We had a great time despite thunderstorms. Our first time there and we wantto take our adult kids and their kids soon. We like all the activities that one can do.

Really nice Koa. We rented both the Yurt and a beautiful cabin. The Yurt is a fun experience, we were very comfortable. The cabin was beautiful, clean, excellent. The pool is heated and kept at a super nice temperature, enjoyed the hot tub too.

We stayed in the yurt tent overlooking the Bay and it was beautiful! The pool was great, bathrooms/showers awesome. We were only there one night so didn’t utilize the other amenities, but they seemed great. Staff was very friendly

Some of the most friendly staff that we've had the pleasure of dealing with. Clubhouse was small but very functional and clean. The camp "store" was adequate. The evening events for kids (and for the Adults on Friday) were very nice. The amenities were good. Plenty to do. Only complaint is getting into the place when no one answers the call button on the entrance gate! lol

I wanted a quiet and safe place for my 4 kids for spring break and this place was excellent. We stayed at a cabin that was near the office, pool, and the main area. My kids and I had a great time and I was not worried able them wondering off because this place is safe and private

Stayed in one of the cabins. Very comfortable and could cook as we liked. We ate at a couple of nice restaurants in Port Lavaca. Good fishing in the bay.

Our stay included the wonderful winter weather last week, but the stay was still great. The staff, the cabins and activities were great. I would definitely recommend this KOA and will definitely be back.

Once cabin warmed up it was great. Full stove to cook Christmas dinner & room for everyone. Great Holiday & we will meet up there again.

Great place on the bay. The kids played all day. Fished too. #2 cabin was just right for watching the kids and the accommodations were clean and very nice.

The grounds are well kept and beautiful, staff was great, activities were great, clean bathrooms. Love the fishing pier, nice campsite wood and ice delivery. Well appointed store. A+ KOA campground! We can’t wait to come back!!!

We had a mini family reunion at this KOA site and there was plenty for both adults and children to do all day. Great place to stay.

We stayed 4 nights in the glamping tent and had a great time!!! We will be back for sure. The entire place is very well maintained and the staff was very nice. If you plan to stay in that tent, be aware the wind NEVER stops so cooking outside is a huge task.

Wonderful stay. The staff was so polite and helpful. We stayed in a cabin or like a tiny home that was perfectly spotless. Every cabin is completely different which is great. The park was clean and the view was awesome if you like to be in the water. Quiet nights and clear stars.

We enjoyed talking to your friendly, professional management. This KOA had the most amenities of any campground that we have stayed at. Everything was sparkling clean and the grounds super cared for. We can't wait to visit again.

My family stayed in the yurt right by the water. We loved the amenities and the views! So much to do and look at. They had everything that we needed and more including pizza as a dinner option. My only slight complaints was the yurt was a bit muggy despite having an AC unit. Also, the bathrooms were nice but only one was in working order when we were there. The staff is super helpful though!

The campground facilities are top notch. Bailey, the manager, went above and beyond to speedily rectify an A/C issue for us, and we were very pleased with our stay.

Everything was Great, Just a little pricey for the Cabin. $100 cleaning fee thought was High, being we left it the way we found it. Thought it had Bunks, and when I paid $170 up front. Thought my Balance would be about $170, not $330. Didn't know I had the Romantic one, but guess the other one would of been even Higher. Also Small TV and Fridge.

Compared to prior visits. This cabin was not very clean. Old ice cream wrapers and the bed mattress was the worest . Felt like a crib mattress . No fluff . We have stayed in different cabins and beds were much better. Expected more for the price.

PLUS: friendly staff, everything in working order, not too crowded, pickleball courts! (Why we chose this location) MINUS: my ONLY complaint - mattresses are sooooo uncomfortable for us old folks. I would stay again but definitely bring a foam mattress topper.

It was an amazing stay. All the family oriented activities, having the pool, beach, games, etc available makes this place awesome for families!! Very very clean and well kept! All staff were so nice. Thanks for the fireworks!!!!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. As full-time RVers who have traveled coast to coast and stayed at countless campgrounds across the U.S., I can confidently say that the KOA in Port Lavaca is in a league of its own. Truly off the chain! Let's talk highlights: • Absolutely breathtaking views of Matagorda Bay—some of the best waterfront sites we've ever had. • Incredible amenities: • A fishing pier, boat slips, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and yes—even those giant floating aqua trikes (so fun!). • A pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, pickleball, volleyball, and even an arcade. • A dog park for your furry travel companions. • On-site pizza and camp store—this might sound small, but after a long drive and late check-in, having hot, delicious pizza on-site is a game changer. • Spacious, perfectly laid-out sites, many right on the water. Some allow you to fish right from your campsite! • Super clean grounds and facilities, with friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. What really sets this KOA apart is that it's not just RV-friendly—it's boater-friendly too. With boat slips available, you could literally arrive by land or by sea. It's situated directly on the bay, which connects to the Gulf, making it a paradise for anglers and water lovers. A couple tips: • Bring mosquito spray—being on the bay, the bugs do come out after sundown. • Book early if you want one of those primo waterfront sites—they're worth every penny! Final word: This campground offers everything—relaxation, adventure, scenery, and convenience. It's a gem on the Texas coast and we're already planning our return. Port Lavaca KOA, you nailed it.
