use our power for half the time we were there. This was a quick trip. We only stayed to have power. Otherwise we would have done a Walmart of Cabellas.

Great location still recovering from last year’s hurricane. Staff members Gary and Kyle were ready, willing and able to provide us with some mechanical assistance when we needed it. They got us road ready to roll all the way home. Once again, thank you to Gary and Kyle of the Asheville West KOA!

When we came back to our site for the night in the second day we found a Jeep parked in one of the two parking slot of our spot. The Jeep had the front windows a few inches down and three large dogs locked inside (inhuman in this 95 degree heat) and very aggressive. They were maybe about 80lbs each and angry and barking aggressively. So much so we thought they might break the windows. We left.

It's an older camp, well-maintained. The staff are all friendly, courteous and helpful. Bathrooms are spotless. It's right off I-40. There's some traffic noise, but I didn't think it was too bad. Campsites are rather close, the roads in the campground were very dusty.

Such a beautiful campground! I stayed here for three nights. Rode my motorcycle down from Ohio and brought my tent with me. There was some rain but since my picnic table had a cover over it I was still able to enjoy the rain while staying dry. Clean restroom and showers close by and the staff was very friendly. Got to chat with Rich who I really enjoyed getting to know

It seemed to be more workmen than regular campers. There was very little grass so when it rained it was difficult to keep from tracking in.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool was great. I did not realize how close this property was to the interstate so traffic noise took away from it being a relaxing stay. Very disappointed that I was charged $3.00 to add on (change) to my reservation and that it was hidden as an extra child fee (I had no children). $3.00 is not going to break me but it feels as if I was punished for spending.

Very nice staff. Terrible location due to the noise from the road......this can't be overstated. Poison ivy all over the campground. Muddy sites in the rain. Very dark at night. Could use some perimeter lighting.

We stayed 2 nights in a deluxe cabin and enjoyed our stay. The amenities were great including the pool and the trails. We brought bed linens but the bed was all ready for us so we didn't have to use ours.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The site we had was a little small for our camper, but we managed. The only problem we had was we tried to use the restroom by us but it was locked. Everything else seemed clean and well maintained.

Nice campground. Office staff super Friendly! Easy to get to from highway. About 20 mins to Biltmore Did not explore much of the area this trip~ Biltmore was primary reason for trip. Not much for restaurants choices close to CG. Definitely would recommend staying here

Too much road noise. Gave us the wrong site to begin with but we’re very apologetic.

Absolutely amazing ! Peaceful, relaxing ! The campground is 5 minutes from Dollar general 15 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants and approximately 25 minutes from downtown! Staff is great! Campground is clean and quiet ! You occasionally hear the noise from the interstate but it didn't bother us at all. Thank you ! We had an amazing stay ! We will return !

Julia at the front check in area was terrific. The noise from the highway was horrible. Could not even sit outside and enjoy camping. The need for loads of gravel is high. Too much dirt/mud. Bathrooms/showers in major need of remodel. We were in site B3 and walking to the pool not a reality. Do not plan to go back and will return to Ashville KOA East.

KOA West is recovering well from Hurricane Helene. The campground is in decent shape, but some sites need a lot more gravel. When it rains, some sites turn into bit of a mud pit (ours). We got filthy from the afternoon storms. But it’s clear they’re working on it. Despite the mess, the staff was absolutely AMAZING, super helpful and friendly. They deserve all the stars and then some!!

We loved the park and the camp host. They were so pleasant and a great info source for our visit to the Biltmore. I love the fair touches in the landscaping and on the lovely hiking trails. There is a bit of highway noise (totally out of the camps control) in the mornings but our fans easily muffled on our second night.

If you are going to be dog friendly, hold the owners accountable when they allow their dogs to start barking at 7:30 AM( 5 total that barked) at dogs/people walking by all day.

I have stayed in the cabins twice at this KOA (with and without bathrooms). Both times I found the cabins, showers and bathrooms very clean and the grounds well cared for. The staff has been exceptionally kind and helpful. I have stayed at many KOA campgrounds over the past 20 years and found this one to be one I would gladly return to.

We camped at Asheville West KOA in a 45 ft motorhome. The campground is an easy ride to the Biltmore and all other activities in Asheville. The owners and staff were incredible!
