The bathrooms were filthy, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks, on the weekend there was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms. The cabin was dirty, full of cobwebs and stains.I have been staying here for 32 years, this was my last. Shameful whats happened since the original owners sold a few years ago. Maybe worry about the important things instead of nickel & diming your customers!

Everything was great as usual, except the north bathroom was out of toilet paper in 3/4 rooms from overnight Saturday pas when we checked out on Sunday morning

I brought my Golden Retriever and granddaughter to the campground for a lil getaway. Everything was great the first 2 nights. It was over 100 degrees all three days so the air conditioned cabin was extremely helpful. On August 16th there was an issue with the water. We had no access to water due to a pump problem and had to vacate. I prepaid and lost $200 for night stay. We got a hotel rm for nigh

Late check-in was easy. I was there to drop off my husband and friends at Hart's Pass, and the trail was closed. I emailed the office after hours and was able to settle up in the morning with the front desk staff with no problem. I would only suggest lighting the KOA sign at night out on the highway and that the solar lights would come on by the cabins. Other than that excellent clean, and safe!

Stayed in the wagons and overall they were good. Air conditioning went out on day 2 but maintenance got it working again. Amenities were great and everyone super nice. A couple of concerns. Wasps/yellowjackets got in the wagon regularly and there was a nest outside under some of the canvas. Inside the wagon the bunk ladders come down between the steps making it easy to fall for the kids.

This KOA isn't as nice/fun as it used to be. I'm not sure if it's because of COVID or just new owners. We miss the bike rentals they used to have. The big bouncy pad has a giant hole in it, my kids said it hurt to jump because they would hit the ground. Also the pool seemed dirty and the bathrooms weren't very clean. The store closes way earlier than it used to.

Overall a nice place.We appreciated the pool but It would have been nice to have a few shade umbrellas.We appreciated the outside gathering facility. That was very nice place to gather for meals. We stayed in the deluxe cabin and appreciated the private fenced area. The cabin was a bit high priced for the quality. The sink had no strainer, the couch was severely stained.

This KOA has definitely gone down hill over the years. Not as family friendly with the new ownership. The previous owners Mike & Lori were great! The prices have increased significantly. The Store/clubhouse is closed early. They no longer have the iconic three wheeled bicycles you used to be able to rent.

We loved sleeping in the very upscale Conestoga wagon. It was great to have a/c for the hot times! The kids loved the pool and jumping thingy!

The location next to the river was beautiful. The K9 Kampground & the pool were great amenities. The bathhouse was extremely nice. Josh took excellent care of the facility while we were there. He was friendly & helpful & always busy working.

Great location. Nice staff. Absolutely, positively needs more restrooms & a few more showers. Having showers & toilets in the same “stall” was/is a horrible idea! If a person needs to only use the toilet, they may have to wait quite awhile if the “stalls” are being used by people taking showers.

The campground is ok, but short staff and you can definitely feel that. The activities they had before not there anymore, the pool was dirty every day of our stay.

We love the cabin, nice washrooms. Only one recommendation. There was no recycling set up. Very disappointed about that. Does all the recycling go to the land fill?

The campground and staff were lovely. Other than “ Josh” who couldn’t be bothered to get a second coffee mug for our RV. He stated that it only came with one and it wasn’t his responsibility to keep the RV equipped. He pointed to the shelf and stated that I could buy one. We had an amazing time. The town of Winthrop was fun to explore having the river right outside of our cabin was convenient and made a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful and did a fabulous job keeping the campground clean and well maintained. We were sad to hear the campground has been sold. We would have loved to come here again in the future. But over all it was a great experience

This is our first time staying at a KOA. Our family had a wonderful time. We stayed in the covered wagon with AC. This KOA is well managed. Staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Bathrooms and showers are very clean! Also a great location for stargazing!

Poor experience in a campground that has so much potential. The grounds are poorly kept and the staff seems very aloof. One of the staff members makes a routine of smoking marijuana on his breaks, and seems completely out of it at the store (which isn’t open when it says it is). Wouldn’t come back.

Lovely campground, sitting right on the river. Everybody was friendly, clean facility, friendly people, basic camp store, thrift way and hardware store within walking distance. Along with a cinema. The only problem is the bathrooms. Only six bathrooms and/or showers. And on a busy weekend. You can expect to be waiting a lot to go potty, otherwise your going to need to find a bucket to use.

We have been visiting for 15 years. The price keeps going up, quality down. This year, the pool so cloudy with chemicals. The office hours were limited, with no one there after 5pm and emails sent with questions went unanswered. The bouncy pillow had a huge hole that children would fall into. No shuttle to town or for tubing dropoff. No mining rocks. Bathrooms often without paper products. So sad.

Laundry room change machine was non functional and store closes at 5 pm. Had to go into town to get change for the machines. One of the washing machines was out of order but it wasn’t indicated as such. Figured it out after putting our money in. We did get our money back when the store was open the next day. Pool closes at 8, store closes at 5.

We enjoyed the covered wagon experience. It was clean and the bathrooms were clean as well. We were disappointed with the pool closure for part of a day, the mining supplies being unavailable, and the hole in the bounce pad. We enjoyed the grill in the covered area and the sinks for washing dishes. We found many friendly people staying there.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the cabin porch and bench seats by the river. I checked in Wednesday evening and found the restrooms clean and well stocked. For some reason that was not the case Thursday morning. One of the restrooms (down by the river) was completely out of all paper and the trash can was completely full. Gratefully this was corrected by Thursday afternoon.

All the employees were very kind and helpful, we liked everyone!! We did experience a few things that were not up to our expectations and standards- kids play equipment was broken, our grill caught fire due to being dirty and for the first time in our lives, we had to use a fire extinguisher- flames were shooting 7 feet in the air- it was very scary.
