The staff were all amazing and friendly! The facilities were all very very clean! The whole park was very clean and well kept. Was so easy to ride the shuttle from the park to the ferry and then be dropped off at the end of a long day!

Our cabin was clean and well supplied. The campground was beautifully maintained. The staff was delightful and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. My kids absolutely loved it. The mini golf, gaga ball, and game rooms were a big hit with them. We also loved our deck and outdoor space at DK5. We hope to return again!

why charge $2/ pet fee per day? and child resort fee $2/day- there is nothing to do for kids.... old run down play ground set. NO POOL. Other parks around far better.

Was very pleased with the hospitality of the staff. Shepler’s ferry provides a shuttle from the campsite to the dock to Mackinac Island. This convenience helped us to stay an extra night.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. The camping sites were clean and well maintained. When the bathrooms are busy more frequent cleaning would be appreciated.

We had 4 boys with us, and the kid activities were great!! Quiet time was supposedly 10 p.m., and it went to 11 one night, (just folks partying and lots of kids having fun) but otherwise, everything was great. The campground was clean and well set up. If one isn't traveling with kids, reserve a site in the back area near the woods. Very quiet, more space and better for "mature" fol

A VERY UNLEVEL SITE. TOOK ME OVER 1 HOUR TO GET SITE USABLE. AFTER MUCH PRODING THEY BROUGHT IN MORE GRAVEL, BUT I STILL HAD TO SPRED IT AROUND TO GET MY RIG RESONABLE LEVEL. I HAD MADE RESERVATIONS OVER ONE MONTH PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. ONE WOULD THINK THAT THEY COULD HAVE A SITE READY FOR ME WITH A ONE MONTH LEAD TIME! NO, YOU WILL NOT BE SEEING ME AGAIN SOON!

Keep in mind we stayed in the cheaper sites, but sites could use some gravel. Low, glad it wasn’t raining. Mini course needs some work. Staff was great and over all camp ground is good, location handy

Overall excellent campground. I think some work is needed for all tent sites, even the cheapest, to have a level raise area with good drainage for a tent.

good campgrnd good effort made for activities good sites, however check to see if you mislabled power outlets, power outlets on campers are generally on left/drivrs side, your site power poles on right side. too far to reach without extntn cord. see if there is an unused/unlabeled power pole at beginning or end of line of campsites, that might indicate the numbering is 1 off too many mosquitos

Great site (paved patio) the only problem was the fire wood. Even with the fire starter had a hard time keeping it lit. We were finally able to get it to stay lit by using my hand axe and chopping a smaller piece into small sticks. The small sticks would light and burn long enough to light the large logs. I don't know if the wood is wet or just too big of pcs.

It was too short.

A very nice campground with a great location. I was disappointed to get what is probably the worst site in the campground with cars zooming by constantly and zero privacy. I stay at a lot of koa’s but guess that doesn’t matter in respect to how I am treated as a customer. A bit disappointing.

Adorable and clean cabin. Shared bathrooms were the nicest I’ve seen and so clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great campground amenities and location. Will stay again!

Decent place and clean the spots are a little tight and some are a little uneven but overall a nice campground a little disappointed that there was no pool but would stay again

Mud hole, over priced, entire park needs road bond compaction and gravel. Ruts everywhere. Could not get any help for pump out or filling in ruts where our unit went through the gravel. I even offered to fill it back in if they had a shovel. We had a 10+ inch mote that was always filled with water in front of our water bay. Hoses. Electric cord covered in mud. Spend some money on this place

We had a 4 night stay planned. Unfortunately, I injured my knee while camping and had to cut our visit short to go home. Requested a refund for the (2) nights we didn’t stay but was denied, regardless of the reason. Very disappointed in this policy. I will think twice about staying at a KOA in the future.

I loved it!!
Jul 28, 2025
It was the worst KOA I've ever stayed. It was a nightmare from start to finish! Not kid friendly, 1 playground, WAY UP FRONT, NXT TO FREEWAY! Nor, is it tent friendly, on ur "tent/RV" sites! U CAN'T PUT SHALE DOWN WHERE U STAKE IN TENTS! Site to small for a 10' x 12' tent & drive, boulders on 1 side & roots other! I fell on boulder & bruised my back! NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS KOA EVER AGAIN!!

Well kept and managed property. They accommodated last minute changes. Great location more to do than available time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 Stars — Great Stay at the St. Ignace KOA! I stayed at the St. Ignace KOA back in September during a cross-country motorcycle trip. Although I didn't stay in an RV or tent, I reserved one of the small cabins—and the experience was fantastic. I arrived after hours, but the check-in process couldn't have been easier. The staff left a packet with my cabin key, a map, and instructions for the next day's check-in. Super simple and appreciated after a long day on the road. The campground itself was quiet and peaceful. I stayed from Monday to Wednesday, so it wasn't overly crowded. The cabin was impressively clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. There was a small TV that struggled with signal, but honestly I didn't come here to watch TV—I spent my evenings enjoying the campfire and staring up at the incredible night sky. The stars were spectacular! One note for anyone arriving after dark: the cabin area isn't marked super clearly at night. I arrived while there was still some daylight, so it wasn't a problem. Later, when coming back from dinner, I used a blue glow stick to mark my entryway—simple fix that worked perfectly. The campground felt friendly and safe. Other campers kept to themselves but were pleasant when interactions happened. Bathrooms and showers were clean, well-maintained, and no complaints there. When checking out, there was a slight delay since staff were shorthanded and out cleaning cabins. They provide a number you can call to speed things up, but it wasn't a big issue for me—I had time. Amenities offered at this KOA include: • Basketball • Cornhole (Bags) • Ferry tickets to Mackinac Island • Free shuttle to ferry companies • Free shuttle to the casino • Game room ($) • Large Connect-Four • Laundry (paid) • Mighty Mack Snack Shack • Mini golf • Playgrounds • Firewood for sale • Volleyball Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this KOA. Clean facilities, friendly staff, great cabins, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I'd definitely stay here again on future trips through the area.

I prefer St. Ignace over Mackinaw City always because it's more historical and vintage. The KOA is a great place to stay because it feels like a State Park but has full hookup and activities on site. They provide shuttle to the Mackinac Island ferry ride. And, they have a laundry room. And the WiFi is great.
