Peaceful and away from traffic and a quiet place with great staff great spaces between sites and close to shopping and restaurants I would highly recommend

Probably the best KOA we have stayed at with the most amenities and activities—good selection of adult beverages and even a pizza parlor on the property. We never tried it, but frequent campers told us it's very good. It's just too bad that we didn't have better weather, but we may be back before the year is over! Highly recommend. Oh, lastly, the pool was great and at a perfect temperature!!

It is a great campground with lot of activities for the kids. Friendly staff, very clean facilities, ample site. Bathroom are clean, daily trash pickups (several times a day). Camp store well assorted. Only downside: arcade machines needs an upgrade. 100 recommended. Will return soon!

Wonderful staff and very helpful. The property is very nice. We look forward to staying here again and again and again. This will be our go to spot for camping. The only thing I would like to say is for them to have the bird poop cleaned off the chairs before we arrive. Four out of 6 chairs had bird poop. It was on the part of the chairs that your back goes against and the arm rest of the two.

A little piece of Paradise on Matagorda Bay. Lots of activities. Loved all the areas to sit & look over the bay. Very friendly staff and clean facilities.

Always a pleasure to stay @ the PL KOA. Our grandson loved the crafts, horses that came for a visit, the jump pad and the splash pad. Never a lack of things to do for the young or old.

We love this little secret place. The grounds are well kept. The location is perfect. We love all the new upgraded amenities. Great customer service. We brought children for the first time and really enjoyed the facilities. Great place for kids.

Nice clean KOA camp, Victoria was a very pleasant person a great asset for your operation. Makes a great pizza too. Our stay at no fault of the camp but our 1st night was very scary with the wind storm that came up out of no where. Being on the bay I'm sure it is windy and breezy at times but a nice setting to view. A place to return for another visit.

Sadly there are always going to be obnoxious campers who don’t understand the etiquette involved with camping in a campground as opposed to camping on your own private spot. I must say the folks in charged handled our situation the very best way they could to save our stay. The Saturday night live music was a highlight of our stay in Port Lavaca.

They park was nice, clean well maintained..there was a group of 3 campers that arrived and created chaos…kids running everywhere, through others lots along with an old man that had no class at all. The campground get together with live music was fabulous!! 5 stars on that evening!!

Beautiful campground. Staff we dealt with was kind and helpful. Lots of activities to do. Restrooms were always clean. Laundry facilities were great. Pizza was yummy! Thus is a great place to relax and have fun!

We had a great maiden voyage in our travel trailer, most relaxing stay we’ve had while camping. This park was quiet and scenic while there was also plenty to do!

the place was very clean and very well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the weather one day was not quite up to par, but our other two days of stay were quite exceptional. This place is a hidden gem. would definitely like to return someday.

Almost everything was great and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. A couple of comments: the window units do not really make it cool enough to sleep, even in mildly cool weather, especially in the loft. We were unable to get water boiling in the provided pot on the stovetop. There are a few concerning soft spots on the floor (not a complaint just a note). Missing tv remote, b

Melissa at the front office was amazingly helpful patient and courteous . The KOA is beautiful at Matagorda Bay and very kid and pet friendly. Great access to fishing at their pier and there are various activities for the kiddos too! I’m looking forward to a long term stay!

We only stayed overnight on our way to South Padre Island. I would like to come back and enjoy more time here. It seemed like a nice park. It was off the beaten path a bit and unfortunately we arrived late after dark. Nothing negative to say. Hope to be back.

Stayed here overnight in a class B. It is a beautiful and peaceful spot. Did laundry in their excellent machines. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

A very quiet, serene location with great facilities and games. Sites are spread apart so it does not feel crowded. The water view is what makes this a special location. For an extended family visit - the cabins right next to individual RV sites provide a great combination. If you like fishing, this is the place to be.

Spent two weeks at Matagorda Bay KOA. Staff was very friendly and the camp ground was extremely well maintained. Nice showers and laundry facility. Campground is the quietest one I have ever stayed at! Could have more organized activities. I was there over Superbowl and start of Mardi Gras but there was nothing planned to celebrate. Campground has a vibe of primarily weekend campers.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at the Port Lavaca KOA. Melissa, Jackie, Marcia, Alyssa and Victoria are such wonderful caring staff always ensuring you have the perfect camping experience. Such a clean campground with an abundance of activities for young and old. We will be back next month!

Campground and amenities were clean and nice. My only issues were the four dogs kept in a small fence enclosure at on of the RV spots. Maybe a worker. The dogs barked at everyone that went by. No one ever stopped the barking even though they were in the tv.

Sites were very nice staff very friendly and accommodating, I had to move someone one of the electrical towers could be repaired. They upgraded me to a much nicer site and gave me a credit. Beautiful sunsets, and sunrises close to everything you could need.

Campgrounds staff were so friendly and helpful. The grounds were clean. Lots to do on the property. We will definitely camp there again.

It was quiet and clean and the dog park had a fence that you’d let your dogs loose. I enjoyed the little restaurant to get a pizza and the beverages and items that they had in the store. The pool was fantastic and clean. The whole campground was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Such a great place to get away for a little trip. Fun things for the whole family to do. Pool was nice, splash pad, pickleball, basketball court, fishing pier just to name a few.

Had a great time in the yurt. I would probably opt for a cabin or rv in the warmer months but we hit it just right. Bathrooms we not to far and they were well kept. The staff were super nice and helpful. I didn't catch the younger staff girls name but she needs a raise, she was back and forth all weekend and usually in a slow run, and made a great pizza..👍
