It was beautiful in Winthrop and the park was on a river with well maintained grounds. Everything was in great condition. The restrooms were nicely designed and clean.

It was very quiet:). The cabin mattresses are getting lumpy. They are not as comfortable anymore. The bathrooms were somewhat dirty. Other than that it was great. We have been coming here for years.

very clean cabin, very nice grounds team, grass was green, the HWY 20 was closed so not many campers, but that was somewhat nice for us, The two ladies in the camp store were very helpful and nice.

If wi-fi and cell service are important to you, this is not the place. Otherwise, the location is excellent for Winthrop and the National Park. Camper etiquette was terrible. Campers walking through other campsites as shortcuts. Our neighbor who had set up as a buddy site with friends even used our sewer without asking to dump his tanks. In my opinion, not up to typical KOA standards.

The pool was closed during our stay which was very disappointing; seems like maintenance could wait until after Labor Day. We enjoyed the large shade trees. The large amount of bees � made eating and drinking outside very difficult.

Would have loved to see more activities available for kids especially with the pool being closed. One example would have been to have the bikes be free. Honestly, charging $10 per hour is a little crazy for old bikes anyway. We definitely prefer the KOA in Leavenworth!

Have been staying here yearly for years always has been our favorite summer place to stay. This visit was very disappointing as the pool was closed. I understand they updated their website but I booked months in advance and had no reason to check a website. Super disappointed to have children looking forward to a pool to be told no pool. Sure would have been nice to have a text or email letting us

We haven't visited Winthrop KOA for a number of years, but we were excited to bring family and friends to this lovely town. When we arrived, we upgraded to full service sites and paid quite a bit for these 3 sites. The grounds were dusty and dry, the picnic tables require maintenance, the pool was closed for the entire duration and the wasps made our visit intolerable. We won't return.

We have been coming to the Winthrop KOA every few years for over 15 yes now; it’s a great place for the family to relax and enjoy all the area has to offer!

We look forward to this camping at this KOA every year. We haven’t been in the last two years and it seems in that time things have really gone downhill. The camp store has hardly anything in it, they took the jump pad at the playground away, the campsites have turned to dirt and the pool was closed. Wish we were told before our stay that the pool would be closed. We will stay elsewhere next tim

It’s really gone down hill, the pool was closed, the grass was brown more by the trailers, no gold panning, the store doesn’t have much inside compared to the past. Everyone camping was complaining. You pay extra to camp at a KOA so it was very disappointing to come here. Definitely not coming back

we had T3 tent site that had a wasp nest. could drive on the site, we had to walk in, an d virtually no flat spot on it. I didn't see the value of $ 70, more $ 30. The shower toilet combination is unique, and We didn't understand why the lady gave us a walk in site, when the camping was only half full

Very dusty. Lawns dead. Tons of bees but, no management of them. We bought our own. Pool was inoperable. It was hot out and to not have the pool was not good. Only select lawn was watered. Employees were very nice.

We stayed at this park due to its close proximity to North Cascades National Park. However, when we arrived we found that the roads were closed to the park due to fires. We had originally planned to stay for two days but the road closures would have required us to drive 4.5 hours one way to get to the other entrance to the park. The manager was kind enough to allow an early checkout due to this.

The campground was overall nice. The river was lovely and having hot clean showers and laundry was a treat. My only issues were that the pool was closed. We were not informed about this before coming, though reception claimed they sent an email. I checked all my folders and did not find anything regarding this, had I, I would have cancelled our stay as this was the highlight reason for booking.

The weather was very hot and the pool wasn't open. Was given many reasons why it was closed but it looked fine. The roads during stays in previous years were wet down to keep the dust down but not this year. The store had minimal hours and wasn't stocked with much. Have been coming to the winthrop koa for approx 25 years but may find a new location to visit next year

The number of camp spots has grown in the last few years but the facilities have seemed to stay the same. When we arrived we found dog poop and cigarette butts at the site. The small pool was closed for algae bloom which was very disappointing. The staff were friendly and helped us find a shaded site with grass to finish our stay at. A few disappointments: pool was closed (AGAIN) with no warning which honestly may have changed my plans had I known. Not enough free family activities/things to do on site. With the pool closed we had to drive to lake almost everyday. I have a special needs son who couldn't manage the river access, I was hoping to not leave KOA at all. Laundry was a pain too. The bathrooms were clean cabin too.

It was our first time staying here. The staff was great! We were in a cabin and it was perfect! It was beautiful and so clean and tidy! It had a fenced yard surrounding it which was great for our dog. The river is right next to the KOA which was perfect for a dip to cool off. The town was very cute western style. The north cascades were not very far either. Overall a great stay! A must!

Pool was shut down for a maintenance issue and the staff seemed very unforthcoming on the status and fix. It was 100 while we were there so the pool was essential. The camp is extremely buggy and they should be doing something to treat or prevent it.

The campground is great, the staff was FANTASTIC for as much as they could do. The pool being closed was a huge disappointment that’s one of the main reasons we stay here and pay more than a typical campground also the bees around camp were insane all 10 of our group got stung at least once.

Pool was closed due to algae, treat it with chemicals, very hot and nothing for the children to do, gave kids rides in a barrel wagon pulled by a dirty truck.

This would be at least a 4 star review if the park wasn’t completely infested with wasps and hornets. I couldn’t enjoy any part of the park because everywhere I went there were hornets bussing around my children’s faces and my own. The River, the playground, trying to get in and out of my car or rv, just walking around. You need a pest control company, spray the structures, more traps.

DISAPPOINTED! My wife surprised me with a night at one of the very booked hot tub spots for my birthday. The grounds were less than desirable and there was a full fly bag on the outside of the fence which we could smell very strongly (we thought it may be a decomposing wild animal nearby), not so great while trying to enjoy the hot tub. The person at the front desk wasn’t great when letting know

Nice staff. Grounds have dry grass, pool is in pool shape and store carries very little product. Staff are friendly and happy.

I booked online and took what was available. I called when it was opened, asked if we could arrange to be closer, at that time was told that there would be an extra cost, explained that would be fine, was told to call back closer to the time.called again was told to do at checkin. Tried to at check in was told it was sold out. It wasn’t, the 2 closes to the others stayed empty the whole time

We love staying here every summer. The river location is amazing. The campground is well kept. Our only suggestion is the two stall bathroom could use some maintenance as it t is getting a bit run down.

My friends and I stayed for an overnight before a trail run nearby and had a great visit. Our cabin was clean, warm, and quiet. The bathrooms were a delight, clean, heated, and comfortable.
