This would be at least a 4 star review if the park wasn’t completely infested with wasps and hornets. I couldn’t enjoy any part of the park because everywhere I went there were hornets bussing around my children’s faces and my own. The River, the playground, trying to get in and out of my car or rv, just walking around. You need a pest control company, spray the structures, more traps.

DISAPPOINTED! My wife surprised me with a night at one of the very booked hot tub spots for my birthday. The grounds were less than desirable and there was a full fly bag on the outside of the fence which we could smell very strongly (we thought it may be a decomposing wild animal nearby), not so great while trying to enjoy the hot tub. The person at the front desk wasn’t great when letting know

This is third time staying here, love this KOA and love the Winthrop area. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I booked online and took what was available. I called when it was opened, asked if we could arrange to be closer, at that time was told that there would be an extra cost, explained that would be fine, was told to call back closer to the time.called again was told to do at checkin. Tried to at check in was told it was sold out. It wasn’t, the 2 closes to the others stayed empty the whole time

This is a great little park and it’s in the perfect location to enjoy the Cascades National Park and the Winthrop Valley. The manager was professional and went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. We enjoyed the local towns and floating the Methow River right from the campground. We would definitely recommend this park to others and we will return for another stay.

Did not like set up of our site with adjacent site. Both sites opened up to each other which may be fine if you had friends next door but we had a large group in our face. Not all sites are configured like this and if we return then would choose a traditional set up site.

Pretty disappointed with my spot. I had a grass spot - but it was essentially all dirt. Walking in & out of our RV felt like we were in a dirt cloud. We couldn’t even set out our chairs and table to sit outside. Kept all our windows closed. I mentioned that I was disappointed with our spot but they didn’t seem to care.

The hookups are located in the wrong part of the sites. This causes rigs having to be close together to get hooked up to a common utility. The first site was so uneven I had to relocate to a different site, the Host was most helpful in doing that for me and the next site was somewhat better but still needed to be filled and graded level. Other than that, showers and rest rooms were clean,

This was our favorite campground on our trip! We loved the river access, and river float option, but we only stayed 1 night so did not do it. The free train ride that went around the campground ROCKED! (note not a real train, but a bunch of car carts being pulled by a small truck). Buildings were all located close together, and staff was marvelous. One downside no quarter machine for laundry.

We've camped here during the Rhythm and Blues Festival for the past several years. It seems that maintenance and amenities are declining. Lawns are mostly dead. Trees are dying. No water trucks drove around to keep the dust down. Camp store has very few items. Fortunately the staff is very friendly and helpful and we plan to return next year.

Sites were a little tight. Sewer was uphill, and they were all with 10’ of the fire pits. Lots of dirt and dust. Dog run was small and left a lot to be desired compared to other KOA’s. Bathrooms were small and very run down. Need a larger more centrally located and newer shower facility. The office store lacked any beverages- looked as though all the coolers were broken and forgotten. Overall-

Noisy. No staff presence after office hours. Bathrooms cleaned during peak usage times - ie 7-8 am. Bathrooms combined toilets and showers leaving people who only needed a toilet to wait while people showered. Also coed which wasn’t comfortable.

Fortunately, an off-duty employee found my late check-in, which was not where all the others were. The grounds were fine. Dump station was horrible could not take flow from holding tanks backed out all over the concrete I’m not a happy camper at all together.

The KOA was clean and tidy. The premium RV spots are nice that they're fenced in but site number nine (9) should be re-vamped for the 2025 season. The hot tub cover was heavily worn down and in need of replacement, the hot tub itself is missing the button cover to see what the functions are. There is also a tree/bush in the fenced area that should either be trimmed heavily or taken out entirely.

We enjoyed the park and loved the proximity to the river! The pool is on the small side but kept us cool in the heat. Would want a store with more shade next time. The community outdoor kitchen is very nice. We didn’t like that the office/store closed at 5pm on a Friday. It would be nice if they stayed open later on the weekends but we had to drive a bit up to the grocery store.

Wi-Fi is non existent at far ends of the camp. Dust control is a joke. Pool was cloudy and in need of treatments.

We were there about 3 years ago and the park seemed to have more grass back then. This time it seemed like the grass has gone away and the sites are more rocky. Not as enjoyable as last time.

We had a great time. It was really hot, but we expected it. The campground was clean. The sites were big. The staff was amazing. Our only issue was dealing with the yellow jackets and that's nature's fault.

This was once a great place. But it’s changing: gone is the kids trampoline, central dumpster location. Store closes at 5pm!!! No dust control watering for 3 days now, appears only done on Friday & Saturday. Plenty of employees driving around so it can’t be lack of help…

Not much in the store,refrigerator/freezers were shut Orr and emtpy. Lost power at one point,we were talking about just leaving as it was 97 degrees.

We had to pull the trailer all the way through to hook up to utilities (blocking the road with the truck), then unhook the truck to park behind. When time to leave, spaces across the road had us blocked so we couldn’t hook back up. STUPID plan for every other space to enter from opposite directions because we faced our neighbors, which would be okay if there was space between but way too close!

We didn't like the fact that people kept walking thru our camp site. They almost tripped over our star link and cord several time. No respect for other peoples space and camp area.

Would not stay there again. Check in was good. Liked the trees and close to the river. Not happy about pool, I have a pool at home and know how a pool should look with clarity. Not happy how cloudy the pool looked.

It was a dust bowl with very small sites. The pool had zero chlorine in it and very few restrooms. we have stayed at over 60 KOA’s across the country and this is by far the worst one we have stayed at.

Our KOA camping was okay, we like forest camping way better. People were friendly and the camp was clean, we really liked the river. It was great watching the river rafters.

We enjoyed our stay and that the RV site we were in was spacious. I was surprised the job didn't have much going on except for 1 train ride in the 4th we were there 3 nights with no other activities. The pool closed for maintenance was also a bummer and the blob water toy thing is no longer available. This particular KOA doesn't seem as family friendly as most.

Pool was closed for most of out stay. When it was open it was kind of gross. I got complained to for parking my truck a little over into the site next to me even though it was empty for my whole stay. The store was bare. Overall it wasn’t a typical KOA that I’m used to. No movie nights or family entertainment either. I’d stay at a different campground if I ever go back to Winthrop.

Gorgeous park next to the river with grassy, shady spaces. Definitely one of our favorite camping experiences. The staff was very friendly and helpful, clean facilities, great location.

My friends and I stayed for an overnight before a trail run nearby and had a great visit. Our cabin was clean, warm, and quiet. The bathrooms were a delight, clean, heated, and comfortable.
