The campground is close to the freeway. We had a site near the back and were not bothered by the traffic noise. We would definitely stay here again, but request a site to the back. The staff are very friendly and they have a very nice store. Bothrooms and showers were very clean.

The Sioux City KOA was just ok, they had several projects going at the same time so some things were not available to guests. Park is very rocky and hard to walk on with the large rocks. Still not sure why store closed early

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for staying! the only things closed at the moment are the pool which is under new construction to make it larger and the dog park which will be moving. All other amenities are open. The store in our shoulder season is open until 6 so the staff can get sites ready for early arrivals.

Everything great, except the rain! Would recommend gravel patios on sites with no cement patios. It would help with mud issues after rains.

We found all employees kind and accommodating. Park is dated and could use some updating. Area had some hard rains while we were there and we woke up surrounded by a moat! Drainage needs to be addressed with a consideration for concrete pads.

Pleasant stay overnight. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom facility was clean. The campground grounds were well maintained.

The staff is amazing, so helpful and kind. Our second time staying and we will stay again. This KOA is beautiful and so well cared for. We loved our patio site.

Office is only manned at limited times which seems odd to me. Texted as notice said to but didn’t get the bathroom code or WiFi password. Lots of road noise. Grounds seem reasonably well maintained.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

In April the office is only open until 6pm but we do take late night arrivals and walk-in. For these we do give passcodes out when asked as not everyone is in need and many use facilities. The text log stated a space was needed but no other communication was sent. If we were aware it would be sent

I had a reservation and when I arrived they were closed for lunch, I suppose. They had maps with names in night box, but none for me We ended up just taking one from the open spots Not sure what happened to our original spot which was suppose to be in the box I did call via intercom and they said it there, but someone else must have taken it with my receipt and personal information on it

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We did find out later that another guest did the your map because they didn’t read the instructions that were posted. With that said in an event like this you can be rest assured as we do not leave receipts or personal information attached to maps. Only your lastname was listed. Safe travels!

Great campground. Perfect location for a 2 night layover for our South Dakota trip. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Curbside check in was a nice touch. Showers could use some upgrades, especially the drains, but they are clean. The pool is phenomenal, just wish the waterside was working. The kids gave the playground a 4.5 out of 5. Would recommend thia campround.

Great little spot to stop! Had a 1 night stay on our way across the country. Great laundry facilities. Wash was $1 dryer was $.75. Didn't have to dry twice, which was nice!! Woke up to a beautiful sunset, showered with some decent pressure (the shower heads could use a good vinegar soak to reduce some of the build up) but overall, very pleased! Would stay again!

Really nice campground with great staff! There is some road noise, however it is right off of the highway!! What do you expect lol!
