Enjoyed our time. The tent was awesome. The only thing was that the drive to the tent got more narrow the farther down we went (and our site was at the end of the drive with no easy turn around) and the sites are very close together. It's also very close to the highway and even being far back could hear the road at night. very high tourist area. Great amenities and discount tickets to the ferry.

Great place to stop. Friendly staff and very helpful. Tractor traffic was a bit much, but understand this was the beginning of camping season and repairs had to be made. Very convenient to different sites to see around the area. Will stay again when in the area.

Very friendly. Great location.

Would have rated this KOA higher but from the time we arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday it was very noise employees running up and down the roads on a noisy tractor spreading gravel from morning till night. I get that you need to keep up with repairs but this should have been done during the off season and not when the park is open. Side note all employees were very nice !!!

The option to get cooked food from the store was amazing. That was honestly the best amenity from our stay. The cabin was nice and clean.

Nice place to stay!

To much sandy ground, get on and in everything. Really bad when wet from rain.

Very nice cabin. Clean and lots of space. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Mosquitos are bad, even when the temps are in the mid 50's and it's raining. While we understand there is no good time to do camp maintenance, it was annoying how many times the tractor raced back/forth past our site Thurs. afternoon thru Saturday dropping gravel and cement truck pouring cement. Very noisy & distracting. We'd stay again, but we're at least brining a bug zapper!

Staff made it all easy from free delivery of wood and dinners from food truck. Only thing was how bust work crew was and tractor noise.

Clean cabin, spotless restrooms, nice campground. One hiccup was the tv didn’t work. It wasn’t a big deal to us though. It was all good

First time in the UP and staying at this KOA. The park is nice with plenty of activities and the park utilized text to inform/remind you of activities occurring. Park is clean and the staff is wonderful.

Nice place, not as much for the kids to do as others.

Stay was good, stayed in the new A frame sleeping cabin. The cabin as better than staying in a normal sleeping cabin. One thing that would of been nice is having a restroom closer to the new development of the A frames.

This. KOA is good for its location. There’s a shuttle that will take you to the ferry to Mackinac Island. You can get discounted tickets for the ferry in the KOA office. For Kids there is a jump pillow and the mini golf. However, the playground could use some updating. We were a bit disappointed that there was no pool. Staff are friendly and the campground is overall clean.

Very courteous staff and campground is very orderly and clean.

This was a nice campground overall. Friendly staff! The cabins are new and have all the comforts of home! They had very nice patio furniture but we like to bring our own chairs and have a wooden table to cook around the fire so that was a drawback. Also the playground structure was covered in spiderwebs which made play hard for my youngest.

It was great! Park was very clean, restrooms were clean. Bonus if your going to the Island they have a Shuttle that will pick you up. They also kept you informed on events in the area. Would go back to stay again.

Love staying at this KOA when I visit Mackinac. Large layout allows for space and quiet evenings. Lots of activities like tie die shirt making and we were able to catch a drone light show in St. Ignace thanks to the staff sending out a text with information.

Probably the best KOA I’ve stayed at. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Love the activities offered and the food truck is a great idea. Had breakfast sandwiches there which were perfect. We stayed at a cabin which was perfect for our girls trip. Has everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

Friendly. Clean. Quiet. Tremendous. Live that you can just hop the shuttle for the ferry. Stayed before. Will stay again.

Charming campground. Everything was clean and well kept. Our site (28) was level. Rhonda was very welcoming and extremely helpful. She had a great knowledge base of the area. Shuttles to and from the ferry were convenient. Overall great stay.

Cabin was very nice, clean, quite. We found a couple of blooming trilliums in the forest near the cabin. Showers were nearby. Drinking/cooking water was nearby.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5 Stars — Great Stay at the St. Ignace KOA! I stayed at the St. Ignace KOA back in September during a cross-country motorcycle trip. Although I didn't stay in an RV or tent, I reserved one of the small cabins—and the experience was fantastic. I arrived after hours, but the check-in process couldn't have been easier. The staff left a packet with my cabin key, a map, and instructions for the next day's check-in. Super simple and appreciated after a long day on the road. The campground itself was quiet and peaceful. I stayed from Monday to Wednesday, so it wasn't overly crowded. The cabin was impressively clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. There was a small TV that struggled with signal, but honestly I didn't come here to watch TV—I spent my evenings enjoying the campfire and staring up at the incredible night sky. The stars were spectacular! One note for anyone arriving after dark: the cabin area isn't marked super clearly at night. I arrived while there was still some daylight, so it wasn't a problem. Later, when coming back from dinner, I used a blue glow stick to mark my entryway—simple fix that worked perfectly. The campground felt friendly and safe. Other campers kept to themselves but were pleasant when interactions happened. Bathrooms and showers were clean, well-maintained, and no complaints there. When checking out, there was a slight delay since staff were shorthanded and out cleaning cabins. They provide a number you can call to speed things up, but it wasn't a big issue for me—I had time. Amenities offered at this KOA include: • Basketball • Cornhole (Bags) • Ferry tickets to Mackinac Island • Free shuttle to ferry companies • Free shuttle to the casino • Game room ($) • Large Connect-Four • Laundry (paid) • Mighty Mack Snack Shack • Mini golf • Playgrounds • Firewood for sale • Volleyball Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this KOA. Clean facilities, friendly staff, great cabins, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I'd definitely stay here again on future trips through the area.

I prefer St. Ignace over Mackinaw City always because it's more historical and vintage. The KOA is a great place to stay because it feels like a State Park but has full hookup and activities on site. They provide shuttle to the Mackinac Island ferry ride. And, they have a laundry room. And the WiFi is great.
