Overpriced, lacks amenities, WiFi a pain to connect to, place is nothing but a gravel parking lot with a few trees and weeds. However the staff and store were great.

Staff was very friendly accomodating. Restrooms were very clean. Playground was great for the kids. The owner Debbie was a wonderful hostess For my husband and I we were very happy with our stay.

This place is neglected and while they charge KOA rates they don’t give a KOA experience. Staff was rude at check in. Our site had tall weeds, electric box was falling apart, water sprayed everywhere. My wife asked if they could weed whip and after blaming staffing issues the woman said “I’ll see if my boss’ husband wants to work today”. Aggressive signs in the bathroom felt unwelcoming.

The laundry washing machines must not be cleaned daily. They were dirty so did not wash my clothes. A pile of black hair in the ladies handicap shower to the back of the shower which looked gross. The container in the dog park for Poop was full to the brim and stunk. Cleanliness needs improvement!

The power didn’t work it was surging and my new Winnebago Travato wouldn’t let it run my system. The staff said it was my rig. I went to eagles nest in Polson Montana and it worked perfectly

Great staff, love the free library, store and laundromat. The only downside is that all the RV sites are overgrown with weeds which makes putting rugs down difficult. Great location, too!

This park offered all the necessities. A little far from Helena which was our destination but all areas were full. Our fault for not being able to adjust our schedule due to a baseball tournament in the area.

Very nice RV campground. Laundry facilities that even house a lending library. For us, it was just a one night stop-over and it was 95 degrees when we arrived....we are from Alaska so we began to melt...so we hid inside our camper but the campground was pleasant. We would stay again.

This campground is not an RV resort. It is a campground in a somewhat remote area that that is quiet and comfortable. The workers are friendly and make you feel welcome. This is written from on of the upscale campgrounds and frankly, I prefer Townsend CFL. I hope to have a longer stay next year.

Hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful. They have a nice little store that offers fresh made burritos and a fantastic salsa. The grounds are really clean, except the dog run which has a lot of poop in it. Too much to want to use the dog run at all. It is a short walk to the lake. I wish there was more privacy and more trees between the sites. The restrooms and showers are scrupulously maintained

This is a nice little campground just a short distance from Canyon Ferry Lake. There has been so many wonderful updates, including remodeled bath houses, remodeled store, a new playground, new fenced-in dog park, and a laundry area - so many improvements over the last few years. Bathhouses have their own codes to access for safety. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.

Zero trees. Clean, staff nice, but nothing but a safe stay. Better have other plans to do because there is nothing at KOA.

Great location, wasn’t packed, fairly quiet. Super friendly host. Only issue we had was the first night people were racing side by sides up and down the main road until 2am. Only happened once tho. Great Lake access. We had full hookups, great level spot and got lucky with no neighbors on either side. We booked again. :)

The hook-ups were fine but the grounds were very run down looking with no greenery other than some trees and weeds. A good raking would be a good start. Apparently the grounds are not watered so it seemed dry and dusty which you might expect in late summer but not in the Spring. Definitely one of your lesser kept camp grounds.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Campground was rundown and in disrepair ii.e. Weeds needed cutting( little or no grass). I did enjoy the concrete pad that we had but paid extra for it. Water faucet was cracked and sprayed water everywhere when turned on. Not up to KOA standards.

Least professional KOA ever seen. Employees sit out on the porch while on duty with off duty employees and smoke and joke so you have to walk through a smoke screen to get in the door. Employees are very unfriendly and bitter. Shower rooms are never really cleaned. Floors in men's showers room were never cleaned. Grounds are in very poor shape!

Sorry to say we can't recommend this place - other than a really nice restroom (which is why it's 2 stars instead of 1). Campsite was horrible, next to the restroom septic tank takeout, so lots of tripping hazards. Wifi didn't work, power blew out our GFI, long term encampment behind us (with loose dogs and broken down trucks), and signs warning against drugs, theft, trash, and defecation)

I really like the koa here in Townsend, Deb and her husband, are Great people and very friendly folks. The bathrooms and showers are always clean , And they have a few laundry machines, that work great . And also a nice store with a lot of walleye tackle and various R.V.stuff that's essential 👍

I was thinking of writing a bad review so you guys would stay away from this amazing small restaurant. There's often a wait line if you go after 8pm …but ohhh so worth the wait. The food and the dynamic duo…Anna and Miguel make it a super enjoyable dining experience. Pizza is outstanding …thin and crunchy and the burrata will melt in your mouth with the thinly sliced prosciutto. When I'm in Miami I go as often as I can…and NO…I dont tell anybody anymore. STAY AWAY…..more for me!

Beautiful camp, very clean facilities ( showers and toiletts) and well equipped. Lovely landscape, close ro the river. There is also a nice convenient shop and the hosts were very helpfull!!!
