it was very nice place and small area. It had a lot of entertainments for the families in one place. It would be nice if there was a curfew time for adults to use the pool without kids. There were some kids without supervision and under age using the pool. The staff were very friendly and wanted to be sure if everyone were happy.

This is my favorite KOA in the country. But, I subtracted a star for the extremely weak wifi. Everything else is excellent!

If you looking for a family vacation that is a get-a-way, this would be it. There is tons of fun in water sports, volleyball, shuffle board, and the staff plans at least a family night event once a week. The grounds are kept immaculate. The laundry facilities are top notch and affordable. The people working there are truly a reflection of their leader. Very kind, please at, and hard working.

We were coming to the area to check on a property we just bought and I was searching for a place to charge my electric Cadillac and the KOA popped up, I was very surprised. The Tesla chargers work perfectly with the adapter I have. I think you should advertise that you have the EV Chargers. The cabins were perfect. Really enjoyed our stay. Will for sure be back.

We had a quiet vacation. The park is extremely nice I enjoyed the pool and spacious sites. The staff was very accommodating too.

Awesome, we have booked again for next year. Same cabin. A couple of things I would improve on… clean under sofa, clean fans and under fridge. Maybe provide a skillet so we could have breakfast before starting our day…..No more issues, I had a beautiful time and met some nice neighbors.

Possibly my new favorite campsite- friendly staff, fantastic location with great sites. I typically shy away from gravel sites due to ants but these were well maintained and very nice. One of the better maintained campgrounds we’ve been to!

We have been coming Labor Day weekend for the past 5 years. We were a little dissapopointed with the lack of activities. In prior years, they had a movie night. They had donuts and pancakes multiple days. They had a bubble party at the splash pad. The smores lasted longer. Our family rents all but 1 cabin and 2 camp sites and we children of all ages so we really enjoy the family activities.

Our family weekend was one of the best yet. We all had a great experience. We were welcomed by amazing staff that are friendly, incredibly helpful and always available. The amenities fit all of our needs ages 6 months - 80 years. The cabin was well stocked, very clean and comfortable. The setting on Matagorda Bay offers beautiful sunrises and sunsets with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy.

I always enjoy the stay. This time however the staff was not the usual energetic and friendly staff. The messages for the activities were a little late in coming out it was usually right before they started. You could not plan so we missed a couple of the activities. This would have bothered me if our past stays had not been so well executed with the friendly and excited employees engaging.

Staff was very friendly and communicated well. Our check in went smoothly despite having a late arrival. I wish we would’ve stayed longer to take advantage of their amenities. Our cabin did get hot but it was comfortable otherwise.

They need to re-instate the activities for the kids. The past weekend there was no activities for the kids as in the past. Everything else is top notch.

This site was an epic stay. Pool is nice and cool even during the hottest time of the year. Live the shuffle board set up. The swing up in the 2nd level really gives an amazing view of stars and matagorda bay. Pizza beer coffee bait and so much more available at store located on site. Arcade game was very nostalgic. Restrooms and shower super clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Paid for super premium site. Could see bay from one corner of site while four sites with great views empty. Grass not cut, weeds in sites. Price seems out of line with facility. No beach, limited water access, Wi-Fi described as “not available at all sites, not for streaming”. Seems like a great family place for lots of kids, but if you are looking for a stay at the beach, not the place for yo

142 is one of our most popular sites but guests can choose/move if they prefer another site. Yes grass/weeds have been a challenge as we've rcvd a significant amount of rain and had to wait for it to dry up to get to it. We are a very family/kid/pet friendly campground. Thank you for the review.

We loved our stay here! Lots of great kid oriented activities to keep the littles occupied! The "man-made beach" I wouldn't really call it that but the kids utilized the pool and splash pad more than anything. Will definitely be coming back!

We love KOA Port Lavaca and have come back many times over the years. We love coming in the summer and around October. We love the owner and the staff is always great, happy and helpful. It’s relaxing and what we need every trip.

Had a great time fishing. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff gave us a late check out due to storms. Pizza was hot and fresh! Can’t wait to go back!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. As full-time RVers who have traveled coast to coast and stayed at countless campgrounds across the U.S., I can confidently say that the KOA in Port Lavaca is in a league of its own. Truly off the chain! Let's talk highlights: • Absolutely breathtaking views of Matagorda Bay—some of the best waterfront sites we've ever had. • Incredible amenities: • A fishing pier, boat slips, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and yes—even those giant floating aqua trikes (so fun!). • A pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, pickleball, volleyball, and even an arcade. • A dog park for your furry travel companions. • On-site pizza and camp store—this might sound small, but after a long drive and late check-in, having hot, delicious pizza on-site is a game changer. • Spacious, perfectly laid-out sites, many right on the water. Some allow you to fish right from your campsite! • Super clean grounds and facilities, with friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. What really sets this KOA apart is that it's not just RV-friendly—it's boater-friendly too. With boat slips available, you could literally arrive by land or by sea. It's situated directly on the bay, which connects to the Gulf, making it a paradise for anglers and water lovers. A couple tips: • Bring mosquito spray—being on the bay, the bugs do come out after sundown. • Book early if you want one of those primo waterfront sites—they're worth every penny! Final word: This campground offers everything—relaxation, adventure, scenery, and convenience. It's a gem on the Texas coast and we're already planning our return. Port Lavaca KOA, you nailed it.
