Thank you for another great stay and a fantastic summer. Already looking forward to 2025!

Had not seen the $10 amenity charge ahead of time. Not sure why you have to charge $5 for credit card use either. The cost to stay at a KOA is already high enough. The sites are very un-level. We did have a good time. Did like that the site patios were back to back.

Our stay was great except while we were standing in line to get hot dogs and hamburgers Saturday night, one of the workers ran over my husband's ankle with a golf cart and now it's bruised and swollen. When he told her she hit him, she said she didn't, but 4 of us were standing there and saw it. We are still on vacation and now have to find a walk in clinic to get it looked at.

My family and I had a wonderful time this past weekend. The campground is clean and organized . The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Halloween activities for the kiddos were excellent. Our kids had a blast. The haunted house was great. My kids said it was their favorite place we have taken our camper. We are considering Sandusky KOA as a seasonal home for us in the future. Thank you !

First time we’ve stayed here. It was a quick weekend trip for Halloween activities and kids had a blast! All the staff we encountered were really friendly! Loved the trick or treating, tie dye, the food tent and the haunted house! Appreciated that the bathrooms were clean and the property is well kept. We stayed towards the back and loved the spacious sites and patios! We’ll definitely be back

The staff were accommodating and friendly. They delivered firewood, pick up our trash, offer area suggestions, had fun, family activities all weekend, offered a hot breakfast (minimal fee) and just went above and beyond any other campgrounds we have stayed at this season. We will be back.

Although the staff was very kind, our cabin was very run down and dirty. We were very disappointed in the condition of the cabin, for the price we paid.

Train every 30-60minutes all night makes it difficult to sleep, significant people noise after quiet hours in surrounding area (not fellow campers), gas powered golf carts from 1-3am, flood lights from the car dealership next door. $9 firewood bundles. First and last KOA, I'll be sticking to state parks - much more quiet, secluded, trees and wilderness. KOA felt like camping in a busy parking lot.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for your bad experience, we are very transparent about the train that runs off property, we are a city type campground that has a ton of family's that camp with us during Halloween time, very busy as stated in our descriptions if you are looking for quiet and in nature we are not it.

We had a wonderful time the campground has a nice layout where there are areas that are more private and areas where all the activities are happening ..we chose to be down by the bay and the site was larger and peaceful right near the water beautiful views and worth the extra bit of money for us …the staff was very nice and helpful during our stay we will definitely be back in the summer

Fantastic as always. The cabin was clean as was the bathhouse. Everyone who works here are always friendly and ready to help any way they can. We'll be back for our last trip next weekend and then start the countdown to next summer.

One of my favorite RV parks I’ve visited. Clean spacious sites, easy in, easy out. Beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Was a nice place to camp for a short fall weekend trip. Being a city campground plenty to do in and around the Sandusky area. Campground description was accurate with the train that does start running at approximately 4 AM every morning. I wish the camp store was open so we could’ve ordered firewood Not just certain days but every day.

Stayed in R cabins (trailer), little dated/dusty but, we're camping right? staff are 110% awesome. The kids had fun trick or treating. We participated in passing out as well. There was around 50 sites participating and we were told because they were booked max to expect 50 kids. I did not experience any of the bugs. This camp ground stands up to the KOA Holiday standards. PLENTY for kids to do

We love your KOA. Clean, fun, just perfect!

An absolutely fabulous stay! The campground is set up beautifully and the staff is very friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

It was very easy check-in/out, the rental options were great, breakfast was good, the store had small items we needed, the cabin was very clean and you brought more wood right to my site. I couldn’t have asked have much more than that.

Staff and grounds AMAZING! Thank you for the great memories AGAIN!

Check in was easy & fast. Andrew & the entire staff was helpful & informative. Wood was delivered to our site which was awesome. The train is frequent but wasn't deafening & was, at times, relaxing. Lots of kids & pets during our stay and everyone was friendly and pleasant. Was super close to Cedar Point, although the traffic going to Cedar Pt. was slow (a Cedar Point issue, not KOA). Great stay.

We came with a large group of RVs, we had so much fun, the activities for the weekend were great! I love that it wasn’t a rowdy campground or smelled like heavy marijuana (koa Temperance MI smells so bad) so that was great. I love that everyone has dogs and most followed rules. Our site was very clean but the lights from the dealership were awful,I know there’s nothing that can be done on KOAs

We stayed in a cabin for Halloweekend. Lots of activities going on. We enjoyed our stay, the cabin was fine. The only issue was dishes were dirty, the pan in the stove was filthy (still is), the dish drainer is disgusting, plates were greasy feeling. The cabin itself was pretty clean, some cobwebs in corners but clean. This would not deter me from staying again. Things should be checked out.

This was our second stay. Halloweekend was a blast! The haunted house was better than I could have even imagined! Could have done without the 8 am text messages when trying to sleep in, then another a few minutes later. Other than that, we had a blast both times we have camped

Great location, fun amenities for the kids. Enjoyed the trick/treat and haunted house. Definitely would come back when we go back to Cedar Point.

Wanted to go see Lake Erie so took our camper and headed north. found this KOA located in the perfect location. Park was large, clean and pet friendly. We visited many local restaurants and bars. Fished everyday from various piers.

This review is based solely on our limited use of the campground. We were in town for a baseball tournament down the street at SportsForce Park, so we spent very limited time at the campground. The campground is less than one minute drive away from the sports complex! It is also less than a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point amusement park. We did not use any of the amenities during our visit, but I can tell you the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our site upon arrival and they took care of it for us without hesitation. We travel with a 36ft TT and were in site 114. The sites around us had plenty of room for large RVs plus plenty of room in between sites. The concrete pads with patio furniture were very nice.
