Even though the weather was overcast and gloomy we were very pleased with our stay. Lindsey and her husband Steve were very friendly and helpful if we were to need anything. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

From the moment I arrived at the site, untill I left, I really enjoyed it and I felt unbelievable comfortable. The grounds are clean, they had fun events all weekend long and Deann and Donny were super friendly and accommodating. They made me feel like part of family.

Grass was not mowed and mosquitoes were so bad we couldn't be outside. They spayed for mosquitoes the day we left but it should've been done before we arrived to stay in the yurt. Yurt does not look like the photo. Area was beautiful though and did enjoy that!

Overall stay was great, the grounds, staff, and activities were wonderful as always. Only complaint was the bed in our cabin (first cabin stay, we’ve always RV camped). It was very uncomfortable and noisy with any movement, making a good night’s sleep difficult. But the cabin was cute and very clean.

We had an incredible time with our girls. Our child requested to go camping for her birthday, we were able to reserve a Deluxe Cabin for our family of six. Everyone was very comfortable and the amenities offered are perfect for the experience. The staff went out of their way to ensure our birthday girl and her sisters were catered to. This is the KOA experience that made us become rewards members!

Adding even a small SANDY beach would make this place perfect. We dislike having to drive to Port Lavaca to a beach to swim and sand play. I’d also like some hooks in the cabin to hang wet towels/ swimsuits on. Ceiling fan in the bunkbed room would help with how hot and stuffy it gets in there. We did notice a new playground. Which was nice!

From the a moment we got there we enjoyed the amenities and the friendly customer service and staff. The owner was amazing and friendly and so communicative, I had lots of questions. The cabin was nice and clean on arrival. We had a little weather but thankful for the cabin. We have a pop up tent so glad we decied to use a cabin this round. We definitely want to go back again. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very kind, helpful, and informative. We loved all the activities the campground had to offer plus the live band and arts and crafts for the kids! Definitely would come back for another stay!

This was our second stay. Our first was during spring break this year in our RV. We loved it so much we returned with around 20 family members to celebrate our granddaughters 5th birthday. Our family rented 2 cabins and the “glamping” tent and we had an absolute blast! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very clean and well maintained. We can’t wait to return. Here fishy fishy….

We had a great time at your KOA. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for us. Glad you’re planning on making more as we’ve chosen KOA cabins as our vacation spots. It would be a fun place to bring the grandkids back to camp. The only thing to improve would be the grass burrs on the grounds. Our dogs would come back from walks covered in them. We stayed in the tent although it was private the restroom’s was too far especially at night walking on unlevel ground. Thought the price was high for what we got, felt like they nickel and dimed us for like use of paddle ball and such we had to pay although others did not.

My 2 kids and I loved the glamping tent site! We set up a tent next to it and it was perfect. Also, Kendra was super kind and helpful throughout our stay and even recommended a place for us to stop for lunch on our trip home :)

Amazing place for peace and quiet by the bay. We've decided this is our little winter hideaway. Been here twice and plan to come back many times in the future. It's very clean and well maintained. The staff is amazing. Highly recommend this KOA!!

We absolutely loved the variety of thing to do at Port Lavaca KOA! The pizza on site was very good and easy to order. One thing I would change is that we only had three plates and three bowls in our cabin although there were four of us staying…just add more place settings! Cabin was extremely clean and close to all the activities. We loved getting texts with daily activities available to us.

Exceptional, friendly, extremely helpful staff! Campground clean and well taken care of. We stayed in cabin K02, loved the waterfront view and deck. Our cabin was well supplied with necessary accessories and linens. ONLY complaint, our dog got into mud our first day and no dog bath available. We had seen one at the Harrisonburg Shenandoah Holiday KOA, so we expected one here. � We will be back

This was our first ever KOA experience and we are hooked! Kendra and staff were amazing! We had so much fun and the activities were very much welcomed as I didn't know what to do there. Y'all need an adult scavenger hunt. I wasn't over the moon about being upgraded as 1 adult 1 child and the AC in the cabin was ridiculously loud, banging, inconsistent and kept me up both nights. :( I need an RV!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. As full-time RVers who have traveled coast to coast and stayed at countless campgrounds across the U.S., I can confidently say that the KOA in Port Lavaca is in a league of its own. Truly off the chain! Let's talk highlights: • Absolutely breathtaking views of Matagorda Bay—some of the best waterfront sites we've ever had. • Incredible amenities: • A fishing pier, boat slips, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and yes—even those giant floating aqua trikes (so fun!). • A pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, pickleball, volleyball, and even an arcade. • A dog park for your furry travel companions. • On-site pizza and camp store—this might sound small, but after a long drive and late check-in, having hot, delicious pizza on-site is a game changer. • Spacious, perfectly laid-out sites, many right on the water. Some allow you to fish right from your campsite! • Super clean grounds and facilities, with friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. What really sets this KOA apart is that it's not just RV-friendly—it's boater-friendly too. With boat slips available, you could literally arrive by land or by sea. It's situated directly on the bay, which connects to the Gulf, making it a paradise for anglers and water lovers. A couple tips: • Bring mosquito spray—being on the bay, the bugs do come out after sundown. • Book early if you want one of those primo waterfront sites—they're worth every penny! Final word: This campground offers everything—relaxation, adventure, scenery, and convenience. It's a gem on the Texas coast and we're already planning our return. Port Lavaca KOA, you nailed it.
