Probably the best KOA Campground we’ve stayed at, certainly in Top 5. Great welcoming staff, well maintained laid out and facilities. Roomy campsite.. Free shuttles to/from Ferry. Meals available. Just a great Campground

Enjoyed the stay. Only major issue was the water pooling to the point you can not get into the office and part of the part up front and the dog park were unuseable do to flooding. I would recommend they create some berms or ways for the water to flow away from the building, park and dog park. I would say this was a one time thing but it was the same last year.

Well cared for camping area and very helpful staff. Quiet at night and well lit by the bathrooms which are kept clean.

The stay was very enjoyable. Only concern was the vehicles that were driving in and out of the campground on Saturday the day of the show. I realize registration begins at 6 am, however, vehicles were coming in starting around 4 am and some were starting their very loud vehicles shortly after that time.

We really enjoyed your customer service we ordered breakfast twice and you delivered to us we ordered firewood once and you delivered to us and everything happened fairly quickly our campsite was nice as well. All staff encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you

Loved your staff, your location, and your amenities! Big thumbs up to Pam at the food truck on the breakfast items--most especially that bacon jam! HAD A GREAT TIME AND HOPE TO RETURN!

Sites were decent size, plenty of tree coverage in our row but the newer section in the back seemed bare. Make sure you have plenty of water hose as our hook up was at least 60ft away from our hookup. Having the free shuttle to the ferry was perfect and the ladies in the store were so pleasant.

Staff was great! Very helpful. Both in the office & one of the guys outside helping us back in. The tickets for the ferry ride & shuttle were awesome!! Didn't have to move our vehicle, took us right to the dock, picked us up as soon as we got off the boat. Very convenient. Looks like a nice playground area for kids to use.

This is a beautiful park. Very accommodating due to our length. They went out of their way to make sure we had the perfect spot. Lots of activities. Great family place. This is our 2nd time staying here and any time we are through here, we will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at St. Ignace. The sites were clean large enough that we didn’t feel like we were on top of our neighbors. Friendly staff with excellent pizza. I did find the dog park was way too small. Too confining to have two strange dogs meet had to enter one at a time.

Great place to stop. Friendly staff and very helpful. Tractor traffic was a bit much, but understand this was the beginning of camping season and repairs had to be made. Very convenient to different sites to see around the area. Will stay again when in the area.

Would have rated this KOA higher but from the time we arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday it was very noise employees running up and down the roads on a noisy tractor spreading gravel from morning till night. I get that you need to keep up with repairs but this should have been done during the off season and not when the park is open. Side note all employees were very nice !!!

Mosquitos are bad, even when the temps are in the mid 50's and it's raining. While we understand there is no good time to do camp maintenance, it was annoying how many times the tractor raced back/forth past our site Thurs. afternoon thru Saturday dropping gravel and cement truck pouring cement. Very noisy & distracting. We'd stay again, but we're at least brining a bug zapper!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 Stars — Great Stay at the St. Ignace KOA! I stayed at the St. Ignace KOA back in September during a cross-country motorcycle trip. Although I didn't stay in an RV or tent, I reserved one of the small cabins—and the experience was fantastic. I arrived after hours, but the check-in process couldn't have been easier. The staff left a packet with my cabin key, a map, and instructions for the next day's check-in. Super simple and appreciated after a long day on the road. The campground itself was quiet and peaceful. I stayed from Monday to Wednesday, so it wasn't overly crowded. The cabin was impressively clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. There was a small TV that struggled with signal, but honestly I didn't come here to watch TV—I spent my evenings enjoying the campfire and staring up at the incredible night sky. The stars were spectacular! One note for anyone arriving after dark: the cabin area isn't marked super clearly at night. I arrived while there was still some daylight, so it wasn't a problem. Later, when coming back from dinner, I used a blue glow stick to mark my entryway—simple fix that worked perfectly. The campground felt friendly and safe. Other campers kept to themselves but were pleasant when interactions happened. Bathrooms and showers were clean, well-maintained, and no complaints there. When checking out, there was a slight delay since staff were shorthanded and out cleaning cabins. They provide a number you can call to speed things up, but it wasn't a big issue for me—I had time. Amenities offered at this KOA include: • Basketball • Cornhole (Bags) • Ferry tickets to Mackinac Island • Free shuttle to ferry companies • Free shuttle to the casino • Game room ($) • Large Connect-Four • Laundry (paid) • Mighty Mack Snack Shack • Mini golf • Playgrounds • Firewood for sale • Volleyball Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this KOA. Clean facilities, friendly staff, great cabins, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I'd definitely stay here again on future trips through the area.

I prefer St. Ignace over Mackinaw City always because it's more historical and vintage. The KOA is a great place to stay because it feels like a State Park but has full hookup and activities on site. They provide shuttle to the Mackinac Island ferry ride. And, they have a laundry room. And the WiFi is great.
