Almost no amenities listed on the website were available. No wifi, no kayaks. Place was almost empty but we were put at the smallest, crappiest tentsite available. Could have camped elsewhere with the same amenities for way cheaper. Paid six dollars for horrible coffee. Checked out a day early, staff told us a manager would be in touch the next day. A week later and I have yet to hear from anyone.

Location is beautiful, amenities are decent, but that is about it. Campground was not even close to full but they packed EVERYONE into one spot, you could hear people snore, cough, roll over in their sleeping bags etc. They "ask" if you have a preference like by the water or close to the wash house but they cram you into the same spot as everyone else. Stayed their twice, doubt I'll ever go back.

The facility is lovely and friendly staff. I wish I had known to ask for the open area instead of back in the trees. Sap on everything. The bathrooms and showers are clean with lots of hot water which I really really really appreciate. The only criticism would be the road to the driveway to the camp site (L-12) needs to be trimmed back.The branches have grown into the driveway.

Will be back. Please send someone to clear and level spot L12. Overgrown with brush and roots. Had a difficult time pulling in and backing out. Nice camp overall.

Nice private tent spot, quiet, liked that Jim delivered the firewood and ice. Had a nice stay. Overall the experience was good. My only feedback (and this applies to the KOA,s in general on my trip this year) is that the tent only (no water or electricity) price of $60-$70 seems very expensive and out of line with other tent only campgrounds. It seems like a fee of $30-$40 seems more reasonable.

First night was horrible, very loud, tents way too close to each other and other sites. Second night was better because we switched sites. If you go, definitely check the map and pick out a site that is in a quieter place.

Our campsite was too small. We had two small tents and were unable to set them up without blocking off either the picnic table or the fire pit. Also the site was advertised as having a mulch surface, but was instead just hard ground. There was even a small tree stump in the area we had to put one of the tents. Other than that the camp ground was nice and the bathrooms were clean.

This has been the best place we have ever camped! The location is beautiful, the staff were kind and friendly, the grounds were well maintained, and we will be coming back time and again! Thank you so much!

Unfortunately my tent spot was small so I just had no choice as to where I put my tent down. I got very little sleep because I was sleeping on a large root which I did not discover until it was too late. Also the site barely had room to pull in my car. I had to battle with bushes on either side of the car whenever I tried to get something out of the car. I canceled my 2nd days stay.

Stay at a tent site.The site has a bonfire. The shower is also beautiful. The problem is that the toilet is far from the tent site. Surrounded by trees, privacy is well protected.

We loved our campsite! Only downside is that our spot had a lot of stumps and roots which was a little difficult to when trying to decide where to place our tent, but a small sacrifice for such a great campground. Will definitely be coming back here!

We had a great time at the East glacier KOA. The campsites for tent camping were nice and secluded. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of hot showers, pool, and hot tub after a long day of hiking. Everyone at the camp was incredibly friendly. Great place to stay for access to all the good hikes on East Glacier. We would love to stay there next time we come to Glacier.

The KOA has a beautiful view, the staff were friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and our tent site in the trees was very nice.

This is a well run KOA with many hidden gems. A trail to the lake offers kayaks for use, a Nature Trail around the river front, dog park area along with the normal pool, playground. The tent spots are secluded in a treed area, quite shady and nice. Enjoyed our stay!

On check in, we were placed next to a family with dogs that were just left out without leases. Husband requested another site. We were informed we should 'control our dogs' when we said we were worried. We were allowed to change, but they kept interrupting the fix by helping another customer. The 10pm noise curfew wasn't followed. The 7am noise curfew wasn't followed. Not likely to stay again.

Staff was terrific. Bathrooms are pretty far from tent sites, that can be difficult. Probably nice amenities for families but we didn’t use them (pool, bicycles). The tent sites are nestled in trees, that was very nice.

They were very good to work with. We got there later than planned but they were still there for us to check in, we stayed a few extra days and let us stay at the same site without having to move everything. Restrooms and showers were clean. Campground clean and welcoming. And the huckleberry ice cream at the little store was delicious. We will be staying again next time we visit Glacier.

Terrible for tent guests. I was in spot D5 which was rated a tent spot. It was probably the worst spot in the entire campground. Trying to make breakfast 15ft from someone dumping their blackwater? I almost threw up. There was no privacy in my spot, no trees no shade options, nowhere to hang a clothesline. The pool was nice so we spent all our time there. This place is great for RV'S, not tents.

Our tent site was perfect for us. We had privacy created by trees and bushes. It was big enough to easily accommodate our big tent set up a table and chair and park a pickup. The office staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The bathroom was cleaned every morning and conveniently located. This was our first stay at the St Mary KOA and we are looking forward to another one next year.

The person who checked us in didn’t know any information about the local area. The man who took us to our site didn’t know where extra parking was as our vehicle wouldn’t fit in the tent site either our tent. The bathrooms needed more than once per day cleaning. The only plus is its location near the St Mary’s entrance of the NP.

Site muddy, no play chips on site as promised. Hot tub cloudy and cold, pool covered in bugs, bathrooms not clean and smelled. Wifi didn’t work. Roads dusty, no monitoring for bear safety with food left out, small sites, splash pad didn’t work, some washers and dryers out of order, landscape was not kept up, staff spoke their language around people and felt rude, altogether not a real koa feel

It has its own perks compared to the west Glacier KOA . It was much quieter meaning No Train. Bathrooms/showers were clean. People were a lot more relaxed and not loud. I didn’t like the ants that were all over our campgrounds. They made it difficult to cook they crawled on you and your food . They also fell from the trees. Bring ant spray. Our faucet sprayed water like a shower.

The campsite (k group) was very small. It was noisy, too. We woke up several times after midnight to noise. The staff was impatient. The value was not good. What are we paying for?

A miss trained office worker did not allow two tents on my site, even though a senior administrator later found the exact reservation on her computer. The result was an additional $144 charge to me. When the mistake was found, they did not refund my money. Don’t trust their reservation system! Additionally, the distance from tents to a bathroom is two blocks! This July our tent area was mud

We had a great time staying at the St. Mary's KOA access to the park was very convenient even though it was Early in the camping season and not a lot of the park is open yet we still had a great time staying at the KOA. The campground is well kept a very clean and the staff is awesome.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Views are fantastic! Not crowded when we were there, but we arrived on opening day in May. It started filling up that weekend.

We stayed at the St. Mary's East Glacier KOA Holiday in August 2025, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The location was absolutely gorgeous and made getting into Glacier National Park each day incredibly easy. It was simple to get into and out of our spot, and hooking up our RV was quick and hassle‑free. The Wi‑Fi was excellent, and the staff was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The entire campground was very clean, well kept, and beautifully maintained. It's a stunning place, and we would definitely visit again.
