The Niagara Escarpment:


Because of our proximity to one of the World's Most Recognized International Biospheres many hiking trails and quiet retreats can be found a short distance away. The Halton Region Conservation Authority manages these lands and gives us an opportunity to visit the following very popular attractions in the immediate vicinity of Toronto West KOA:
Lake Kelso: For swimmers and canoeists - and a good place for fishermen to relax.

Hilton Falls: A natural treat with 16 kilometers of hiking trails and a scenic waterfall.

Crawford Lake: Explore a 15th Century Iroquoi Indian Village and a very special lake in a wilderness setting completely encircled by a boardwalk for visitors to enjoy.

Mountsberg Wildlife Centre: Includes a 500 acre lake, a well-known Raptor Centre housing many impressive exhibits, resident birds-of-prey and a bird hospital.

Rattlesnake Point: A Rock Climber's Heaven which includes a Buffalo Herd - but no rattlesnakes.

Mount Nemo: Another of our Local Internationally Renowned Rock Climbing Centres - including caves and 1000 year old cedar trees.

The Bruce Trail: This World Famous Hiking Trail follows the Niagara Escarpment from Niagara Falls and winds past the campground and through some of the above attractions on its way to the tip of the Bruce Peninsula on Lake Huron.

Golf Courses


Our area is blessed with several dozen fine golf courses ranging from courses to challenge the ubiquitous duffer to world class courses that cater to the pros. Several public courses are only minutes away.

Mohawk Raceway and Slots Casino

This World Class Harness Racing Track and Casino, operated by the Ontario Jockey Club, is located adjacent to Toronto West KOA and offers world-class harness racing with over 750 slot machines and dining facilities operating year round. Parking and admission are free. It's an easy walk from the campground.

The Ontario Renaissance Festival

Just a few minutes away and open each weekend during the summer you will find a charming and fun-filled Village Right out of Jolly Olde England. It is populated by King Henry and his Court and the picturesque and amusing townsfolk. Go back to "the days of yore" and participate in the village antics and entertainment, while partaking of the unique and varied wares and medieval fast foods.

Our quaint and picturesque hometown on the outskirts of the bustling Greater Toronto Area boasts country restaurants, antique shops, book stores, gift shops a modern shopping court and friendship. The World's Tallest Free-Standing Structure offers Games and Rides on the lower levels, and a breath-taking, Glass Floored Observation Deck up near the clouds. Rated one of the Top Ten Zoos in the World, Metro Toronto Zoo presents animals from every continent in their natural settings within a site of over 700 acres. Bring your camera and your walking shoes. Restaurants and amenities are available.

Paramount Canada's Wonderland:

Ontario's major Theme Park is located only 35 minutes away on Highway 400. Our discounts for Canada's Wonderland range from $6.00 to $10.00 per person, depending on the time of year. Ontario Science Centre:

Have the time of your life at Canada's Largest Water Theme Park. Bring your bathing suits and come to play! Wild Water Kingdom offers a 1/2 Acre Wave Pool, tube rides, speed slides, kid's water playground and much, much more.

Ontario Place:

The Famous Falls are just an easy 75 minute drive by expressway from Toronto West KOA. On your stay with us plan to spend one day viewing the splendor of Niagara Falls and visiting the various attractions and the Casino. On your way to the Falls you will drive through Ontario's wine country which offers many opportunities for enjoyable vineyard tours and visits.

Transportation and Tours

OUR TORONTO TOURS are expertly guided, daily, from the campground in our air-conditioned tour van. You will get an up close and personal experience of Toronto including:
Casa Loma, Kensington Market, Chinatown, CN Tower, Skydome, Harbourfront, St. James Cathedral, Yonge Street, Queens Park, the fashion, business and theatre districts and much more!

Toronto tours are about four hours in length. Please ask us for tour prices and schedules.

Niagara Falls Tours
From the campground in our air conditioned van you will connect with our Niagara falls tour operator at a convenient hotel pick-up point. Please call for prices, schedules and an early booking discount. You will experience a full day tour including a buffet lunch and the following attractions: Niagara Wine Country The Welland Canal Historic Niagara on the Lake, Power Stations Queenston Heights The Whirlpool Rapids The Floral Clock The Spanish Aerocar The Maid of the Mist, and, of course the Magnificent Falls themselves! On your return our van will bring you back to your site.

Public Transit to Downtown:
Our daily shuttle will take you to our local commuter transit coach that takes you to downtown Toronto. This service runs once daily, leaving mid-morning and returning early evening. Our shuttle charge includes the transit coach fare.

Automobile Rentals:
Local rental agencies have been chosen to pick you up at your campsite and bring you to the rental car of your choice; then bring you home to your site when you return the car. It is advisable to let us know of your car rental needs prior to arrival if possible.

Our campground is conveniently located only 45 minutes to down town Toronto, and all attractions are within an easy driving distance. We can provide all the written directions, information, and maps that you will need to get there (and back to us) on your own!

On the Campground


Our two games rooms offer video games and a pool table for rainy days as well as nightly free movies.

We also rent trikes (banana type) for those who don't want to drive so far.

Kids of all ages will enjoy our two well-equipped playgrounds with a variety of attractions including a large trampoline.

Sporting types can enjoy a game of horse shoes, shoot a few hoops or play ball on one of our playing fields or swim a few laps in our large, sparkling pool.

Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed December 25). Wednesdays they are open until 8 p.m.; Fridays open until 9 p.m. The months of July and August, open daily, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Toronto Zoo

This new 30 acre exhibit features a bustling market bazaar and "Kesho Park" complete with a panoramic view of rivers, waterholes, kopje rocks, an elephant highway, rhino midden and animals grazing in habitats specially created to resemble their natural home. Open year round (except for December 25).
