Campground looks run down. Site was difficult for large rig to pull into because of large trees/trunks at the corners - very difficult to manoeuvre around. Our “75 ft” site was not able to accommodate our 45’ motorhome plus our tow vehicle. Requested to park in one of the numerous empty tent sites behind us but told no - park in lot down the row. They were expecting tons of tenters in Feb?

All the employees around the park are very nice!! Clean and quiet park, winter prices are very reasonable, Just wish summer prices were a little more affordable.

Too many long-term tenants which leads to the appearances of somewhat of a Gypsy camp (No offense intended) with possessions scattered around, poorly constructed skirting, multiple broken vehicles parked around and folks parking their U-Haul trucks in our assigned camp site. Well managed campgrounds can accommodate long term stays, this was not the case here.

Friendly staff great location

Quiet off the highway. Near Haystack Reservoir and the rent kayaks and SUPs in the summer. Nice swimming pool. Could use a little more maintenance and regulate the long term campers from appearing to homestead.

Great location to stop

Pulled in just after dark. Site 52. Level and easy to back into. Goat heads everywhere, our dog couldn’t walk on our site without getting them in her feet. And a dog somewhere nearby barked intermittently all night and into the morning. Several unloved in campers that looked like people were working on them.

I am surprised at the differences in standards at various KOA campgrounds. Some are spotless and others look like low income trailer parks. I don’t mean that unkindly to anyone, but I prefer clean and well kept sites. While the lady in the office was very nice, the campground was full of what appeared to be full time residents with plenty of clutter around their RV’s. We probably won’t be b

This RV park has the rural feel. The sites are not paved, but they are fairly level. The park is clean and has convenient amenities. Consider ordering the pizza, it is good and it is delivered right to your site.

We camped in a teardrop trailer. Clean bathrooms, large well equipped store Friendly staff. We were in a pull through water/electric site that was mostly goat head puncture vines. I'm a 76 yr old disabled Vet and had to try and carry our 60 pound lab to the gravel area so she could use the dog park. She refused to leave the trailer because of the goat heads in her feet.

There is ZERO lights at night! Was shocked when I went to take the dog out so make sure you have a flashlight. New gal at office was great.

Will not stay at this KOA again It is in pretty poor condition. Staff was not very friendly when I checked in it seemed like I she thought didn't understand the rules. Cleaning Staff not much better I was 3 minutes early of cleaning time and she let in one person then told me to wait. Dog park had over flowing poop can.

cleaning bathroom at 9 am is one of the worst times that should happen after morning rush leaves but before new arrivals. Also we stayed in back side along fence 54 and it was full of goat head weeds and they got into and onto everything. What was good when we reported a dog loose, staff took care of it right away and came around to make sure it was taken care of.

This KOA was perfect for our 2 night stay. The staff was so nice and helpful. We loved that we could order Pizza and it was delivered hot right to our site. Our view looked at the farmlands. Hope to be able to come back to the area someday and definitely will stay here !

The photos on the KOA website about this campground are very deceiving. I will say the grounds were clean, the sites themselves were weed covered and the picnic table at our site was stained, chipping of paint and in marginal shape at best. The worst part were the full time campers with all belongings, aka junk, surrounding their sites. It reminded me of the homeless camps around Portland.

Centrally located just so many wonderful locations. Very nice and clean, the staff were very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that is camping in the area.

We were placed next to a homeless family. The children were fine, but the adults yelled at the children and came and went in the middle of the night both nights. This is unacceptable for a place that we paid $70 a night for two nights to stay in. Our campsite was not clean, there was trash on the ground and in the roadway behind our campsite. Staff didn't pick up the trash in the road.

It was okay. This is the first time that we stayed at a KOA. I was surprised to find how close together the sites are and how there is hardly any privacy between the sites. The staff were very friendly. I was also surprised to see that there are people that stay there permanently. It's doubtful that we will stay at a KOA again unless we have to because they are about twice as much as others.

I think the only thing to do different would be to change the bathroom cleaning time to noon or one. Everything was awesome. The spots were clean the fire pits were great. The bathroom clean the store personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

Pups and I wanted to get out and enjoy 1 last tent camping experience for the year before the temps turned too chilly and the weekend in October was just pristine with 74°. When I had asked a coworker who lives in Culver her thoughts on this spot she kinda just gave me a 'eh, it's ok' shrug and look and tried to find somethings to say about it. The reviews mentioned about all the burrs in the pups 🐾 🐾 around the camper sections, welp, they are pretty much all over the place. The tent camping, thankfully, there were only 3 different tenters, otherwise, I wouldn't want to be here when each spot is filled up, the quarters are tight and there really isn't any defining area to provide a get-away feel. Also, the tenting area is right by the store, which is great for bathroom convenience, but the lights on all night could disturb one's sleep if they don't have a way to cover their eyes. Altho summer hours with all the perks were done for the season, if you're a kid, there were still some things they could do for fun, 1 seemed to be the playground was always with kids and they played together a lot which was good to hear them get along great. There were horseshoe pits but ya could see they'd not been used in some time. The volleyball net was down, but again, could be a summer thing. There's a treasure sifting thing that seemed interesting to find certain rocks or gems and some kids rented these funky pedal low rider vehicles that they quickly gave up on cuz mum kept having to push them to get them going. As for nature, however, we tried to get out to do more than just walk around the campsite a lot, but it's so full of the burrs, it wasn't enjoyable for my 2 big pups. We're hikers and explorers but this isn't the spot for that. So we just chilled, read and rested and since it was quiet due to the time of year, it was nice. The staff is all super friendly and helpful, coming around to give puppy pets and homemade puppy jerky, brought over firewood, helped with great convo to spend some time. If I were a kid, I bet summertime is great with the ice cream social, the pool, and even more kiddos with whom to play. If you're an adult who wants to just come out end of season to just chill, this might fit the bill. The other 2 tenters, they were just passing thru and that seemed to work well for them for the 1 night stay. Oohh, the doggie area. Eh, it's a place for them to be off-leash to do their business, but just like anywhere, it's the others that don't pick up after their critters that dismantles the good vibes. The area is tiny, not shaded, altho they put up a sunscreen over the seated area, and even tho not as many, it has the burrs, too.

I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff and the amount of activities and amenities. There were nightly ice cream socials, a $6 breakfast piled high, pizza delivered to the campsite, a fully-stocked store, a clean pool, nice playground, and trash was dumped regularly. This isn't a ritzy place, but they sure do care about the experience and we will be back.

We stopped here on a cross country trip. Wifi and other services good. Enjoyed the 12$ breakfast which includes chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage pancakes and hash browns. Safe family friendly campground. Close to state parks , out in the wilderness but 20 minutes from a walmart. Would recommend.
