We have stayed here a couple times and it has been a good place to spend a day or two. Staff and owner are friendly and grounds are very well kept. Little noise from trains and interstate but its not the jersey turnpike!

I have traveled and stayed at many campgrounds but this one is the best I have ever stayed at. They have spacious lots. Everything is clean and everytime I go they have made it look better. If more campgrounds took pride in them like Felicia and Ryan they would draw repeat customers.

I purposely map my route around this campground. Keep up the good hard work Highly recommend stopping here. 10 out of 10 *

Nice big sites. Clean. Reasonably priced.

Had truck trouble, was told we could check out by 1 PM without extra charge. We worked hard to leave on time, yet got charged anyway. When I called, they blamed it on "extra stress" for the groundskeeper, despite the park being 3/4 empty... The charge caused me an extra $15 overdrawn fee on my card. It's just disappointing. I thanked them when I left and I would have just paid it then!

The Picacho/Tucson NW KOA is a great stopping point between Phoenix and Tucson. It is clean and has nice RV spots to set up and relax. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when in the area.

Very nice facilities supported by a wonderful staff. While the location is somewhat remote, it also adds to the charm. I will definitely stay there again when traveling through the area. God Bless!

Great overnight stay with great rates

The stay was okay, good location with us hiking nearby; but trains go by all night, the grounds were roughly raked dirt and gravel with no grassy areas, the pool was not heated ( cold and good for inflammation I suppose), and there were a ton of these little flys- I’m guessing from the nearby horse stables. Most other KOAs were nicer, but the people here, very nice

If I could give more stars i would have. After a wind storm closed the roads in New Mexico we were unable to arrive at the designated day. The owners could be have said we are sorry and hope to see you soon. Instead they moved my reservation to the next day, with no charge and concern for our safety. WOW! The two sisters that own this KOA are wonderful and hard working making improvements always.

Good place to stay to visit the local area like picacho state park or the casa grande ruins. The roads in the campground get pretty dusty so slow speed is a must. The size of the paw pens is a little small to be useful.

A very nice KOA located west of Tucson, Arizona and east of the I-10 and I-8 intersection near Casa Grande. Very close to Pacacho Peak mountain trails. Swimming pool is heated, very large room inside with seating, TV, games and book exchange. The host and owner was very friendly and accommodating. A very nice young man led us to our RV spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Level gravel sites and nice large lots. Very will priced! Also private RV spots with decks and fencing. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for welcoming us.

After several days at Picacho Peak State Park without full hookups, arriving at Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey felt like the kind of reset you do not fully appreciate until you need it. We arrived a bit early while the office was closed for lunch, but the large parking area out front made it easy to pull in, park, and have lunch without any stress. Once they reopened, check-in was smooth, everyone was friendly, and being escorted to our site was a great first impression. Our site was a large pull-through with full hookups (everything worked flawlessly), and even though you do not choose your own site, we ended up in one we likely would have picked ourselves. Site 69 was under a huge willow tree with a wide view over nearby farmland, and watching cows and horses grazing gave the whole stay a calm, open feel right away. The willow tree also provided real shade, which made a noticeable difference during the day. The biggest shift for us was how easy everything felt. After being without water and sewer, having full hookups again made this stop feel less like a pass through and more like a place to actually settle in and recharge. The gravel roads and gravel sites were straightforward to navigate, and the park felt very big-rig friendly with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are well spaced and easy to pull into, with a layout that feels open rather than tight. It was also noticeably quiet. Despite being close to I-10, it felt surprisingly peaceful, especially at night, and with very few people around us it was easy to relax after more active stops earlier in the trip. From a family perspective, this KOA works really well. There is a playground, a dog park, and a large jellybean-shaped pool that gave the kids space to play and unwind. The rules for children were clear and reasonable, like staying with an adult and no playing after sunset, which helped keep the environment safe without feeling restrictive. One of the most memorable details was their “follow the rules, get a cookie” system. On our way out, our boys ran into the office to let them know they had followed the rules and came back out with cookies in hand. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and stuck with them more than anything else. We also had a bundle of firewood delivered right to our site, which was convenient and added to the overall ease of the stay. Overall, this is a great example of a stop that does more than just meet basic needs. It is practical, quiet, and well run, but also has enough thoughtful touches to make it feel welcoming and memorable. It works well for both a quick overnight stop or a few days to reset. If you are traveling through this part of Arizona and want a place where you can recharge, enjoy the stop, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is absolutely worth it.
