Tent camping spots should be known that they are located right on a city street with city busses all night long

The jury is out! This is my second time here at Salt Lake City KOA. The first time was on June 7. When I checked in, the person gave me the smallest and unleveled site possible. The same when I checked in July 19. They gave me a site that is also not level and couldn’t fit my trailer and tow vehicle. They were hanging out on both front and back. I hope it is not because of my skin color!

Upon arriving, we were greeted, and the check-in process was nice and smooth. The only issue we had was that the lady who checked us in after asking us where we were from replied with a snarky “eww”. That offended us. The last thing that I will add is that the grass was overgrown, and in my opinion should’ve been mowed.

3.5 Stars. Great for one night. We were asked to rate based solely on the koa itself so here it is- it’s clean, well kept. Most guests seem to stop and stay overnight. Rec center had game room but half of the games were out of order and broken. Wasps took over outdoors and rec areas, I understand it’s outside but made it hard to be outside. Warning would be nice. Surrounding area is okay.

Really nice park with full concrete pad and picnic area for our pull thru site. Well stocked store with great staff. Free coffee and pancakes every morning. Clean laundry room. Very hot during our stay (90’s), but good shade with trees at every site.

We arrived and let our dog out after a long trip. Unfortunately, the tree he peed on was covered in sap! The ground around it at our site was also COVERED. He got sap in between all of his paws. All of his hair was clumped together. I spent the next couple of hours soaking his paws trying to get it out. Lots of trees at this campground are like that.WARN people. I thought it was a very well maintained park. Lots of games for kids. Good dog park. The bathrooms were clean. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms in the morning were piping hot so when you get out of the shower and get your clothes on, you needed another shower!

Campground was a beautiful place to stay, one the best looking KOA we have stayed in. Easy access from interstate. Plenty of shade, lots were concrete and level. We also had room for our tow vehicle and campground was nice, peaceful and quiet. We will definitely stay here again soon.

Hard-working host and everything is clean to perfection. Michael The security guard even allowed me to start washing my clothes before opening and offered me a cup of coffee. Sandy was another great example of caring individual that gave me a ride to the store to pick up some ice so I can avoid heat truck. Thank you, thank you.

Very helpful and friendly staff, even with busy check ins. Site roads and sites in our area were narrow. Our site was not long enough to stay connected, which we prefer for overnight stops. Bathroom/showers were good. Great location for exploring Salt Lake City.

We had a great short stay. Staff was welcoming. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Dog washing station was super at the end of a two week trip hiking elsewhere in Utah. Would book again.

I didn’t know what to expect but the campground was safe and clean. There was some early morning bus traffic but the accommodations and amenities were very nice.

Park was really nice plenty of shade to protect you from the sun and heat the pool was really nice and play of play areas for my kids to get energy out at. The dog was station is an amazing idea but I’d recommend having staff go over and clean the area as it wasn’t in the best of shape when I washed my dachshund lots of left over garbage and it needs a good disinfectant

We were on a road trip visiting 5 states traveling w/3 Labs Retrievers. We stayed at 4 different KOA's. Salt Lake City was our least favorite. Large park that, I would not call pet friendly but pet tolerant. K9 Kamp area was too small for number of dogs in the park. Laundry was not open until 9AM. Our space was very tight due to park utilities. A KOA park, should do better, especially for the pric

CONS: We were placed at a hookup spot closest to the front of the property/street, so it was very noisy (we have tent beds). Unsure if towards the back is quieter. We heard the train every hour or two, every big truck, every motorcycle, and every other loud car. They could benefit from big tall concrete walls to help with privacy as well as noise. PROS: Everything else about this KOA is exceptional. The bathrooms and showers were clean and nice quality, screaming hot showers. A big KOA so they put a second large set of showers and bathrooms in the middle. Trees and street lights. Nice place to walk around. Plenty of things for the kids to do: some games and outdoor activities in the mid section by the second bathrooms, playground and pool in the front, and an arcade style room in the front. A really nice dog section with dog washing station and a fenced area for them to play. Hot tub! Great hours for the playground (fenced inside the pool area), pool, and hot tub 9am-9pm. Great walkability and nearby restaurants and things to walk to.

Just stayed one night, traveling through, have stayed at a lot of koa and I have to say this one is outstanding. Besides being clean it had extras such as a dog wash station, fully stocked store, super clean restrooms. Highly recommend
