We arrived on one of the hottest days of the year and the park was packed!!! It was so full in fact, and everyone was running their AC, that the park lost power for a while. This particular park seemed to cater especially to young families with children. They had numerous activities and seemed to do their best to accommodate the children. We are an older couple, so it was a little loud for us.

The staff is very friendly. The grounds were good for camping. It’s not glamping but a solid nice place to stay!

It was the second year in a row that we have stayed here during the same time period. This KOA’s electrical system simply cannot keep up with the demand of a hot summer day! Blackouts during the day, last year they asked us not to use both air conditioners, because their system couldn’t handle the demand. The staff were all polite, courteous and professional. The venue was clean!

It is always hard for us to stay in an organized campground, but the heat made it impossible to sleep without cooled air (and longer showers were a luxury) . Thanks for your friendly assistance!

Fantastic staff! Loved the ice cream!

Great place to stay. Even in the crazy heat. Would stay there again

Friendly, last minute accommodations, quiet, and fast check-in. Other than a crazy dust storm that happened just as we got dinner ready and on the picnic table, it was good. The picnic tables were dirty and wished I had brought a tablecloth. We used the restrooms as we were heading out in the am and they were very clean.

Once again, a very pleasant stay.

The Redmond/Central Oregon KOA is actually near Culver, Oregon 17 miles north of Redmond. It is surrounded by farmland away from highway traffic, trains, etc. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and playground are kid-friendly. The campground and facilities are clean and well-kept. I would stay here again.

Stayed two nights in early July. Very hot which made the pool something to look forward to. We had no issues. Owners are very nice. Ice cream Friday and Saturday evenings is lots of fun. We'll be back next year!

They need to livestock in some power upgrades.

No 50 amp service as expected. Electrical panel had water misting on it to keep cool and not blow the breaker which did anyway twice. Grass area is in terrible condition. Breakfast was good and plenty of food. Id choose a state park or other rv park next time.

Nice stay love all the activities for the kids. The only complaint is the strong smell of cleaner in the store and bathrooms. The smell is overwhelming and nauseating.

Love this location. There are not enough words of appreciation for the manager. I arrived a day earlier than my husband and was having issues. Kim not only helped me herself but even recruited help. I didn't even have to ask, she noticed and just offered. All the staff are very friendly. Camp ground is very clean & amazing customer service. Also delicious pizza a must try. The kids have a bla

Nice family friendly campground. Only two negatives are () the rv dump is built in a manner that when parked over it to dump there is little to no drop for the sewer to flow down hill (2) the internet was next to nothing. Hard to even download a book to my tablet.

Nice but a lot of full timers live there and their sites are cluttered , looks messy.
Jul 13, 2024
Campground was beautifully maintained. Camp staff was very friendly. Had a great stay.

Lost electricity every single day. My site #54 had water and electrical connections on the wrong side of the site. The grounds were placed close to other recreational sites In all I would suggest to others to try this campground at another time of year unless they enjoy hot dust and being inconvenienced by power outages and potential evacuations.

Quiet, rural setting, great staff.

Very helpful. Clean campground. Will stay here next time I am in the area.

Power was out three times, but can't blame that on the KOA. Would be nice if entire campground was 50 amp., and full hook ups. The dump station is very poorly designed. The staff is great.

Great views and plenty of activities. Playground, pool, yard games were all great. Staff was very attentive and pizza service was a huge bonus!

Super staff Breakfast and ice cream a huge bonus. Bathrooms were nice and roomy. Used by people coming out of pool so the floor was always wet and slippery. Very very warm while we were there. Not that that was their fault but the power kept going out so no air conditioning. They really need to fix the electrical problems. Would stay again but not in the summer unless electric is fixed.

Great campground, clean, courteous staff and lots going on for families and kids. Its located close to town and the parks in the area. Loved the icecream nights, generous servings for the price. The glow parade was great for the kids and the activities afterwards for the kids was wonderful, too. We would definitely stay here again.

The amenities and staff are wonderful. Losing the power every 15 minutes when it’s 100+ degrees out is not conducive for camping with pets. It’s expensive to camp there, so the electrical needs to be updated from the 70’s so it’s in working order. We left early from our trip due to the power and electricity issues.

Lovely stay with our two doggies.

This was a great stay!! We loved the location and remoteness, but really loved the welcoming from the staff. Campground was clean and orderly and my favorite part? 2 sewer hook-ups!! Thank you!! Sites were large and easy to get to. We also took advantage of the breakfast and it was amazing. We will definitely keep this on the "must go back" list!!

Great people working, Clean, fun & great atmosphere

Reserved specific spaces 5 months ahead of stay for a group. Two weeks ahead of our stay I found out we were all moved and spread out across the campground (bad part). Staff was able to move us again prior to arrival. We ended up together again ( really good). Common facilities appear upgraded. Site size/space between fellow campers is better than average. Kids parade Saturday night was cute

Clean, friendly and accomodating to my travel needs. Off the interstate, so road noise is minor. Great showers an wonderful extra events like weekend breakfast and ice cream socials. For the money, the value is awesome.

Pups and I wanted to get out and enjoy 1 last tent camping experience for the year before the temps turned too chilly and the weekend in October was just pristine with 74°. When I had asked a coworker who lives in Culver her thoughts on this spot she kinda just gave me a 'eh, it's ok' shrug and look and tried to find somethings to say about it. The reviews mentioned about all the burrs in the pups 🐾 🐾 around the camper sections, welp, they are pretty much all over the place. The tent camping, thankfully, there were only 3 different tenters, otherwise, I wouldn't want to be here when each spot is filled up, the quarters are tight and there really isn't any defining area to provide a get-away feel. Also, the tenting area is right by the store, which is great for bathroom convenience, but the lights on all night could disturb one's sleep if they don't have a way to cover their eyes. Altho summer hours with all the perks were done for the season, if you're a kid, there were still some things they could do for fun, 1 seemed to be the playground was always with kids and they played together a lot which was good to hear them get along great. There were horseshoe pits but ya could see they'd not been used in some time. The volleyball net was down, but again, could be a summer thing. There's a treasure sifting thing that seemed interesting to find certain rocks or gems and some kids rented these funky pedal low rider vehicles that they quickly gave up on cuz mum kept having to push them to get them going. As for nature, however, we tried to get out to do more than just walk around the campsite a lot, but it's so full of the burrs, it wasn't enjoyable for my 2 big pups. We're hikers and explorers but this isn't the spot for that. So we just chilled, read and rested and since it was quiet due to the time of year, it was nice. The staff is all super friendly and helpful, coming around to give puppy pets and homemade puppy jerky, brought over firewood, helped with great convo to spend some time. If I were a kid, I bet summertime is great with the ice cream social, the pool, and even more kiddos with whom to play. If you're an adult who wants to just come out end of season to just chill, this might fit the bill. The other 2 tenters, they were just passing thru and that seemed to work well for them for the 1 night stay. Oohh, the doggie area. Eh, it's a place for them to be off-leash to do their business, but just like anywhere, it's the others that don't pick up after their critters that dismantles the good vibes. The area is tiny, not shaded, altho they put up a sunscreen over the seated area, and even tho not as many, it has the burrs, too.

I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff and the amount of activities and amenities. There were nightly ice cream socials, a $6 breakfast piled high, pizza delivered to the campsite, a fully-stocked store, a clean pool, nice playground, and trash was dumped regularly. This isn't a ritzy place, but they sure do care about the experience and we will be back.

We stopped here on a cross country trip. Wifi and other services good. Enjoyed the 12$ breakfast which includes chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage pancakes and hash browns. Safe family friendly campground. Close to state parks , out in the wilderness but 20 minutes from a walmart. Would recommend.
