heat wave. Temps over 100 with humidity. not enough large trees for shade. we were in site 304. last week of June 2025. stayed a full week. smell of burning rubber every day. the dog waste bin was full of poop before we arrived so we couldn't sit outside because of the awful smell. seagulls screaming all night. KOA did warn it wasn't a quiet place. only 400 characters allowed so cant write more.

Great location and Kampground with amenities. We stayed there for 2 days and went to Cedar Point. Time to cedar point is 8 minutes away and not too much traffic! definitely recommend this place for future trips.

Way too expensive. Unlevel narrow site. Train every hour went by in both directions. No shade anywhere.

Greet campground wonderful view. Can’t wait to come back!

The reason my rating isn't a 5 is due to sewer connection. It's about 2' above ground level. Maybe it's done that way due to potential bay flooding but it's difficult to get your waste down the sewer hose. Each time we emptied we had to manually maneuver the hose to get it to drain. Not a great chore to begin with, especially if your neighbor is eating breakfast while you are feet away from them.

Great stay as always! Can't wait to come back!

Our stay was quiet during the week however as more campers arrived for the weekend so did the noise and unruly children-and yes they were driving golf carts all over the campground. The pools were small in comparison to the campground size, would be nice if there was an adult pool somewhere on site. Overall just didn’t meet my expectations.

Great location, great amenities, great staff. Only stayed one night, but inclined to return for a longer stay.

Always enjoyful

Very pleasant stay. Very busy park with lots of action on the weekends, due to close proximity to Cedar Point Park. Staff were all around and taking care of arrivals and lots of activities for the kids. Some spots were a bit close to each other when slide outs and awnings were out, but nothing too bad.

Staff was very helpful!

Wonderful stay. Lots of kids activities. Clean campground. Very friendly staff

Quick overnight stay for heading to Cedar Point. We chose the cheapest site type, pull through with wooden patio, the patio was a bit high for my popup camper. Obviously there may be some things I’d do differently to try to get that propped up higher. Overall, I didn’t care for the wooden patios.

We loved our stay!! Very nice work crew and so many fun things for our kiddos to do the only thing that was not so good was the men’s bathroom my husband said it was gross

A lot of activities for kids, some of the sites are really close together. You just have to do your homework and research sites.

We did not stay log because we were playing at Cedar point, but our time at the park was great.

Awesome staff. We had 70 mph winds and a driving rain during our last trip. Their crew was out cleaning and fixing up things as soon as it was safe for them to do so. Nice site sizes. The place is kept very clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were ok. The pad and fire ring were nice but you're in the sun all day due to the direction you have to park and no tree cover unless you have a seasonal site. Make sure to bring an extra pop-up canopy. Just so happened we stayed when it was 90+ all weekend so both pools were packed. The store had your basic camp supplies.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are very sorry you had a bad experience with us during the heat wave. We do advertise that we are a city type campground. ALL our deluxe RV sites have table & chairs with umbrella, rocker seating for 2, concrete pad w/fire pit. We cannot control the 94 degree weather so we do apologize.

We enjoyed our stay, but your representative Sandy set the tone for our enjoyment. You know you've done well when picking a stop when your husband leans in to say, "this is a great place".
Jun 22, 2025
My only complaint is that kids were driving golf carts without parent supervision

Clean campground with nice sites and amenities.

The campground was clean and well maintained. Communication was good before, during, and after our stay. Quiet hours were respected, but we weren’t there over the weekend. Location has a close proximity to Cedar Point.

Place was well taken care of the may flies and bugs a bit rough but it's expected on the bay too.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, campsites clean with nice furniture and umbrellas, a few nice atypical amenities such as the air berm were great. Where it failed were the bathhouses which were infested with bugs and did not appear to be cleaned which I would expect from a KOA at this price point. Trees would be nice too.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for your bad experience - We do bring attention to the Mayflies and Muffle Heads that 2 weeks out of the season come in huge swarms at night from the lake - We explain this in our check in rules & bathrooms have posted signs warning. We do our best to clean up but its a war for 2 weeks.

Picked a weekend that had some weather with winds. Also was introduced to some kind of insects that pretty much saturated the side of our motorhome and vehicle. We stayed four days and had a premium site near the lake. Didn’t really find it that premium. Not sure it should be classified that way. Misleading.

The wooden deck that was on the site was way to narrow, one had to be very careful when getting up from the picnic table it was very easy for your foot to slide off the edge, even the site that had the patio sets you had to watch the legs on the chairs so they didn't fall off the edge.

Wanted to go see Lake Erie so took our camper and headed north. found this KOA located in the perfect location. Park was large, clean and pet friendly. We visited many local restaurants and bars. Fished everyday from various piers.

This review is based solely on our limited use of the campground. We were in town for a baseball tournament down the street at SportsForce Park, so we spent very limited time at the campground. The campground is less than one minute drive away from the sports complex! It is also less than a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point amusement park. We did not use any of the amenities during our visit, but I can tell you the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our site upon arrival and they took care of it for us without hesitation. We travel with a 36ft TT and were in site 114. The sites around us had plenty of room for large RVs plus plenty of room in between sites. The concrete pads with patio furniture were very nice.
