We were pleasantly surprised by the waldport koa! Clean sites, multiple bathrooms, access to the beach, Quiet, partial view of the water, friendly staff, $5 breakfast sandwiches (!).

Clean, quiet, close to the beach and wonderful. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Great restaurant recommendations! Love the feral kitties and the way they have been cared for. Highly recommend!

Loved the suggestion to have our friends back into each other. This allowed a picnic table to be our central dining place. Very clean & central to all the things we wanted to sightsee.

Nice place to stay. Only rub was we paid extra for view of bridge and our site ( unless you count the very top over the trees of a bridge steeple) didn’t. Several though had some lovely views. The help was friendly and place is clean.

Campsites were cramped, not easily accessible, and an upgrade was way too expensive.

We only have one type of tent site. They are very easily accessible. Can park at the site, water and electric available. Roomy sites.

Awesome KOA overlooking the Alsea Bay. Originally were here for three nights but added 6 more nights. The park is very well kept up and clean. The bathrooms are a bit outdated but are constantly cleaned throughout the day. The laundry room is small but reasonably priced and does a great job. All of the staff is super friendly and had helpful tips for places to go to get to the beach. Love this

Park was very clean and KOA staff were often visible checking on things and patrolling the park. Our site had a beautiful view of the bridge and bay. Trail down to the beach was a nice little side trip. Staff were friendly and quickly responded to help me turn the heat on in our little cabin.

Enjoyed the new experience of this campground. Wish they would have honored the free rewards night, we would have stayed longer. Office/store staff were friendly and helpful. Path to the beach was fun but could use some maintenance to clear obstacles and make it less steep. Location was great with nice walk across the bridge into town, and close to ocean beaches.

This is one of the best Journeys we have been to. Larger sites, hedges between sites and extremely well manicured.

Good location. Helpful staff. Barking dogs somewhat of a problem as it went on a long time even if people were there.

Sites need to be leveled and gravelly. A lot of grass clippings and dirt packed in after a sprinkle.

We love this park. Been here more times than we can count. Staff is amazing and park is a gem. We will continue to stay here often.

The view site was amazing as always. My stay was quiet and peaceful. The no visitors policy was the only negative. Friends brought dessert and couldn’t even come to sit at our table for the short time it would have taken to eat together unless they paid $10 each. That’s a steep price after we paid $400 plus for our 4 nights there. I understand registered guest and insurance, but jeesh…

Yes, that is correct. We do have a "No Visitor's" policy, you must be a registered camper to be on the property. The policy is on your reservation confirmation and on our "camper responsibilities" form we have everyone review and sign at check-in. Glad you enjoyed the view.

The staff (Donna) greeted us a friendly & welcoming big smile. Check in a breeze. Well maintained camp! Owners so nice!! Loved our Coastal Cottage K12. Plenty of room to store luggage. Great hot water & pressure. Bed was very comfortable. Camp quite & didn't hear traffic at night. Very peaceful & view on the porch amazing. Harbor seals seen daily!! Walk across bridge was super. Highly recommen

This is the second or third time stayin at Waldport/Newport KOA. It was wonderful as before. Enjoyed the ocean, Newport area, picking black berries near the camp ground and the quiet and low key atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.

Staff very pleasant and always willing to help. Drives in some places were a little tight but manageable. Our site had hedges on both sides but we still had plenty of room. Site was long enough for our rig but we did have to park parallel with the drive being able to get truck off the drive.

Nice place. Loved dog park, showers (albeit chilly). The space I was in was Nice, well appointed, however impossible to exit it by going forward....too sharp, cars in trailer blocking a wider turn. I had to back out to extricate rig.

Very courteous staff, eager to help us, trail could use access a little easier access update for handicapped/elderly patrons like myself IE: Trim branches at bottom of trail to avoid ducking, a couple of spots are trip hazards with branches in path, a smaller step close to bottom of trail so easier to climb up

They had several things they offered this weekend (4th of July, 2026) like a kids parade, free ice cream sundaes and s'mores and the little store is pretty reasonable for what I have come to expect. All the staff are friendly and have been very happy to help with any questions we have had. We will have to return soon to enjoy the views and this beautiful little town.

Stopped in for just one night on our road trip. Took the trail from the KOA to the beach and stumbled upon some amazing views and a great Italian restaurant just a 5 minute walk down the beach. Would stay again!
