Meet Your Hosts
"We want people to leave with a good impression and great memories."
Thirty years ago when Dan and Alexandra Petr arrived from the Czech Republic to Canada, they didn't expect to become KOA campground owners. Both worked in the computer business-Dan as a consultant and Alexandra as a system administrator.
"We were in the computer business for a long time and wanted to get out of the big city to a country setting," Dan said. The lifetime campers wanted to do something different and decided a campground business was "a natural way for us to go," Dan said.
The location of the campground and its strong business potential attracted the Petrs. "We decided to go for it," Dan said.
They are proud of the family oriented campground they run with the good services and recreational activities available. "We give the people the best service they deserve," Dan said. "We want people to leave with a good impression and great memories."
The couple still likes to get out and camp in their RV. Dan said their great team of staff is what allows them to travel and to make their campground solid.
"We wouldn't be able to do it by ourselves."
