Very clean & friendly campground with many activities. Nice store & restaurant. Definitely a good place to stay. Minutes from Cedar Point.

Nice campground with nice facilities. Our only issue was the internet. We paid for the high speed so we could stream on our TV but had numerous issues and had to call Skyweb numerous times . They were able to resolve the issue when we called, but the same issue would occur again. For the price paid to stay there, the campground needs to upgrade their Wifi.

Stayed two nights. Sites are on top of each other and the playground and jumping pillow were weak. Only thing I liked is everyone had a patio with a nice fire pit.

It was a very nice campground, Close to town and very well managed. The pool was great. We would definitely recommend to anybody going to Sandusky.

Front desk staff was very friendly and moved us closer to the water. From the website, I thought we were getting a water view, but only a handful of sites are near the water when parked. It's a short walk to see the water for the rest. Other than that, the patios were awesome, all the staff were friendly and super helpful. Well maintained grounds. I did not visit the bathhouses or pools.

The previous owners were so nice, the new owners not so much. Not at all friendly checking in, asked to not be by the bounce pad as we are 60 year olds with no children, told we should have paid the $20 to choose our sites. Why would you put campers who clearly state their are no children by the playground??

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

When reservations are made online, we aren't always able to gain insight into individual needs during the booking process. As noted in our materials, we are a very family-kid-friendly campground, which may not be the right fit for everyone. Same family-owned and operated for over 50+ yrs.

We love this campground and go every year!

Enjoyed the pool. Staff is very friendly. Have stayed here several times.

Nice campground for the price. I had a couple concerns that could make it better. Letting 12 year olds drive golf carts is the biggest. They are clearly not ready for driving and zooming around the campground all day and evening proved this. Do better! Also, either the landscape crew was off or they just don’t have attention to details. Grass around my patio and fire ring was un kept.

Great place overall but bathrooms were gross. Many times without toilet paper and also observed feces on the bathroom floor.

Sight was like being packed in sardine can, to many crapy looking long stay sights, old washer and driers let outside of bath house. Bath and shower rooms stayed dirty and appeared to only have garbage taken out. Check in staff were very nice and professional.

We had a fabulous site on the end near the dock. Nice and quiet, with access to gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We had our dogs so we used the site's pet corral. The pools were clean and refreshing after a hot day, and the other guests children were very respectful. We highly recommend this location to all, especially families!

My family really enjoyed our stay. We will stay again. The only complaint that I have is the grounds keeper came around and was weed wacking around the empty lots near our site and was throwing rocks that was hitting our camper. My suggestion would to be to wait till all sites are empty before week wacking as a rock could have been thrown through a window.

Had a great stay and will be back. I do however think that the amount of young children riding unattended in golf carts not paying attention is concerning.

Friendly staff. Very nice campsite with beautiful scenery. Excellent stay. 10/10!

Nice patio sites. Beautiful water view. Friendly, helpful staff!

My family enjoyed our stay at the Sandusky/Bayshore KOA. I just have a few comments that I think would rate the KOA higher. I think the bathhouses should be cleaned more often. Also, with quiet time starting at 11pm, I think the pool and basketball courts should be open until 11pm. In the summer time, the underside of the patio furniture needs to be checked for wasps nests, little kids were stung.

Very nice job! The staff was very friendly and helpful! GREAT BALLANCE of fun and plenty of activities vs. quiet peaceful time. This was my first stay at a KOA and have already booked 4 days next month. The staff works very hard on the grounds beautiful and is very professional. Thank you for the adventure and experience!

I gave 2 star because the place was dirty, rules were not followed or enforced. We ordered firewood that never came and the office didn’t believe us when we told them that the next day. We had kids running through our site all day and night till 1am! other campers were loud and blasting music all night so the rules don’t apply here and the workers don’t really care. I will not stay here aga

Always a fun place to stay! Conveniently located close to Cedar Point and other amenities. Clean and well kept.

Very accommodating! Level, medium shade, nice big store with hot pizza and ice cream. Dog parks, Pool, tons of golf carts and lots of happy families there. Close to outside attractions. The train going by was a faint sound.

Overall staff 4, activities 4, facilities maintenance 3 cleanliness of bathroom 2+ men’s toilet bowls -2.
Jul 13, 2025
We were warned up front that it was a city campground. But came anyway. The train is very loud as expected. Also there was construction right near our site. No trees on sites. Dog pen was fine but no grass. The woman who checked us in was friendly. No one else was. Was a bit concerned about theft so kept everything locked up. Never saw the water. Left a day early, losing money.

That you have the nerve to charge extra for that site is laughable. The deck was rotting and a danger. Disgusting. The adjoining site was overgrown with weeds.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You booked one of our economy sites online, which is our most budget-friendly option. No additional fees were added. These sites are clearly described as best suited for smaller RVs and short stays of 1 to 2 nights due to limited space. 300+ sites we maintain our grass regularly, we do apologies.

Wonderful stay. Very clean love the dog sites

We only stayed one night. The pool and bath houses were nice. The sites were a bit disappointIng because they were not level and only partially paved. We had a pull through and did want to unhook our trailer but had to in order to level the trailer. There was very little shade. We did like that all sites had full hookups and some sort of patio. Close to lots of attractions.

Always a great time. We stay here when we go to cedar point.

Wanted to go see Lake Erie so took our camper and headed north. found this KOA located in the perfect location. Park was large, clean and pet friendly. We visited many local restaurants and bars. Fished everyday from various piers.

This review is based solely on our limited use of the campground. We were in town for a baseball tournament down the street at SportsForce Park, so we spent very limited time at the campground. The campground is less than one minute drive away from the sports complex! It is also less than a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point amusement park. We did not use any of the amenities during our visit, but I can tell you the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our site upon arrival and they took care of it for us without hesitation. We travel with a 36ft TT and were in site 114. The sites around us had plenty of room for large RVs plus plenty of room in between sites. The concrete pads with patio furniture were very nice.
