Staff was super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were always clean. One thing we noticed, the putt putt course is in need of several repairs.

We learned that the electric jack on our trailer was locked up. At that same time, Todd, one of the KOA employees, came by to deliver our two bundles of wood. He came over to see what was going on. He hopped right into action, went and got a jack and some 4x4's, got our trailer off the car, and we're in business! When we departed Frank was just as helpful. GREAT STAFF!

We stayed in a glamping tent and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space inside. Bedding and towels were provided and the tent had lighting as well as a mini fridge and microwave. We are already making plans for our next vacation and glamping with KOA.

Great campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean facilities. Free shuttle to ferry to visit Mackinac island.

Had a full hookup back in site that was not level and had to move to another site. When I complained about the grade the office attendant said it was graded in 1970 and they had not had time to do it again. Not much of an explanation in my book.

We enjoyed our stat at St. Ignace/Mackinac Island KOA. Our site was relatively level and very clean. I noticed every time a rig pulled out the grounds keepers came by and made sure the site was clean. the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.

Very nice place to stay the staff was amazing.

Sites were level and lots of room. Very quiet as we were away from the road. The staff was excellent. We really appreciated that they had a free shuttle to the ferry for Mackinac Island! No hassle with unplugging (we have a Class B) or looking for parking. Saved parking fees as well! They brought us right back to our site when we returned. We’ll definitely be back next time we come to the area

Just an overnight stay. Would go back. Very clean and sites were nice.

We absolutely loved staying in the glamping tent! Everyone at the store was so helpful and kind and the area is beautiful!

It was a nice campground. When we checked in and saw our site, it was all mud and no gravel or grass. The office person helped us move sites without fuss. The second site was great. Nice clean wash house just wish handicapped stall had hand held shower. Very convenient location to St Ignace and the bridge.

Beautiful park! It was so nice to be able to buy Mackinac Island ferry tickets and use the free shuttle back and forth to the ferry landing with our two dogs. Love the Totem Village shop right next door!

We were Camping @ St. Ignace/Mackinac KOA. A bolt had broken off leaving the stabilizer bar on the tow hitch ineffective we were stuck and shared our situation with the Staff at the KOA. Scott and Todd KOA workers show up and after a great effort fixes the problem. You folks went beyond the call of duty. Thank you, Scott, Todd, Rhonda and the KOA Saff you turned a negative into a positive.

As usual the camp staff are friendly and there is lots of fun activities to do and there sites are great, the only draw back this stay was we rented a cabin, the inside was clean but the outside was covered with webs and spiders, as well as the provided patio furniture and as it would be thats the one thing my wife is scared of so I had to remove them so she could enjoy our stay

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry your patio had cobwebs. Please reach out to the camp store and we will clean those off for you in the future.

We were pleased with our stay. Need to get some baby swings for the littles under 2. Also putt-putt needs some updating.

Loved the corner wooded lot I was given! If I had made my reservation by phone, it is exactly what I would have asked for! Very clean campground! Only one little complaint...the burning ash going in my car as I was packing from whatever you guys were burning behind the fence. We enjoyed your campground and would definitely stay again!

What a great campground. Staff were awesome. Free shuttle services to Sheplers Ferry and site delivery of ice/firewood. Would definitely stay again

I came here for the last night of my vacation. 1 night stay in a tent. Wish I had come here from the start. There was so much for my kid and I to do.

Unfortunately, the negatives are well documented in the reviews. Sites are way too close together, hooks ups are in odd spaces! It has the potential, it’s well maintained, friendly staff and has lots of activities for family. But like I said we had no privacy.

The staff were very friendly. We were also accommodated because it had rained and we had a tent site that was very muddy, and they moved to someplace drier. Very appreciated. The staff also helped us get the free shuttle to the ferry port.

The campground was great. The lady in the office was kind of rude.

It was nice just feel when there's special events like the truck show the camp store could extend their hours
Sep 15, 2025
our site was very small, neighboring sites fire pit was only 6' away from our slide out, camp host was pretty rude when doing is rounds at night, we were sitting at a fire just talking and instead of nicely asking us to keep things quieter he very rudely walked up and shouted to us that it was after quite time and we were being to loud, he should have had a different attitude and tone

Only “complaint” would be a somewhat muddy/dirt parking area for our RV. There was a small amount of crushed stone in the very front of the site but there was no way anyone would park their RV on that tiny area so close to the road. So we were parked on the dirt for our stay. The site needs to be graveled.

Sites are nicely spaced, well maintained park, and great staff.

Very nice campground. It had everything we needed.

Very nice stay, your staff is helpful and friendly. I wish I had gotten her name as the lady who checked us in gave us all the info we needed to know and set us up for a trip to the island. My only wish would be a more powerful wi-fi.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 Stars — Great Stay at the St. Ignace KOA! I stayed at the St. Ignace KOA back in September during a cross-country motorcycle trip. Although I didn't stay in an RV or tent, I reserved one of the small cabins—and the experience was fantastic. I arrived after hours, but the check-in process couldn't have been easier. The staff left a packet with my cabin key, a map, and instructions for the next day's check-in. Super simple and appreciated after a long day on the road. The campground itself was quiet and peaceful. I stayed from Monday to Wednesday, so it wasn't overly crowded. The cabin was impressively clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. There was a small TV that struggled with signal, but honestly I didn't come here to watch TV—I spent my evenings enjoying the campfire and staring up at the incredible night sky. The stars were spectacular! One note for anyone arriving after dark: the cabin area isn't marked super clearly at night. I arrived while there was still some daylight, so it wasn't a problem. Later, when coming back from dinner, I used a blue glow stick to mark my entryway—simple fix that worked perfectly. The campground felt friendly and safe. Other campers kept to themselves but were pleasant when interactions happened. Bathrooms and showers were clean, well-maintained, and no complaints there. When checking out, there was a slight delay since staff were shorthanded and out cleaning cabins. They provide a number you can call to speed things up, but it wasn't a big issue for me—I had time. Amenities offered at this KOA include: • Basketball • Cornhole (Bags) • Ferry tickets to Mackinac Island • Free shuttle to ferry companies • Free shuttle to the casino • Game room ($) • Large Connect-Four • Laundry (paid) • Mighty Mack Snack Shack • Mini golf • Playgrounds • Firewood for sale • Volleyball Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this KOA. Clean facilities, friendly staff, great cabins, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I'd definitely stay here again on future trips through the area.

I prefer St. Ignace over Mackinaw City always because it's more historical and vintage. The KOA is a great place to stay because it feels like a State Park but has full hookup and activities on site. They provide shuttle to the Mackinac Island ferry ride. And, they have a laundry room. And the WiFi is great.
