It was a great stay. We always look forward to visiting this campground. The atmosphere is welcoming. The grounds are WELL kept. Plenty for our kids to do. The owners have done a great job developing and maintaining a great culture with staff, campers, and the overall experience. Anytime friends or family members ask where our favorite place to camp is, we always tell the Shelby KOA

Had a wonderful relaxing time as always staying at the Shelby KOA…. Grounds are kept up meticulously and staff is always friendly and helpful… looking forward to staying again next summer..!!

Was really blown away at everything at this KOA. From the very moment you pull in the first impressions tell you this is a great place. Where do I start, checking in, staff, store, restaurant, campground layout, spot size, upkeep everywhere. The pool area was impressive and immaculate kept, as was everywhere you looked. Was absolutely the best , cleanest well run campground we have ever stayed at

4.5 Stars! The campground is very nice! We loved the layout, amenities, and clean bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What kept me from giving it 5 stars were the playgrounds. We really appreciated the variety, as our kids love moving from one to another. However, a few updates like more mulch in muddy areas, a good cleaning/paint, and some maintenance would make a big difference.

We had an amazing stay at the KOA, and enjoyed all of it's amenities. We stayed in the Western cabin and while it was all we hoped for there were 2 big issues, 1st the water after the 1st night wasn't even Lukewarm in the shower, and the biggest issue was my girlfriend and I gotten bitten up really bad by bugs in the bedroom. Not sure what kind but they were bad. Probably won't go back.

Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Problem is the owner doesn’t understand family friendly. We witnessed a grandmother with 3 children—paying guests—be told that it would be an additional $10/person to use the pool. They walked back to their campsite dejectedly. I guess $40 to swim was not an expected expense.

We have been staying here for years, first in our RV and later in one of the pet-friendly cabins. We love it here.

We had a lot of issues with our cabin. It wasn't clean. I found a half eaten chocolate donut in the corner of the room thar had been there for who knows how long. There were ants everywhere. The futon broke by the screws that hold it up where laying in the middle of the floor when we checked in. Clearly no one even swept the floor before check in. The pool was so full of bugs we couldn't swim

Always enjoy. Staff is pleasant, grounds are clean and well kept. Nicely landscaped. Enjoyed the patio and furniture. Price is a bit more if you get those lots.

This was the cleanest and best campground I’ve ever been to. My daughter invited my husband and I to come. I have never seen a campground so beautifully maintained, we were extremely impressed. I had a conversation with Amy during the tie dye she was so sweet and helpful. The entire staff was very hospitable. You made quite a first impression, congratulations your hard work comes shining through

The staff is first rate! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The campground was very clean and well organized. The kids had a great time in the pool and on the playground, and the crafts and activities kept them off their electronics!!! We will definitely be back as soon as we can.

I had no bugs or rodents in the clean cool cabin, which made my stay. Fridge, Keurig, oven, LOTS of outlets, and I could bring the schnauzer. Mom loved the bathroom, the diner and wine and cheese tasting after the rib dinner. So close to Shelby if you forgot something but feel like 1000 miles from civilization. 1 concern- good chance to unplug, because 1 bar at best. Definitely staying again.

Always enjoy staying at this KOA. The staff is always friendly and helpful; the whole campground is clean and well maintained. Sites are spacious, quiet and easy to access. Pools are great!

We had an RV site and our friends had a tent site. Love that all of the activities are included in the cost of the campsite, felt like a real vacation! Fun for kids and adults

We stayed in a yurt and it was so cozy! We loved the pool and splash pad. We did have slight issues when our neighbors checked in. Be aware in the yurt you can hear the other persons tv and it sounds like you are watching tv yourself. So when they watch tv until 1 am it was very hard to sleep. They also had a dog that barked non stop all night long.

Grounds were beautiful. Bed was awful in cabin. Poison ivy around site. Too many bugs & cobwebs around windows & porch area. Not worth the cost.

Took grandchildren here for the first time and they loved it. We loved it also! So many things for them to do, we felt safe and the park was clean and very well landscaped.

Over half of our group of 11 campsites came down with sinus problems and head aches.took covid tests and not that.dont know if pool waters were the problem.wasnt happy with the kids activities for the price we pay to came there this year.paper plate crafts on all the days we were there.and didn't do activities that were scheduled

Enjoyed our stay. We have been there 3 times now and will be coming back. I was disappointed with and it was not with the KOA but was with other campers. Our spot F04, had a big burnt out grass areas where the previous camper had his carpet laid out and killed the grass. I how they added another fee to this persons reservation. Please enforce your no carpet policy.

We loved our patio site! Enjoyed the amenities - pool, BBQ rib dinner, and the cafe. Campground is very well maintained, and staff was very helpful and friendly. We would come back again.

Awesome campground!!! Our granddaughter had a great time playing water wars games and we all enjoyed both pools. The cafe did an amazing job food was made as we waited and delicious. We also had the rib dinner which too was delicious. Second time here and we’ll be back! Suggestion maybe on Friday night do a campfire with samores to get kids to meet each other as an opening to the weekend.

There is so much to do and you’re provided everything you could need to be able to get comfy in this little paradise, leaving no need to ever leave the campground! My whole family joined this trip, me and mine in a tent, my parents in their camper, and my aunt and cousins in a cabin. Needless to say, we were all met with what was needed to enjoy this time together in comfort!

Had a nice spot . The bathrooms were clean and water pressure good. the grounds looked to be well kept. My only complaint would be the wifi is mostly useless as it kept cutting out. I was unable to check email except very early in the morning.

Our stay was a lot of fun. There is always something to do, from the permanent amenities to the numerous scheduled weekend activities to late night s'mores by a relaxing campfire. We always have a great time at the Shelby/Mansfield KOA.

Absolutely a breathtaking place to stay. They have all the amenities to make sure that you and your family are comfortable and have a great time during your whole entire stay. I would highly recommend this place to anybody and everyone who is looking for a weekend getaway, or even just a quick night to stay.
