Worse KOA we have ever stayed at . Dry weeds everywhere . My husband did say the bathrooms were clean . The lady at the front desk was not nice . We didn’t even want to walk around outside

We had sit E03 with no table on fire pit. The persons on E02 we parked so close to us we couldn't extend our awning. The E04 site had car traffic within 2-3 feet of our camper. And an overnighter in E04 was close enough to touch our the window. It was not a very pleasant 4 day stay. Staff was great...

Thank you for your comments. In the future I will close off some of those sites to provide more space between campers.

Check in was a breeze. The ladies at the front store were so friendly and helpful! Our little cabin was clean and it was so quiet and peaceful at night. My only complaint (and it's a very light complaint) was that there was no hot water in the little shower across from our cabin. Other than that, the stay was delightful!!

Unfortunately, the space user next to us was growing a garden between spaces, and watering of his “garden” used our area to do so and created our camping space to be muddy and wet, with puddles with mud, which got on our shoes, tracked into our RV, and limited us use of our space and because of the constant wet sand and dirt we were not able to lay out our camping rug.

We enjoyed our stay. The service is awesome and the restroom/showers are always clean. Access to the campsites are very easy to get in and out of with our trailer. We have booked another trip for later this summer it was so nice.

Great access to lake. Nice little store with reasonable prices. Friendly folks! Women’s bathroom was nice. Great big shower stalls, plenty of space for your things. Bathroom was clean, no oders. Campsites had a little shade. Easy pull thru. Quiet and peaceful at night. Lots of long time campers. Quick drive to Townsend if you want to explore. Great little town.

We have stayed at dozen’s of KOA’s in recent years and this is the worst one. The grounds are desert-like, the wifi is weak and spotty, there is no over-the-air TV, no cable TV, had to sign a legal waiver “in case you stub your toe or anything like that”, untrained staff - “I have no idea” to our questions, only had the 2023 KOA Directory. Restrooms/Showers clean and well maintained. Sites are average. Staff friendly. Location is close to Helena, 30 minutes.

Cabin was great. Fridge was a great surprise. The site was tired and run down. Wasn't somewhere to stay for more than 1 night.

The most subpar KoA we’ve stayed at. Silos down the road if you don’t need the hookups.

Sorry your experience was bad. I try to keep a stocked store for your needs, clean bathrooms and laundry room, water for dogs in the dog park.I am a Journey KOA so many amenities are not available.

We chose this KOA for a several month stay and it has been very nice. I appreciate the management being helpful and ready to serve your needs. Since this area is a popular summer recreation setting (fishing & camping), this KOA serves many roles for meeting the needs of people camping within the KOA park and other recreationists by providing food, ice, boat gas, dump stations, fresh water, etc.

We stay at the KOA in Townsend alot as we live close. For the most part its very nice stay. Since they got new owners it seems things are going down hill. The prices have gone up but the care for the KOA has gone down. The weeds, dog pooh, and trash around the campsites are a little much for what we pay. If I could make a suggestion, take more time to clean up the Campsites . Thank you!

I am surprised you have not seen the updated laundry room, bathrooms, cabins, and the relocation of the dog park from the cactus cage to the grassy knoll with shade structure! Prices havn't changed since 2020 & we are cheaper than Town Pump on many items!

We have been in and out of the KOA all summer. Each time we were treated with excellent service. One of the nicest hosts we have ever encountered. We will probably stay here often in the future.

Very quiet area near the lake. Friendly service and good food for purchase. The store has many helpful items and the sites were easy to get in and out of.

The grounds are a little rustic but the people are super friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant stay and if all goes well we will do it again next year.

Staff was friendly and helpful, Prices were good. The store was great, but the upkeep of the grounds, were less then desirable, lots of weeds, and grass not cut, plus there were a lot of "Full time" residents it looked like living there? versus just being an RV park for short stays.

Clean spots and bathrooms. The store is more of a convenience store for groceries, boating, and fishing supplies for campers who don't have what they need. Deborah is friendly and courteous towards all guests.

I greatly dislike campsites that are not clearly defined. We had to guess where the beginning and end of the site were. It was the same for all sites. It was a very noisy location. People with Polaris vehicles, and people with boats drove around constantly, both within the campground, and up and down the road outside, towards the lake. The KOA employees were very polite and helpful.

Bathrooms were extremely clean and the shower was beautiful. Nice campground that was well run and organized. Not a lot of trees or shade, but that’s to be expected. Lots of traffic on the road to Canyon Ferry, which died down around 9:30/10

After seeing no availability on the website, I called and Debbie was extremely helpful in arranging for us to have a site. I am really grateful. This is a nice park, particularly if you are a boater or a fisherman.

I really like the koa here in Townsend, Deb and her husband, are Great people and very friendly folks. The bathrooms and showers are always clean , And they have a few laundry machines, that work great . And also a nice store with a lot of walleye tackle and various R.V.stuff that's essential 👍

I was thinking of writing a bad review so you guys would stay away from this amazing small restaurant. There's often a wait line if you go after 8pm …but ohhh so worth the wait. The food and the dynamic duo…Anna and Miguel make it a super enjoyable dining experience. Pizza is outstanding …thin and crunchy and the burrata will melt in your mouth with the thinly sliced prosciutto. When I'm in Miami I go as often as I can…and NO…I dont tell anybody anymore. STAY AWAY…..more for me!

Beautiful camp, very clean facilities ( showers and toiletts) and well equipped. Lovely landscape, close ro the river. There is also a nice convenient shop and the hosts were very helpfull!!!
