As always the staff at this park were very friendly and if needed, helpful. Two issues prevented a better rating, the first being working WiFi, the second being alerts about the closure of HWY 20 west of Winthrop. The highway closure was not a surprise, but the lack of an alert on the reservation site was. As seniors we use WiFi for email and contact. It was non-existent for the last 24 hours.

The staff was very friendly and happy to offer ideas for things to do in the area. Sites had trees and it was great to see and hear the river.

Website advertised river access, which was the primary reason we booked 4 nights at this location. Despite the campground being nearly completely empty, the staff approached me twice in a golf cart to say I couldn’t stand on an empty river bank to fish. Nobody else around anywhere and was very odd. Staff directed me to public fishing access down the road off-site. Never again.

We have camped at this campground for 15 years unfortunately I think this will be the last. Over the years there has been inconsistent management and some years are great, some are ok and this year was less great. The grounds are unkempt, in our site a tree beetle infestation, the bathrooms consistently filthy and overall overpriced . Sad that we can’t have the quality consistentancy of the past

I feel like the rules should be made more clear which RV sites can or can not have tents even the staff seemed confused and conflicted about this rule. Also we were kicked off an empty site where we had a temporary badminton set up. It seemed so.e staff had authority complexes.

Wifi was not working at all. Others mentioned the same issue. Some staff were borderline rude. I'd only stay here again if I had to if every other campground in the area is booked.

A very quiet time at the KOA. The bathrooms/showers were nice and clean and warm!! Loved being close to town. We will be back.

Beautiful place. We stayed 4 nights. Had dear right outside our spot almost every morning or evening we were there. Pads were clean, level and fairly easy to get in, so set up was easy and we have a 40ft 5th wheel. Just make sure you watch were your sewer hook up is. Hook up for #11 is almost in #10 area. We didn't want to be rude so we didn't hook up.

We love the area and usually visit the town and Sun Mt Resort. The KOA desk and camp hosts are great and make the stay even better.

We arrived at 5:30pm, office closed. Found our site paperwork and site. Paid for a pull thru. Site had tree branches over end of site to low to pull thru. They provide 1 elect. Pedestal 50/30/20 for 2 sites. Luckily we were 1st and used 30amp. Not so lucky for the nextdoor site who needed 30 amp also. Ended with getting a phone call 5 min after check out time. Stating we were late!

Overall great stay for about 2 weeks. Campground was quiet and well maintained. Camp staff were nice, available when needed but maintained privacy as well. Shower near my site closed for the season while I was here which is really my only complaint - the one in the main building was moldier and not as easy to use due to very small stalls. Site is close to town, walkable for able bodied folks.

Electrical tower issue at campsite but with help from employee we were able to tap into next site. Excellent employee service at check in and troubleshooting. Nice place to bring a family. Very dusty with wind blowing. Close to downtown and services.

So quiet, nice spot, friendly staff. Only wish would be for the kids train ride to be multiple times per day because it only ran at 3pm and we missed it due to car show and kids were super bummed.

Location was great, great staff, however our site didn’t have grass it was mainly dirt, they were working on other areas to get the grass green, but ours was not.

Love the location, close to town and on the river! Lots of amenities. Friendly staff. The only downfall was the tiny, hidden laundry room. But overall, we enjoyed staying at the Winthrop KOA!

The staff were so friendly. We didn’t need help, but I’m sure they would have been willing! This KOA is typical of all KOA’s I’ve ever stayed at. These spaces were a little wider than some, but no grass or gravel so it was very dusty. We like full hookups and we had that. There were some tent spots that looked very nice by the river. We did enjoy the wi-fi.

We really appreciated the clean showers and restrooms! The location is nice and trees on the property providing shade was nice. The only drawback was we felt it just a bit on the expensive side for a site that provided electricity and water but no sewer hookup.

Charged a late check out when we actually left early, also the Hot tub was cold,even let over night and the inside of the BBQ was so nasty. As for the park it's self it was nice.

Spaces a little close together and since there is no digital TV in the area, cable would be nice. Nice park overall, close to the river, pool and showers.

The staff we very kind and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. This location is very family friendly and our kids loved it. We will definitely be back. I had seen previous comment about the campground not watering and the gravel roads not working for riding bikes. I can tell you our kids rode bikes on the roads just fine, and the sites were being watered in between check out

My friends and I stayed for an overnight before a trail run nearby and had a great visit. Our cabin was clean, warm, and quiet. The bathrooms were a delight, clean, heated, and comfortable.
