Had to drive at night because i was having overheating issues with my truck, I pulled in at 530 am and asked if i could rent a spot for the day, I was leaving at 530pm that same day. I understand the rules but i was charged for 2 full days.

Stayed 2 nights while traveling west. Very nice campground, friendly staff, convenient to Route 66 attractions and they will deliver breakfast to your site! This was especially convenient on the last day while we were packing up! Definitely recommend.

Staff was very courteous. Our site was pleasant & clean. It was nice to be able to park on one of the new concrete pads. However the access roads could use some improvements.

We just stayed overnight as we were traveling through and did not do any sightseeing or activities. The swimming pool was refreshing after a hot day of driving. The sun was hot and there was no shade at our site but everything else was nice

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Check in and getting set up was a breeze. The pool was beautiful and very clean. I took advantage of the breakfast offered by the campground at a small cost. The pancakes were the best I've had in ages and the eggs and bacon were perfect. I will stay at the Tucumcari/Route 66 KOA anytime I'm in the area.

This park is good for an overnight or two day stay. The spaces are large and well maintained. The WIFI was intermittent and not strong enough to use for streaming. The dog park is small, good for small dogs but not big enough for medium to large dogs to play, although there is a long shaded area to walk them.

This campground is always a stop for us. We only stay overnight but, it is always clean and friendly staff.

A very quiet and calm place to stay. We enjoyed the evening rain and thunderstorms and it’s a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities.

A fine stay for one night. The price was too high for what I used (electricity only in a camper van does not use as much electricity as a Class A). Also, no military discount is disgraceful.

Very convenient to I40. Our truck broke down and we had to stay much longer than expected. The staff were so nice and helpful. We were stranded for a week before we were able to get a tow home in TN! They helped us find a local person to drive us to the grocery store so we could eat! Never got upset that we could not move our camper for a whole week! They would come by and check on us.

We stayed one night. The sites were very close to each other, less then about 10 feet on either side. The cost for us was 97.00 a night for a 5th wheel full hook ups 2 adults 2 children. It seems like a very high nightly rate for a camp site. If we had more time to look for a campground for the night I am sure we could have found a nice campground for a much more reasonable rate.

Our stay was only overnight. The cable TV at this KOA was outstanding, high definition, and great channel selection. Electricity in the park was excellent, good voltage and no sag in current. Staff were great and provided two cookies at check-in. The town is a must see of old Route 66 business, some restored and some abandoned.

Site was just fine. We had a good night. The campground has a lot of potential. It needs major updates for bathroom, honestly all of the facilities. But from reading previous reviews, it sounds like there are new owners, so hopefully they will modernize it. Staff was pleasant enough. Gave a 5 star just because of the facilities.

Very nice people in the office. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Campsite was easy to get in and out of. It was the most level site I have ever encountered at any campground! Thanks for a great stay.

Very nice bathrooms, though probably not enough of them, if park is full. Free breakfast was appreciated. Did not order dinner, but saw several campsites that took advantage of that perk. Walking trail was a nice add. Did not receive cookies at check in. Store was very nice and well stocked. T-shirt selection was great.

Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the facility. We spent one night there. Got in after 10pm and left the next morning. It was so nice that we showed up without a reservation and the envelopes were available to choose a site and pay then.

Just a wonderful overnight stay. New ownership showed through with our personal interaction with all employees. We really liked the breakfast order delivered to our 5th wheel the next morning! Great service and price.

Nice and relaxing accommodations but the wifi was extremely weak. could not open apps, could not open websites. Cable was def a plus. Clean sites and the staff was very nice. I wanted a Tucumcari KOA t-shirt but sadly there were none.the camp info was printed on multi sheets of regular copy paper which was less than desirable. i would def visit again but i would be wifi self efficient.

We arrived on Friday July 11, 2025 at approximately 5:30pm. The park was practically empty. I asked the girl at the desk if I could have a shady site. She went on to ask about our RV, how many adults and so on. She gave us our site and I asked if we were near the showers? She said yes you are 2 rows back from where we were. We got to our site and absolutely NO SHADE. Very disappointed. Still empty

We stay at the Tucumcari KOA yearly on our way to CA. It is always well maintained, clean and the staff are friendly & knowledgeable. The new larger, level sites are great. Would love to see sites with fenced in patios & trees/shade like some other KOAs we stay at (i.e. Hollbrook & Barstow). We don't mind paying extra for privacy and convenience as we travel with 2 large dogs.

After fleeing a wildfire at our original campsite in nearby Texas, we ended up getting last minute tent sites for our ‘cousin camp'. Because of the fierce wind, I deeply appreciated that the tent sites were sheltered. Bathrooms were clean. The vintage playground was a HUGE hit with all 9 kids - even the teenager :) The staff gave us free cookies when we arrived and when we left, showed me a fire-safe route to take to next my destination. After a very scary experience, I almost cried at their kindness. 10/10 recommend!
