Campground Reviews

Our main focus for our trip was to visit Mackinac Island and explore both towns on each side of the bridge. This KOA on the St. Ignace side was perfect for our adventure. The KOA is located just outside of St. Ignace off Highway 2, so adventuring out each day was convenient and simple. The staff at the campground was very courteous and professional.

Improvements are needed. We stayed in Site 123 and to be able to plug in our rig’s 35ft electric cord, had to park at the very back of the lot which was very uneven making our bottom camper step knee high. Water was located on the opposite side of the site as well so nearly didn’t have enough hose. Most campsites at the back of the campground have the same issue. However the folks were very n

The host was friendly and informative, telling us about all the things available at the Campground, the shuttle transport to the ferry and about the food truck being offered for breakfast and dinner. The food was good.

The sites were well laid out and ours was shaded. Convenience of having Sheplers pick us up and drop us off from the Mackinac ferry was amazing. And the laundry room was clean and well kept.

Conveniently located to all attractions. Employees do a good job of keeping the place well maintained. Seems to be a lot of activities for the kids. Onsite food truck for light fair dinners and breakfast so that was convenient. Our spot (39) a little cramped as our awning over hung the sewer drain next site over. We did have the back of our MH to hang out in a secluded back yard so that was nic

Site was long enough to unhook my 45' 5th wheel and still have plenty of room for my truck in front. Site was level side to side but was high in the front but still able to level rig. The sites are gravel and there is no "porch" area, so you step off into grass that if wet makes a mess inside. Sites are fairly close but not uncomfortably close. Go to the Soo Locks and Mackinac Island.

Very clean and nice campground with plenty of activities for children to enjoy. They offer wifi, which is good for phone use, but you cannot stream on a TV with it. The employees are very nice.

Friendly staff very accommodating. The grounds team jumped right in when a site was ready for inspection or mowing ,sweeping. We bought boat tickets for Mackinaw Island and was picked up by shuttle service very convenient. Sites were nice and level, we had a patio site and our 40ft motorhome was easy to maneuver in. Everything was great until it rained and flooded our site and made it hard to do anything at the site.

Amazing! The staff was very nice and quick to respond and deliver items, great service. The campground is well-kept and our cabin very clean. The only issue was the WiFi was spotty. It wouldn’t be an issue normally but my husband had to work at times and this was a challenge.

I and my furry friend took a weeklong trip to the upper Peninsula and, I had thought that the Saint Ignace KOA would be a great base point. I couldn’t have been happier with the campground and the service. There’s a food truck there and the food was amazing, a nice camp store, wood and firestarter, all delivered to my site. Bathrooms were clean, and the campground itself was well maintained.

We stayed in a cabin. It was clean and well equipped with plenty of room. The grandson had plenty of things to do. The food trailer was excellent. Pam made us breakfast burritos that I recommend. The rest of the crew were very nice and pleasant to talk to. The grounds were nice and clean. I recommend this KOA. We will be back.

Had site 145. Very nice and quiet but mosquitoes were terrible. Before giving anyone this site make them aware of this problem. Mini golf in hardly usable condition. Rotten wood. Torn carpet. Dangerous screws exposed. Bathrooms very nice. Sites well maintained. Service very good. Our grandkids loved the bounce pad. Overall nice KOA.

Close enough to get to the ferries that take you to Mackinac Island. Sites are small but we were there just to visit the island for the day. Extremely friendly staff and the food service truck had good pizza we enjoyed.
