Kathy was very friendly and actually let us check in a little early which was nice so we could drop our camper off and continue with our vacation and head into Yellowstone park.

The KOA has great people great facilities. The 10 sites are too close to the road. All you hear is road noise. You cannot sleep. It is impossible. I will not go there again with a tent. An RV yes.

Our experience was fantastic. We ran into some problems with our trailer and truck and both times the staff, in particular Kathy, were incredibly helpful and kind.

Site was not level and had loose gravel on one side. Trailer slipped off the “pad” (gravel) when pulling in. Was traveling with another party and they were not placed next door as in prior stay. Group also waited a very Long time for propane fill. We were at this campground 3 years ago and all was perfect so we rebooked again without question. Will consider other options for next trip.

Sites way too close together. Roads too narrow. Tree limbs and n the way and huge boulders on every corner makes it hard to navigate with a bigger rig. Fire pits way too close to one another and campers burning fires constantly. Pot holes everywhere as well. Staff friendly

Very quiet. BUT...when it rains/pours a lot, as it did while we were there, a lot of the sites, including ours, got very flooded. Needs more rock in sites or better drainage. Might be nice if they had an out going mail drop and a dog wash station.

Our stay was fantastic, unfortunately Mother Nature decided it would rain for 4 out of the 5 days! But we had a marvelous time in town and our tour of Yellowstone. We highly recommend Daniel from Great American Tours! He was so knowledgeable and took us on some stagecoach drives that many of the people miss! We will be back.

We just returned from a family reunion we hosted at the Yellowstone West Gate KOA. We had 158 people attend from a Sunday - Friday. The staff at the KOA was wonderful. We met with Fred two years ago to start the process. Fred was always available when we needed questions answered. The campground is beautiful, with so many things for family to do. Perfect location. 10+++

The bathrooms are not great, showers have little to no pressure and are pretty dirty. The pool showers were unusable- so much mold and dirt it was too gross to even attempt. The sites flooded in the rain- like FLOODED. Our rv spot- 528- was muddy and puddled after 2 days of rain.

Nice spaces. Had everything we needed. Loved the coffee and icecream stand. It's nice to get coffee before we head out for the day at 7 am.

We were right by the basketball court and dog area, as an older couple with no kids it was not the greatest spot. An adult only section away from the family section would be nice. The park and amenities were nice, store prices a bit high but you pay for the convenience. Would stay there again but on the other side of the park.

Really nice campground with lots of amenities, BUT THERE’S NO DIVIDERS ON THE URINALS! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN 2026! Other than that, the ice cream was reasonably priced and the campsites were orderly.

Very large park with not very many restroom facilities for the number of people. Spots next to the road are very loud. We had two fans and an infant noise machine and you could still hear the traffic. Spent all day at Yellowstone suffering in the rain to come back to an under maintenence sign on pool. Playground was wet from rain. Nothing to do. Very expensive KOA for no amenities to use.

This is a large KOA. The spots are close together but it was not noisy. It is very convenient to the National parks and a great place to stay.

We enjoined being there. Everything went well. The facilities, grounds were clean. The personnel were friendly and very helpful. Especially SammI. I left a water regulator behind. I called the desk the next day from another campground she found it, packaged it up for me and sent it to my home. That’s exceptional! The location is great if you’re planning a trip to the park. The sites narrow.

Very nice campground with friendly helpful staff. As with almost every KOA we've stayed at, the wifi is TERRIBLE. The bathroom/showers did not seem particularly clean.

The grounds were nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We wish the cabins had mattresses on the beds that would be comfortable enough to get a decent nights' sleep.

We recently stayed at the KOA West Yellowstone, and overall we had a pleasant experience. The staff was one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The campground also has a convenient general store, which was nice to have on-site if you forgot something. That said, the prices were extremely high—many items were two to three times more expensive than what you'd find at nearby stores, which felt a bit excessive. Another great feature was the laundry facility. The washers and dryers were modern, worked exceptionally well, and made doing laundry quick and easy during our trip. The biggest area for improvement is the bathhouses. I understand this is a campground, and people naturally track in mud and dirt. However, the bathrooms and showers were often dirty, with garbage and toilet paper left behind. The showers could also use a deeper cleaning, as there was visible mold that could likely be addressed with more frequent maintenance and a good mold cleaner. Despite those issues, we still enjoyed our stay. The friendly staff, convenient amenities, and overall campground made for a good experience. With a little more attention to the cleanliness of the bathhouses, this KOA would be an even better place to stay.

Staying here was such a great experience. So many kids for my little one to be around. Kathy's service was 100% she made every thing so much better. Have local advice on Yellowstone and the good stops, accommodation with my last minute plans and all with a smile!
