Worst KOA ever! Stuck us near a fulltimer’s junk site, raised patio falling apart, wife got rushed by 2 unleashed dogs, as she got our leashed Husky out of truck. If any injuries had resulted, dog owner, this KOA & Corporate would be dealing with lawsuit. Moved to another site and 2 more dogs roaming! Nobody follows pet rules. Hated every second at this place. Every time we stay here, there seems to have been new and better improvements! Nice mattress in the Kabin, better trash can, lots of fans, etc. Great staff and they really keep an eye on things and make sure no one is bending or breaking any rules, which is greatly appreciated! Bathrooms always clean, too. One of our very favorite KOAs . . .

staff was very kind and helpful. the place was always clean. we enjoyed are stay and all the activities you had to offer. the glow parade was a big hit along with the ice-cream social. we will be back again. thank you so very much..

Great campground with lots going on for all ages. Friendly and helpful staff. Pizza foodtruck available till 9 pm and breakfast for a reasonable price!

Incredible staff. The facilities were clean, parking was easy, and it was not hard to find the campground even late at night. Theres a general store at the campground, and really great amenities for camping.

The people were nice at check in. The place is very dusty and has thorns that stick in your shoes and dogs paws, beware. The park is very clean otherwise. It’s off the road and a bit away from Culver and Madras.

The place looks great. The people are friendly. I am glad I chose to stay here. The staff went out of their way to speak with me and get to know me. The food is good. I didn’t have a problem with anything. The showers are awesome. I will be staying here any chance I get.

Sites are beautiful and very clean. Staff were amazing, very friendly. The camp hosts make you feel like family. Only downside is the power would go off from time to time, but we got used to it.

This was a two night stop/rest on a twelve day tour of central Oregon from I84 to California. If we wouldn’t have had overnight reservations elsewhere we would have stayed longer. We talked all the way home about making it a future “destination”! The staff were all great and the facilities seemed very well maintained.

Rented a "Deluxe Cabin" for two nights. This was an old Park Model. Most things were either broken or falling apart, starting with the front and back doors, chairs on the deck that you couldn't sit on, kitchen faucet that leaked all over and had severely water damaged the kitchen cabinets, the list goes on. The AC was a small window unit that was way too small to cool the unit, it was a sweat box.

Everything was wonderful except the fact that they fill you up with food and then close the bathrooms for an hour for 8am to 10am. Got yelled at for not being able to wait any longer. You would think they would clean at a more appropriate time of day or have another set of bathrooms.

Love the location, amenities, views. Calls/check in with staff were very friendly. We had approval to stay in our camp sites til 1-2. Only issue, we were confronted by an employee, telling us that was not ok, and we talked to the wrong people. Check out was 11 (it's 12), and sites were reserved after us (they were not). Very rude, confrontational, and didn't even want to hear what we had to say.

We had an exceptional time. Our granddaughter loved the glow light parade and the ice cream social. The young lady that led the group made it fun for everyone! All employees, from the front desk to the folks that cleaned the campground, were cordial and helpful. Hope to stay again!

I was not impressed by the attendant at the campground. It was very hot, there was no shade, we were on motorcycles and we are seniors. We could not park as usual bye our stuff. So we got got told , move your bikes or we will remove them for you. Not impressed

Great place with fun for all on Lake Chinook and Haystack Res. The pool was very relaxing and well kept. Great place for families. Locals love this place. The ice cream was great too. I give this a 4 because of price, which was steep considering we didn’t have full hookup.

Our daughter in law had never stayed at a KOA. It was such a great experience for her. Expect many trips from her in the future.

Campground was good. Access to and from Highway 97 very dangerous. Definitely need a turn in/out lane. Enjoyed our stay at the park.

Stayed at a cabin overnight during a solo motorcycle tour, reserved via the KOA website. Clean facilities & friendly staff.

We come to this KOA often, it’s the perfect location for easy, quiet and beautiful. The sunrise and sunsets daily are amazing, the campground is clean and well maintained, and the staff is so friendly! We’ll be back again as soon as we can!

We've been staying there for over 10 years. We go once a summer and camp in a tent. The bathrooms are kept clean, the area is beautiful and they are very attentive to the property.

Door to cabin 57 did not operate correctly. It made closing the door very difficult.

The manager was so awesome. We had issues with our motor home and she was so understanding with our situation. If we are ever in that area again, we would stay there. Loved her and by the way, the campground is wonderful for kids. Sue Weaver

I highly recommend making a large group site. We enjoyed our stay. It was great. We had a big group and it would have made it easier to have one big site. Maybe away from others? Our fellow neighbors didn’t approve of us staying up after “quiet” hours just having conversations. It was too loud for their likings. Highly enjoyed our trip though!

We were in town for a family wedding so didn’t spend a lot of time at the campground; however, we were very impressed with all the activities provided. Took advantage of the ice cream social and breakfast. This would be a great place for families!

We really enjoyed the time in the teepee. However to a couple that stayed in a cabin saying it was dirty I did not respond. However, when we packed our things and loaded the cars we went in for a last check. When I looked under the bed I couldn't believe the dirt. So I have to say I was surprised!!! That would make me think twice about staying again. Otherwise the rest was good.

Found this place off the RV Life app and we have stayed at quite a few KOA's over the last 4 years and this one is tucked away off the road so it doesn't get the traffic noise that some have. It has everything you expect from a KOA with the addition of beer and wine in the store. It had great WiFi and laundry ($2.00 wash $2.00 dry) they serve a breakfast on Saturday mornings. Also an ice cream social in the afternoon. Everyone we had the pleasure to meet were awesome, from the checkin with Kim, Krysten to all of the others that had suggestions on nearby things to do or see. The park was getting ready for swim season and they were applying a coating to the cool-deck to help keep it cooler. It will be open for Memorial day weekend. Went to Crooked River do a little trail hike, the area is well clean and is only $5.00 for a day pass to park. Smith Park was also nearby in Terribone and was also $5.00 for parking. A Safeway is in Madras (@ 17 min drive north) Walmart is in Redmond (@ 20 min drive south)

I have never been so attached to a place like this koa. The staff are super friendly and make you feel like family. It's clean and they are always improving the facility to all accommodations. The owner and the manager are always accommodating. I highly recommend this koa. We will miss this place.

4.5 Stars (round up to 5)! My family of 4 had a great experience at this KOA. We stayed in the teepee, originally planned for 3 nights, but it was either super cold from the openness or super hot from the wood stove. Customer service was excellent - after one night I talked to the manager and was able to switch to an available cabin without any fuss. The main reason why we stayed there was for the teepee experience and the play area (it was mid replacement and not usable). The teepee would be worth it if the lows stayed above 55F. Note: the teepee doesn't not come with power - we came prepared with usb power packs. Pros: clean showers/bathrooms Kitchen sink in the main building to wash dishes Accommodating management Location close to Bend & Smith Rock Teepee was a neat experience Cons: play area under construction (it will be great) Lots of sites packed into a small area Parts of the area/facilities are looking tired Overall, I'd stay there again without hesitation, but the cabin next time.
