We loved the location,the cabin we stayed in, how everything was so nice and quiet, just what l needed torelax for a few days,my kids had a great time and enjoyed the swimming pool very much,we'll definitely be going back next year @

This was our 4th stay at Port Lavaca KOA, we love it! It has become our favorite place. Everyone, from the owners, staff, even the grounds keeper, Carmen are fantastic! Y'all make us feel so welcome and like family. Beautiful park, well maintained and many amenities. A true hidden gem! Can't wait to get back there!

Love this place our favorite get away. Site 233 still needs a little more tree trimming. Starting to have concerns for dead trees and limbs in the park. Big Oaks are dead and could fall in strong winds.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! We love those big beautiful oak trees. We recently had a tree doctor come out and look at them. Luckily, those branches are not dead! Thank goodness. We are working diligently to improve their health and new leaves are coming back.

We enjoyed the outdoor activities alot. The cabin was not as great as we would have liked. The tv in the master bedroom does not connect to an outlet. The description on the cabin states it can sleep 8 but the loft and bunk bed room are so hot that it is impossible for anyone to make use of those beds. Other than that, it was great!

Absolutely fantastic. They were kind and our cabin was clean and well stocked. I loved all the little activities and the employees were always very helpful. My only thing that was upsetting was when we attended an event that was listed as free on the flyer and then told we’d be charged afterwards. They said “the girl who made it probably forgot”.

Did not like having rocks to park my trailer on. The I picked from the dissipation that it was in the shade was not true.

While our gravel sites are popular for staying cooler than concrete, we understand the shade at Site 205 is important to you. The area is surrounded by large oaks on three sides; we are currently treating one of the trees, and it is already showing healthy new leaf growth.

Park is nice and quiet. Sites are not level we had grass all the way up on the sewer connection must have over looked that one with the weed eater. Staff is friendly and helpful. Observation deck is a nice touch sunsets are beautiful!

The staff were so helpful and friendly and this KOA was peaceful, clean and had all the amenities to keep our family busy and tuned into time together. It was a wonderful stay!

Was a great stay until our final night. We were in space #136 and the family in #137 decided to party until 3:30 am. Was very disappointed no one from the campground did not intervene and shut them down. I didn’t call anyone but I know everyone in the campground heard it. Needed to enforce quiet time

Alot of amenities and clean bathrooms. It is evident that the campground is well maintained and very pleasant. We plan to stay again soon.

Our family loved our first stay at Port Lavaca/Matagorda stay! Our cabin was very nice, clean and spacious. The clubhouse activities kept my kiddos entertained, and all the staff with so kind and helpful! We are already planning another stay.

Very friendly staff, very clean. Needs bigger pool and more hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes when taking a shower. But everything else was fantastic. Keep up the great work

Great location, lots of activities for kids, and close to Walmart etc (20 minutes away). Dog park is awesome, view is awesome, and the showers/ restrooms r singles and well kept! My only recommendation is more shade and/or trees. I would go again and stay at least 3 days!

We stayed in one of the Cabins. It was clean comfortable had a great view. The staff was very nice, helpful, and professional. The camp ground is very well maintained everything from building, games, pool and others.

All the staff are very friendly. There were activities for young children. The park was kept clean and the restrooms are air conditioned. I would like more seating areas that are in the shade. No real tent sites only RV sites.

This is perfect spot for an RV park. What a hidden Gem! This is my second stay- the first one was in one of the adorable cabins that are available. A shout out to Kathy and Marchia. Two wonderful employees who were so helpful to me. I knew nothing about RVs and they were so so so so helpful! Thank you ladies for being so sweet! Not just to me but to my dog who loves you both!

Thank you for staying with us. We do offer Pizza and Wings on site and Port Lavaca is 15-20 minutes away. We're in a pristine bayfront location, perfect for fishing, birdwatching, and stargazing, with no noise/air or light pollution. Million-dollar views in a serene rural setting

We stayed 7 days, it's so peaceful there. We were in the second spot near the pool, had a great tree to sit under. Everything went great. We loved it. The only issue we had was the music from the club house was very loud a few nights and played all night. Kiddos to the women who took care of the lawn! She was the hardest worker we have ever seen. We will be back!

I would have given a 5 star except they advertised that they were having a summer kick off carnival the weekend we stayed. There was no kickoff for summer party etc. My kids were disappointed that they didn't have anything extra like they have advertised.

The location is great that it is not too far from home (obvi depending on where home is)but also that it is near water. The bay is calmer for kayak/SUP- among the other fun options to rent & enjoy the water. This is an ideal spot for young kids with the splash pad, pool & other games, plus the staff does some additional small scavenger hunts or sometimes they have planned activities. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The cabins are nice and clean, as are the public bathrooms if you are tent camping or have a smaller camper. They have one yurt, tent camping, camper camping, and a few cabins- and more to come. There is very few large trees though, so keep that in mind to bring shade. It is a small area, so not spread apart sites. Also the cabins switch between having a stand up grill or a low campfire, which we wanted the campfire experience, so need to keep that in mind when booking a cabin. Pet friendly! We brought our cat, she went kayaking for the first time, idk if she would review that as 5 stars, but she would say 5 stars for the cabin & outdoor deck which was he favorite feature.
