Had a great time. Please hire friendlier staff. Had a cashier roll his eyes at me when I asked for the bean bags for corn hole. Same guy rolled his eyes when my wife purchased a pizza.. maybe he was having a bad day

This campground offers great grassy sites with level gravel parking pads. Lovely views of the bay, a nice Sant beach and very quiet, peaceful nights of rest. My spot was shaded by 3 trees which was heavenly on 80 degree days. Town is 20 mins away and has 4 other beaches 40 mins away.

Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back and stay longer. We would recommend Port Lavaca KOA to anyone looking for a warm vacation spot.

Loved this place, will definitely be back. You can get spoiled with Hunts pizza and wings too. Great pool, water pad and park for the kids. Staff is amazing, always there for anything you need.

We enjoyed our stay except the large size stone used on our site @nd the drive are very uncomfortable and unstable for seniors to walk on.

we have been there end of February and it was a quite peaceful, beautiful place. You can totally disconnect and enjoy the lake view and the nature. Super clean and in summer a paradise for families as the water is easy accessible and great games are there too.

very pleasant 3 week stay. the only negative is it's kind of out in the boonies and the wifi was not real reliable. swung from 65mbs to 13 all the time. very friendly staff. heated pool was great. will definitely consider staying again sometime in the future.

Stayed in one of the cabins. Very comfortable and could cook as we liked. We ate at a couple of nice restaurants in Port Lavaca. Good fishing in the bay.

It is weird the office is not open 8-6 like most KOAs we go to. The gate situation is strange and we wish there more lights there also. Otherwise it was very nice.

Thank you for reviewing! You'll find in your travels it is common for seasonal businesses to have "off season"(Dec,Jan,Feb for us)hours. Weekends,holidays,and in season hours (Mar-Nov) are 9a-7p. The absence of light pollution is by design for peace @ night & star gazing. Gate security is a plus!!

We've been on the road since Sept. 21 and mainly staying at KOA's. This is by far the best KOA we have stayed at. The staff is friendly and very competent. The only thing that could improve this campground is availability of cable TV hook-ups.

Stayed in 105 which provided more privacy than the waterfront sites and the wind was less. Beautiful place to stay to get away! Great facilities and the staff were exceptional! Hope to return next year.

This is an amazing spot! The staff is really friendly and just very helpful. Love the views, the dock fishing, the way they cater to whatever you need. I love the fact that you can't find it if you're not looking for it.. you see what I mean when you get there.. the night sky is awesome. Just a really nice two weeks I really didn't want to leave..

This is one of the best KOA we stayed at! It has everything for the young and old! Games, club house, pool, hot tub, outdoor movies, activities, and so much more! The staff were soooo wonderful and helpful. We wanted a place away from the crowds and this is it! Still close enough to town for supplies. We will hopefully return for an extended stay. We were on the bay and just beautiful! Thank you!

Although only a overnight stay, your park was by far the best this season! Staff was amazing pizza was great park is beautiful!

We visit at least once a year. One of our favorite KOAs. We are retired and usually stay during the week. My only issue with this last stay was the mowers fired up at 7:30 am. We understand property maintenance occurs mid week, but not sure has to start this early especially in January.

We were in Site# 300. The check in was at 1pm and Check out is at 11am. We had Full hook- up with a gravel/pull-through. We travel towing a 14 foot trailer and were able to fit both in our pull through site along with my jeep. The site was easy to level. Our site was not shaded and was without trees. This was a larger sized lot with our neighbors not too close. (The best lot with tons of shade is site #233). Our lot came with a concrete patio with table & 4 chairs, two Adirondack chairs, and fire ring. There is free WiFi. They do not offer Cable TV. They have a community Outdoor grill. They also have a community fire pit. They sell wood for $8 a bundle. They pickup your garbage at your site daily. You are allowed to ride personal golf carts. They also allow you to rent golf carts. There is really not a need to have a Golf cart because it is a smaller campground. They do have a heated swimming pool and hot tub. They do have kayaks/paddle boards/pedal bikes for rent. There is a Playground. They also offer shuffleboard, basketball sport court, horseshoe, and volleyball courts. They have a great general store. There is a separate Activity Center for kids. There is a Game room for kids. There is a snack bar on site that offers pizza and wings. The streets are gravel so not great for bikes. They have cabins for rent and a Yurt. They have one shower house. The shower house has individual bathrooms with your own sink, shower, toilet. These are kept clean. There is a laundry facility. It is a cash only facility, but they have a change machine ($1 & $5 bills only). There are approximately 3 washers and 6 dryers. It is approximately $2.75 to wash and $2 to dry a load. They have a small fenced in dog park. Flies were a major issue and bug spray was definitely needed. There were no trails to hike in the campground.

Great people here, running a great KOA. Lots of amenities, nice sites, and quiet! Funny, Google thinks this is a hotel, hence the zero stars for “Rooms”. Pickleball courts are a nice touch - although they needed a bit of cleaning.
