We arrived and the front desk girl was very inviting very informative and polite we very easily found our way to our camp spot and set up unfortunately we encountered some bad weather and we had to leave. Thankfully when I spoke to John about the weather issue we encountered he was very nice and generous to refund us for our night stay I felt very cared for and appreciated thank you tucumcariKoa

We were there on a night with 80 mph winds and a dust storm. There was consistent communication about the conditions and that made us feel safe! The new staff is very kind and helpful

Can tell there are new owners, they have done a great job with upgrades and making our stay welcoming and comfortable. Will definitely consider coming back!

Other KOA’s that I have stayed at turn on the cabin’s porch light, making it easier to find after dark. They also turn on the heat or air conditioning which is very welcoming.

1. Close to interstate noise. 2. No secured bathroom access—would rate higher if bathrooms required keycard or code access. 3. Motion detector lights in bathroom. Both bathrooms had lights go out while in shower stalls. Would rate higher if light stayed on longer or a secondary dim light was on at all times after dark.

Campground itself great for overnight stop as close to highway and very clean / well kept. Downside, a little too close to the highway literally. Extremely loud with traffic noise. Better once the temp drops and heat kicks in to mask the noise. A noise machine a must to get sleep.

This was our second time back here. The people are are super nice! Nice big spots. Easy in and out. They are great at recommending places to eat in town! Yummy Hatch Chillis!!!

the good level pull through spots, clean restrooms, and cabletv. the bad little to no internet, and hight priced for overnight stop $ 71.00. we had just did 5600 mile trip staying in KOA's for 3 three week, Apache junction Az, Las Vegas Ut, Palm Desert Ca, Dodge City Ks and more The KOA at Tucumcari was the 2nd hight price I paid the complete trip

This was a great place for us. It wasn't our original destination. Considering our friend not able to travel on to Arizonia. They suggested us to go on for warmer weather. We started having trouble with our camper. We ended up in Tucumcari by chance. Everywhere was having cold weather, we only stayed 3-4 nights. The shower, laundry facility was very nice, clean and WARM! Staff took care of us!

Wish the wind didn’t blow while we were there. Nice campground, level, long sites. Small but clean dog park. The girl in the office was the sweetest, helpful staff. Laundry room was clean but one washer wasn’t working.

Great location on Rt 66, convenient to I-40, yet setback enough to be quiet. Facilities were well maintained, clean and working. Bathhouse was welcomely warm on a cold winter day

This was a convenient overnight stop. Staff was friendly. The park is an old KOA with new owners. The park appears worn out. It is the typical old KOA, worth $40 for one night but charges $72.

We only stayed one night while traveling as a quick overnight. Campground was nice. Very convenient to the highway and with that you get Alot of highway noise but the campground was nice. Bring earplugs.

Stayed here overnight in 45' motor home. Huge park. Very clean. Easy in and out. Did not have to unhook tow vehicle. Quick check-in by friendly staff. They do have some concrete pads at back of park. $80 per night did seem a little pricey.

After fleeing a wildfire at our original campsite in nearby Texas, we ended up getting last minute tent sites for our ‘cousin camp'. Because of the fierce wind, I deeply appreciated that the tent sites were sheltered. Bathrooms were clean. The vintage playground was a HUGE hit with all 9 kids - even the teenager :) The staff gave us free cookies when we arrived and when we left, showed me a fire-safe route to take to next my destination. After a very scary experience, I almost cried at their kindness. 10/10 recommend!
