Campground Reviews

I was assigned a site that was mostly mud and relocated myself to the next site which was only marginally better. But since I was only an overnight, I managed. During the night there were high winds and a tornado watch. I am not certain there was a storm shelter. I packed up and left at 430 am as there was a slight decrease in the winds. The owner apparently did not know the shape of the sites he

I am camping in a tear drop and because it was raining during my stay, it was difficult to stay out of the mud which appeared like a small pond behind my unit. More gravel??? The restroom/shower entry door has no locking device which provides added security. May not be an issue for some but for a single female traveler it is better security if showering.

Neighbors were very rude from the minute we arrived due to the fact that we had dogs. Dog park is useless it is not completely sealed and my dogs were able to get out. They say they have WiFi but it is completely useless because you can’t connect your tv to it. We had just come from a different KOA and completely loved it, I was going to stay a few days but left after just 1 night

Nice location, but it looks like the owners don't care. Many sites had grass 6-8 inches tall under the picnic tables, around the grills, etc. When I called to ask if someone could weed eat the next day, the girl said there was no one to do it for a couple of days. I emailed the owner and someone came, but it was odd. Do they not want people to come back? For over $70 per night, I expect better.

The bathrooms could use a light outside at night. Otherwise a good place to stay.

We got there late, it was easy to follow the map that the staff left us to find our site. Really nice concrete pad for our super C to sit on. Place could use a few more trees.

John was in the office and was very friendly. He and my husband’s family are from Tonawanda, near Buffalo, and are Bill’s fans! He had the KOA in Placerville, CA, and we lived there for a few months as traveling RN’s. This is a great spot to take a break, rest up safely for more travel! We highly recommend staying here on your journey! Patti & Steve Dagenais

Third time for us at this KOA Journey. Great location, easy access to I-40, cement patio sites are the better option we think. Staff were very kind and store was well stocked. Breakfast service was closed and we hope the surgery went well for the cook. Delicious chocolate chip cookie upon check-in. Very nice camping experience

We met John in n the office and he couldn’t be any nicer! He’s from a town near Buffalo, New Your, called Tonawanda, and has Buffalo Bills sign up!! My husband’s family is from there and we are Bills fans, too. He used to have the Placerville, CA, KOA and we stayed there for a few months back in 2001. We were both RN’s and travel a lot. This KOA had great laundry facilities. Great s

Lots of green spaces here. Long level sites. The laundry room was very clean and large. The view is amazing.

Disappointing Experience — Premium Pricing Without Premium Amenities arrived late after driving through severe thunderstorms and specifically chose a long concrete pull\-through site to avoid dragging our fifth wheel through muddy, rutted roads\. We knew the advertised rate was $89 per night and were willing to pay more for the convenience\. However, our final cost was approximately $101, which

Nice campground with easy access from I40. Lots of space numerous trees. Friendly staff.

The Tucmcari KOA is always tidy and well-maintained. The sites are level, and you can park your rig on gravel or concrete. We have been using this campground off and on for 10 years. The gravel sites are now 77, and the concrete pads are 90 something. Sirs, you are going to price yourselves right out of business.

This is a constant place for us to stop on our trek to TN from CA and back again for the last 4 years. It is a nice place for a journey KOA. We travel with our dogs so the one thing that I would hope is that they could incorporate another K9 area towards the back of the campground where we choose to stay on the concrete pads.

Nice park but didn't like being crammed in on dual sites for those traveling together. Like tenement living..reach out your window & touch yoyr neighbor. For one nite is OK but we were there three nights...couldn't open windows to see out.

Great level sites with friendly customer service.

I always stop here on my cross country trips. It’s a great overnighter; nice level and large sites.

The reason I don't stay at KOA more often is the cost! With the cost of disel fuel it is hard to justify when other campgrounds are charging around $50 per night! And 10% savings would not even cover the TAXES.

Nice campground. Lots of green grass, quiet area. Little interstate noise.
