Overall the office personnel are very helpful and gracious people. The store is well stocked. This is our second stay. Cabin 11 has a small uncomfortable living room sofa. Bring your own bedding. There’s plenty of parking at the cabin. The air conditioning is sufficient. However the bedroom AC is directly above the bed and the motor is on all night long. I’d give our stay 3.5 stars over

The stay was okay, the cabin was fairly decent, the cabin itself was pretty clean. However the bedroom did have a very strong mildew smell to it, which put us sleeping on the pull out couch the whole weekend. I did not like the fact that there were signs saying we couldn’t drop the temp down past 74 degrees, if ac units can’t withstand it upgrade them. Make your customers comfortable. Won’t

It was a really great location near water & not a far drive. The kayak/SUP rentals (plus other options) is great. The staff was very friendly & SUPER helpful with everything. The cabins, are nice the public bathrooms/showers are clean. The cabins have a small stand up grill, but we wanted to sit around a campfire so we'll have to pay attention for next time we rent as not all of them have this.

The staff at this KOA are truly the nicest and most helpful I have encountered in any realm of customer service in a long time. They were courteous, helpful and went above and beyond. The cabin and grounds were exceptionally clean. The pool is a little lackluster, which is the only reason for 9/10 rating.

The AC in our room barely keeps cold. The mini fridge is way to small for even 1 person to keep food. The shower head barely had pressure to it. Last 3 years we had a propane grill at our site and then this year we had to rent 1 for $40 bucks. Yeah no thank you. Will not be going back again.

Thank you for staying with us. Propane grill rentals are $25 for the duration of your stay, and this price includes one full tank of propane. The AC was upgraded in July and works very well with the door closed

We really enjoyed our stay at the Port Lavaca campground. The property was clean, well maintained, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy our time there. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever we had a question. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice campground in the Port Lavaca area.

We loved the location,the cabin we stayed in, how everything was so nice and quiet, just what l needed torelax for a few days,my kids had a great time and enjoyed the swimming pool very much,we'll definitely be going back next year @

We enjoyed the outdoor activities alot. The cabin was not as great as we would have liked. The tv in the master bedroom does not connect to an outlet. The description on the cabin states it can sleep 8 but the loft and bunk bed room are so hot that it is impossible for anyone to make use of those beds. Other than that, it was great!

Absolutely fantastic. They were kind and our cabin was clean and well stocked. I loved all the little activities and the employees were always very helpful. My only thing that was upsetting was when we attended an event that was listed as free on the flyer and then told we’d be charged afterwards. They said “the girl who made it probably forgot”.

Our family loved our first stay at Port Lavaca/Matagorda stay! Our cabin was very nice, clean and spacious. The clubhouse activities kept my kiddos entertained, and all the staff with so kind and helpful! We are already planning another stay.

We stayed in one of the Cabins. It was clean comfortable had a great view. The staff was very nice, helpful, and professional. The camp ground is very well maintained everything from building, games, pool and others.

rented the yurk, friday the air conditioner did not work.jason looked at it. still didnt work.jason changed out the a/c. didnt work.had to rent a hotel room in port lavaca. everyone left at 7 pm.saturday told management about situation. they did nothing.management said the yurk doesnt cool like a cabin.whatever.had to get hotel room for second nightwhat else is there to say?

All of the outdoor amenities were amazing and in a great location. Proximity of everything allowed us to relax as parents while our kids bounced around to different activities. The cabin that we stayed in was adorable, however, it did have an infestation of roaches that tainted the stay a little bit.

The staff were nice and helpful. The camp grounds were kept up. The cabin was ok, clean, had a few dishes for use to use. The one thing that was off putting was our big screen tv didn't work. But they did put a small one on the cabinet for us. That wasn't a big deal because I did not come to watch TV. Overall great stay. We will be back.

We held our 2nd Annual Family Reunion at the KOA. Once some minor bumps were handled we had a fabulous weekend. Victoria was a wonderful help with anything we needed. It is a great place for a family reunion!!

We had such a wonderful time at this KOA! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful—especially Allyssa, who was running all the Easter events, the boats, and the food. She was amazing and absolutely deserves a raise! The amenities were fantastic, and there was so much for the kids to enjoy. I also really appreciated the indoor activities offered throughout the day. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed in a cabin over spring break. The cabin was clean, the showers were hot, and it offered everything we needed. We loved all the amenities that the campground offered. So much fun! It was great to have pizza as an option there on site as well. The whole place was clean and all of the staff were very helpful and responsive. We are already planning to come back again with friend.

I am really disappointed with my stay. The hot tub was removed, which was one of amenities we were expecting, and Monday was no water available in our cabin from 2 pm to 7 pm. This is not expected when we made the reservation.

The staff that worked there were AWESOME!! You could not ask for nicer people. The two ladies that helped me were soooo nice and accommodating. The negative to the stay was the inside of our cabin 9. The bed was uncomfortable but the worst was the tiny sofa that was peeling. It had a slipcover on it that would not stay in place. It was not comfortable and it grossed me out.

The location is great that it is not too far from home (obvi depending on where home is)but also that it is near water. The bay is calmer for kayak/SUP- among the other fun options to rent & enjoy the water. This is an ideal spot for young kids with the splash pad, pool & other games, plus the staff does some additional small scavenger hunts or sometimes they have planned activities. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The cabins are nice and clean, as are the public bathrooms if you are tent camping or have a smaller camper. They have one yurt, tent camping, camper camping, and a few cabins- and more to come. There is very few large trees though, so keep that in mind to bring shade. It is a small area, so not spread apart sites. Also the cabins switch between having a stand up grill or a low campfire, which we wanted the campfire experience, so need to keep that in mind when booking a cabin. Pet friendly! We brought our cat, she went kayaking for the first time, idk if she would review that as 5 stars, but she would say 5 stars for the cabin & outdoor deck which was he favorite feature.
