A good basic but older KOA. Great for overnight stop or few days stay in Texarkana. Very polite man from the office called to let us know our site number that allowed to avoid stopping in the office.

Stayed 1 night. Happy we didn't have to unhook. Right off of Interstate 30. A little noisy. T.V. reception really bad. Good place otherwise.

Our stay was great - and as expected the KAO had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our 45ft 5th wheel. The pool was nice on a very hot day.

Staff was super helpful but the sore as a hole was terrible. The water hookups were underground so I couldn’t fit our water filter in there. Then when I tried to hook up to the water a toad jumped out of there. So no water for us. The bathrooms were sub par as well. The neighbor was loudly broadcasting/live streaming himself and was saying some very disturbing things. Would NOT stay again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The water faucet is below ground to prevent freezing in winter months. Per camper request the site was far from the road noise and also had shade and is a extended stay back in site. Usually occupied by a long term camper. We support resident's right to their opinion, but their voices are too loud.

Very nice campsite. Lots of trees. Tricky to get to it if you are coming from the south. You have to go passed it then the turnaround is tricky to get to St. Michael Dr. We missed it the first time, then figured it out. We only stayed one night.

Even though it was a short stay we love it. Beautiful shade tress. Picnic table and swing was awesome. Didn’t have time to get in the pool before the very much needed rain came. The bathrooms were very clean. A+++++ campground

We like to stop at this KOA for an overnight stay. Close to the freeway for easy on/off access. Always clean and staff is friendly.

Nice RV park. Lot was large and fairly level. Clean restrooms. The office calls during the day to provide site # and directions. Went straight to site when we arrived. They provide WiFi and bathroom codes in their check-in email. Only negative is highway noise.

Front desk called ahead of time and let us know where we were staying and if we had questions. She met with us at arrival. Very nice. Close to freeway and easy parking with pull thru.

The hospitality was great. Easy check-in and instructions. But, there should be a warning about traffic noise next to the highway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are on the access road of I-30. Some campers are bothered by the road noise and others are not. some campers even say it is a quiet place despite the road noise. We move campers to long term sites further from the road when campers tell us they are bothered by road noise.

Great for an overnight stay. Very convenient on off to Hwy 59. The area was clean. Restrooms were clean. Parking pads are show wear. Road noise very loud all night. Best internet of any campground we've stayed in.

Easy on and off access, had a pool I didn't use, decent place to stay for a short stay. The staff was not overly friendly, the site was not level at all, no store. If there was anywhere else to stay, I'd skip this one.

Campground very accessible just off of I-30 W. Management knowledgeable and accommodating, restrooms and laundry very clean and fresh. Utility’s accessible and working correctly, no issues that caused any concerns. A little more landscaping an area maintenance would be nice for family enjoyment. Overall I would recommend this property.

It was scary actually. We even had a homeless person knock on our RV door and ask for money. Didn’t sleep well that night!

The showers were amazing clean. It is obviously an older facility and might be due for an update but again, very clean for the age. The site was tidy and ready to use. Trash can empty and with a bag in it.

The location is perfect for visiting our family in Texarkana so we're ok with the proximity to I30 and we're aware of the noise level. The homeless walking thru the park and knocking on our camper soliciting money was not ok.

Nice campground and very quiet. Well kept and Casey was available all day if anything is needed and was very nice. Only draw back is there is no little shop for small essentials. I would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom/laundry areas were really clean but the site we had was infested with aunts. We went to tell them and see if they had any ant spray, they said no and that was all they had to offer. So no we would not stay there unless it was the only place available. So now we have to get our 5th wheel fumigated when we get home..

We have a commercial Landscape Vendor that sprays for ants, the entire campground was sprayed in March. We had no problems with ants until July 25th. We called vendor, they will spray again and today July 28 they delivered chemical and we started spraying today.

Very clean campground n the front of what was a spacious mobile home park . Currently the mobile homes appear to be dwindling in numbers being replaced with spacious level Rv sites . Although by no means a resort the pool and facilities were well taken care of and the grounds were spotless . We will definitely stay again if in the area.

Woke up at 130am to camper inside and outside just swarming with ants. it was absolutely horrible. general store had 2 open 12 packs of soda in cooler, nothing else whatsoever. very disappointed for a KOA. won’t return and requested a refund at 4am after the now ongoing ant battle inside my camper. needs updated, I wouldn’t have expected a KOA to be like this.

We are so sorry about ants in your camper. We have a commercial vendor spray for ants and no reports of ants until your stay. A camper stayed in the very same site a day later and had no ants. we are 5 minutes from 3 grocery stores so we don't stock any perishables. We refunded your site rent.

Mostly quiet. My site had full sun which my ac struggled to keep up with. Of course this is due to abnormal (new normal?) heatwave occurring...the campground is close to major shopping if you want that. Decent OTA TV channels. Internet was pretty good.

Very rundown park, probably worst KOA we have stayed in. I realize it is a Journey, but still it was not up to the standards of others we have stayed at. Water pressure was very low and electric was tentative. We were one of only 4-5 Rv's there with rest of sites unoccupied. Three different Rv's pulled in, went to their site for a few minutes and then pulled out and left and did not return.

This should not be a KOA. You need to inspect this property. Be advised that the personnel were very polite and kind. Not their fault. But again, an in person inspection needs to be done.

Not only was the mattress in the cabin about 1,000x better than any of those slabs of solid rock they try to pass off as a damn mattress at most hotels, it came with sheets and pillows too! Our cabin was clean, the ladies at the front desk were nice, it was overall a great place to stay. The only downside is the location, it's right next to a feeder road so you get some road noise. It would be a bigger deal for tent campers, but trailers and those like us with cabins have a bit of insulation so it wasn't terrible.
