When we first arrived, our original cabin had a broken air conditioner...in 95° weather. We were upgraded to a different cabin, whose air conditioner also had problems; while we were out, the management took care of the problem & when we came back it was much cooler inside. We appreciate their time in rectifying the situation.

We had a wonderful time at the Shelby Mansfield KOA. It’s one of our favorite campgrounds. There is so much to do, the kids really enjoy it! The campground is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is great. Very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this KOA. We will definitely be back to visit again.

Nice and relaxing. Staff very friendly and pleasant Always do the tye dye and it is so much fun!! One suggestion a hot tub where new pool is.

We really had a good time, the only negative I would say we had a terrible time to get the TV to work. Garry came out Sunday Nite and got it going for us but then after that we could not get it to work on a consistent basis. We have reservations again in August and look forward to coming back out then.

We had 6 campsites and a cabin and found the campsites very roomy for our group. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Cabin could use some updating in bathroom but our stay was comfortable and enjoyable

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Restroom & showers were very clean and not “camp-like” at all. Sites were nice sized, shaded and our patio site was well equipped and maintained. Store was impressive and while we didn’t have any children with us, there appeared to be plenty of great activities for those who were there.

This campground is the best one we have stayed at yet ! It’s beautiful! Love the red geraniums! Has fantastic amenities and lots of stuff for the kids to do! I was a little confused with my bill. Got charged $105 / night but when I made the reservation it was $77.00/ night ? Still, we want to go back.

The only problem was the internet issue. Could not get use my phone due to lack of service to check email. Even with using my hotspot.

This is wonderful park with lots of amenities. Two items though I feel need to be addressed. First, I believe the speed limit in the park is 5 mph. Yet I witnessed seasonal campers in their golf carts zipping around the park far faster than the posted speed limit. Second, the putter golf attraction is in much need of maintenance and updating. Overall a very nice park.

Always top notch. Clean. Roomy. Great cable tv. This is one of the nicest places we stay at. The store has everything you will ever need. The cafe has good food too. Our home away from home. The site and the staff are top notch. So many activities surrounded by amazing grounds and attentive staff. Definitely BEST KOA I have ever experienced. And I am seasoned KOA camper with 30 plus years experience. Kudos to all. Can't say enough....

We had a problem with our stay at another koa and shelby was on our next stop during our travels and they went over the top to accommodate us earlier. The more we go, the more this campground feels like a second home. Highly recommend the campground and the staff and the ones that run it. I would encourage everyone to try it on their travels.

We had a lovely stay while attending our Great Dane specialty. We loved our cabin and the site we were on with only some very minor inconveniences that were rectified immediately when we contacted the office. We look forward to coming back.

Visited with 4 RVs on a friend's recommendation but regretted it. They charge extra fees for everything. Gated zones require barcodes just to move around the park. It feels like a prison, earning it the nickname "prison camp" from our group. Most staff were not nice, though a few were okay. Avoid this place if you want a relaxing trip.

Nice campsite, fishing pond, pool, clean restrooms. Everyone on staff was really friendly and helpful. The mini golf course was a mess-weeds everywhere and debris on the course and algae in the water. This surprised us with how well the rest of the grounds were kept up. We were disappointed that they charge extra for people, cars, and dogs at the campsites and cabins. Overall, it was a nice stay.

We had a great time and felt like we had plenty to do. I found the bathrooms really clean. My husband said the one by where we stayed were not as clean. We would definitely come back in the future.

Place was beautiful well kept up and great activities but when your child and you get yelled at the first day (only 7) for something an employee told you was ok she didn't want to leave the cabin the following day so we waisted an entire day stuck inside cause she was very upset from what was said to her.

We arrived late but the checkout at 2 the next day have us a lot of time. It's a great facility with so much to do. Every employee there was happy and helpful!

My family and I had the very best time here! This was our first time staying at a KOA. There is so much to do, the kids were busy the whole time. The campground is nicely decorated with flowers everywhere giving off a nice peaceful feel. Bathroom/showers are very nice and clean. The sites are spacious too. The staff was very helpful. We loved it so much, I booked another trip already!

I am not sure about the resort status. There are activities that may support but some of the grounds seemed to be lacking in upkeep in some areas and the WiFi was never strong enough to check just email. The camper next to us left trash out over night and looked like there was animals going through it after over turning the containers.

On Thursday I did report a paper towel dispenser that didn’t work, it was still not functioning on Sunday. I would love to see the water feature on the putt putt course fixed. Otherwise it is one of our favorite places to camp. Thanks.

Love coming here. Everyone is always friendly and always clean. We did visit the Cafe several times but we did have to wait over 35 min. Another thing I've brought up in the past is, I was wondering why the kids splash park was always ice cold water and not heated. Every year our grand kids won't play in it. The main pool is full of kids because of it. A big investment by you to not be used.

This is a great campground We take the grandkids here every year! They love it, plenty of activities for them and adults too! Stayed at a signature patio site this year and it is worth the price! will be making reservations for next year!

Shelby Mansfield KOA used to be our campground of choice. This stay seemed different. We waited over 45 minutes for donuts in the morning. Events through the weekend were delayed and not on time and one staff member in particular was not pleasant to interact with. While we will be giving it another shot this fall in hopes that we see the same KOA we once loved.

My husband and I came here for the first time on our wedding day for a honeymoon getaway for the July 4th Weekend. We were tent camping, and the site was spacious and accommodating, with full hook ups available. The check in was friendly and quick, the staff was very welcoming and checking in went seamless with the camp store/office being huge, with the best variety of supplies that anyone could think of if they forgot or wanted to grab a neat take home gift. We had breakfast and lunch multiple times in the cafe and the food was great, fast and filled you up. The activities both for kids and adults were steadily scheduled and well planned and executed, nothing forgotten - and the campground was full with easily 1000 guests on site. No one was stepping on each other, crowds out of control - nothing. Not even either of the 2 pools - and we had 100+ degrees this weekend. The icing on the cake for both of us was the AMAZING fireworks show that was impressive and long lasting, that they put on for the KOA guests, and the sweet wedding present from Amy and Ed congratulating us on our wedding. We will definitely look forward to coming back soon, and look forward to some Next Level Smores with our new friends! Well done guys, no detail left behind!

Yep — add that in. Here's the updated paste-ready version: We stayed at the Shelby/Mansfield KOA Resort for the week in one of the yurts and overall had a good time. The yurt was definitely better than primitive camping, but not quite as nice as staying in a cottage. Still, it was fun and worked well for the trip. There is a lot for kids to do, including mini golf, two swimming pools, three playgrounds, volleyball, tennis courts, and a hot tub. They also have laundry, showers, and a cafe on site. Melissa and Mackenzie were both very nice and helpful. Customer service overall was a little hit or miss, but the stay itself was good. The cafe was okay — not bad, but not something I'd drive out of the way for. Overall, it was a good family campground with plenty to keep the kids busy.
